Showed up at 1:00pm on a Saturday to a packed place. We were quick to be sat and then greeted immediately by Erica, who did an amazing job taking care of us throughout our meal. Restaurant itself was clean and nice. The girl at the bag was nice as well. I made a togo order Saturday night at the bar and the girl was nice and everything. When I got home I opened my burger and it was missing jalapeños which I paid for. And I also asked for extra pickles not "no pickles". The burger itself was okay,but after it gave me a tummy ache. I have ordered to go food from this location 4 times since they opened. The first time was good. The last 3 orders have not been good. The turkey burger patty was bland and tasted like they microwaved it. We had a gluten free bun on one of our burgers that fell apart. That was probably because they did not toast the bun at all. They also only put condiments on one side of the buns, so we always have to add our own on the other side. Fries we receive always taste a little over cooked. Especially the sweet potato fries. Stay away from the bean & cheese nachos. I was hesitant to order nachos from a burger place, but I thought I would try. That was a big mistake. My stomach is still upset and it's been almost 24 hours since I ate the nachos. Employees are OK friendly though. read more

This review is for my second visit, although it could apply to my first visit as everything was just as good. This is a burger place, not a fancy restaurant, but the type of place you'd want to spend with friends and loved ones alike. Beer, burgers, and oh the fried pickles are absolutely fantastic! On my second visit I had the chicken fried chicken which was so savory and full of flavor (they use the same batter as their fried pickles. Service is beyond exceptional- we were helped by a young man who ironically was also named "Jake." He was very attentive and made sure our drinks were kept refilled. Looking at the rest of the restaurant I could tell that service was not an issue (which is surprising for a newly opened restaurant, the way the wait staff works seemlessly you'd think they'd have been open for many years). Wylie has several burger places, some better than others, but having Jake's in our area is really going to give the others a run for our business. read more

Just left Jake's on 78 in Sachse. The food wasn't bad and the service was good. However, an employee used the bathroom and did not wash her hands before going to the kitchen!!!!! Couldn't resist a patio visit when it's 70 degrees in February!! First time at a Jake's location. Extensive menu with a good variety. We tried jalapeno bottle caps, fried pickles and fried mushrooms- all were well seasoned and prepared. For entrees - patty melt and kickin' chicken fried bacon burger with shared fries. All were well prepared, very flavorful and large portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for good food, upbeat atmosphere and SUPERIOR service. Christian was friendly, knowledgeable and a very attentive server. Looking forward to our next lunch visit AND to try the weekend breakfast menu!. read more

I was excited to see Jake's opened in Sachse. Love the one in Fort Worth! The service was great! Our server was very personable and patient. Unfortunately, our burgers were not up to par. They were small with very little of the extras. We ordered aCheddar Steer. It came with very little cheese, red onions and bbq sauce. It was very disappointing. My granddaughter ordered a Jake's burger that came on the wrong bun. We sent it back to get a plain bun for her. Well, they didn't bother to make a new burger with a new bun. In the process most of the cheese came off with the bun. It was a very plain burger. As I watched other orders coming out of the kitchen with big juicy burgers with cheese melted on the sides I wondered why ours were not the same. We will try again someday with the hope of a better food experience. read more
