We had great burgers here at Jake's! My husband had the Works Burger and enjoyed it! I had the Patty Melt and I couldn't finished it because it's a big sandwich. The Texas Toast was delicious! Second visit to this location. Wait staff rocked. Most of the kinks with new opening have been worked out. The bottle cap burger rocked both visits. Kids meals were a hit both visits. I was charged for requesting mayo first visit and not charged second visit. Not a fan of charging for basic condiments unless they are some sort of fancy upgrade. There was also confusion on how much drinks cost for kids meals. I see both of these items as new opening issues that will get worked out. The environment can be loud (it's a sports bar!). There is more parking in back. Overall this place is a hit. Would recommend and will be back. read more

It was Wednesday date night and we had tried Jake's in the past when it had just opened. The first time our family received bad service by the door staff to the level that we left to another place. This was our third visit so I feel it was time to give the place a review. First, parking is limited due to the design of the area. On a busy night, parking will be at a premium. When you enter, you have to be seated by the host. It's a very spacious sports bar set up. The individual who sat us had a wide open venue yet sat us by the bathroom in front of glass windows with the sun shining right on us. By the time we were done with our meal, the sun was in our face. Our server came by to take our order, her approach was a bit rough for us on date night. We ordered the loaded cheese tots as an appetizer and our drinks arrived. The bathrooms are located in the back on the right side behind the kids game area. The restrooms are clean and well kept. The tater tots had a great flavor with the spicy salsa and cheese. The mother of cashew ordered the chili dog and I had the breakfast burger. This establishment charges you mad money for a side to your burger. As stated, the tots were 4 stars, burger was cooked to order and egg yolk was not hard. The sweet potato fries for 5 bucks were small and came with a candy like dipping sauce. I really don't know if our server was angry, pushy or a bit over but she did come around enough times. I recommend this place for couples but for a family of 5 like us, we'll pass due to budget reasons. Effective food, good environment and just customer service need a taste of Chick-fil-A read more

These burgers are delicious and huge! We enjoyed the cheese curds as well and I'm glad this location is not too far of a drive from us. Same with the kids corny dog, my son said dang! this is big. Thought the fruit that came with his kids meal would be fresh fruit but it's a fruit cup like from the grocery store. I think it may have been sugar free because he didn't care for it, lol. Wish I could actually review the food, but this review is for the customer service because I couldn't actually place an order. I tried to place a to go order because my fiancé has Covid and we were trying to be responsible and not sit inside to possibly pass it off to someone else. We were so excited to finally get food from this location and had been looking forward to it for months. Called, recorded voice message for this location said they were not accepting call-in to go orders but walk-in to go orders were welcome, ok, cool. Just opened, I get it. So, I drive in to place the order. Let me set the scene; It's a Thursday night, no wait, open tables and plenty of seating at the bar. A couple servers were casually standing at the hostess stand just chatting up the hostesses. Pretty quiet inside. Once I'm finally greeted after interrupting the conversation they had going on, I ask to place a to go order. One girl ignores me completely and the other starts taping a pen saying she doesn't think they are accepting to go orders. I mention the phone recording for their location states they are accepting walk-in to go orders and I'm then told the kitchen is "too backed-up" for me to place an order. Please revert back to my prior paragraph where I set the scene. It wasn't crazy busy, it was an average Thursday night. Not even a sense that they would pretend to try and accommodate a to go order. I'm not sure how sitting at a table and waiting for my food would've been any different from sitting in my car waiting for my food, but they sure were not interested in my business, so I will continue to take it elsewhere. Unfortunate that the customer service is so terrible, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for the entire company. 0/5 stars, do not and will not recommend to anyone. read more

My party of 4 was seated quickly on a Friday night. The chicken fried steak and grilled chicken sandwich were delicious. We also ordered the funnel cake fries with strawberry sauce and it was the best item on the menu. Our waitress, Rebecca, was attentive without hovering and really nice and friendly. Tried this new location for the first time last night to see what all the hype was about. What a letdown. First impression, the restaurant was dirty. Trash on the floors, dirty restrooms and dirty front door. Server took our drink order and we waited over 15 minutes before tracking him down to ask about our bar drinks. Ordered our burgers and the food took a long time to arrive. When it finally did it was underwhelming to say the least. The fries were soggy and cold. The buns were stale and breaking apart. The burgers were cold. There were good flavors in there but hard to enjoy when not hot and fresh. This will be a one and done for us. We will not be back. Service was great, ordered the grill chicken dinner, don't order this if you're hungry. The chicken did have a good flavor but was small and thin. The server would never refill our drinks unless we asked, and that's when we would see her to flag her down. The food was fantastic! The portion sizes are large - we split queso tots and each had our own burger, and we had more than enough. Ray was a very attentive server, and he was really warm. We will definitely come back! The only feedback we'd have is that the music was very loud during a busy time, so the combination of ambient noise plus the music was a bit much. We always enjoy when restaurants turn the music down a bit during busy times instead of turning it up! I have been so excited to go to Jake's since it opened in Sachse. Every time we went it was packed. We gave it a shot tonight and what a huge let down. Cold, hard fries, both my daughter's and my burgers were wrong and they must have change the buns over the years because it was mostly bun. I really am bummed considering how excited I was that we got a Jake's. What is worse, I went to the restroom and an employee was washing her hands, she did not use soap and barely got her hands wet. Didn't know a Jake's had opened here recently. I'd heard good things about them, so when I happened to drive by and see this location I decided to give it a try on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon. It was just before noon when I walked in, and the place was packed. I decided to get the food to go, as I didn't see any open tables and it was quite noisy inside. If you're into a rather loud ambiance then you'll probably love this place. Can't blame Jake's for that, if there's that much going on then it means they're busy, and that's a good thing. After a bit of "Sorry could you repeat that? I didn't hear you." back and forth I was finally able to place an order to go for a "The Jake" burger, a single patty with lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and mustard for $8.99 and an order of their hand-cut french fries for $3.29. With tax and tip it came out to $16.00. May I say that the service was very good. Of course I was just there for an order to go, so it wasn't like they had a table to wait on, but I sat at the bar while I waited for my food to come up and was given a large glass of ice water. I appreciate that, and also the way the entire place looked clean and well cared for even in the busiest times like this. So, after about 15 minutes my food was handed over, and I went out to my car. Originally I was going to take it home, but decided to just eat it in my car, which was parked directly out in front, so I could enjoy it as fresh and hot as possible. Good thing I did, as both the burger and fries were only lukewarm just a couple of minutes after they handed it to me. Not sure why that was, as the place was so busy I had imagined that it had to have been cooked fresh. But wow, that didn't seem to be the case. I'll start out by saying that both the burger and the fries tasted fairly good. The burger was well made, the ingredients were fresh, and was cooked just about right. The meat patty itself was somewhat on the thinner side, and the poppy seed bun was very good. But again, it came to me only lukewarm at best. The fries tasted fine, but every single one of them was only lukewarm and limp. And I mean really really soggy and limp. You could have sprinkled them with Viagra and it wouldn't have helped these things. Maybe if I'd taken them home and put them in the oven to crisp them up they would have been great, but I shouldn't have to do that. They should have been served crisp to begin with. These weren't. Not even close. Overall I'm giving this Jake's 4 stars but would give it 3 1/2 if it was possible. Service was not to the level of exceptional, but it was very good. The food had potential, however it was served to me lukewarm at best. Not cold, but nowhere near even close to being hot. Have to say, I ordered the cheapest burger on the menu (no cheese or any add ons) and an order of fries, (no drink) which came out to about $13, and with tip about $16. I feel that it wasn't a great deal, and I probably could have gone elsewhere for a similar meal just as satisfying for a good deal less money. Maybe I'll go back there, maybe I won't. Give Jake's a try and see what you think. read more

If it wasn't for the food, I would actually give my experience two stars. My boyfriend and I were really excited to try out this new burger joint that opened up here in Sachse. We sat down and were greeted in a very reasonable timeframe. Our appetizers were fairly quick to hit the table, our drinks as well. Our server JV was nice, but forgot to ring in our order for about 30 minutes... he also forgot my boyfriend's second cocktail. He did come over and inform us that the kitchen didn't receive our order, so kudos to him for informing us of his mistake. When our entrées finally hit the table, we both really enjoyed our burgers. The fries were just OK in our opinion! The ambiance was pretty cool! Tons of different TVs, open floor-plan, patio seating, when weather permits, etc. When the bill came, I noticed that my boyfriend's sandwich got charged with cheese. It wasn't a big mess up by any means, it was $.75 so I didn't say anything because honestly I kinda just wanted to leave at this point. ONE THING TO KEEP IN MIND: this may be a burger joint, but it's honestly kind of pricey as well... for two waters, fried pickles, two burgers, one basket of fry, and two cocktails you're gonna look to spend about $70 bucks! (Tip included) As someone who works in the service industry, and has for many years. I'm a firm believer in not judging a place after one visit... unless your service/food was absolutely horrendous... So we'll be back sometime to try again! read more

For our appetizer we got Jake's Triple Play with German Pretzel Bites, Mozarella Cheese Sticks, and Hand- Breaded Pickle Chips. My Husband got the Mushroom and Swiss Burger with no onions and no pickles. My Son got the Chicken Tender Kid's Meal with fries and a root beer float.
