We had a fantastic experience at Jake's! It's a family-owned dockside restaurant with beautiful views of the bay. It is busy as soon as it opens, and I can see why. Service is super fast and efficient, and the seafood is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the swordfish sandwich. The lobster roll and raw oysters were top notch. We'll be back!

Our table view, window open to enjoy the breeze and our delicious lunch!

The table had a window with the most spectacular view of the ocean and marina. Our fish sandwiches arrived quickly and were hot & delicious! The atmosphere was great with nautical decorations. Our waitress was great and encouraged us to take a walk along Nantasket Beach. We can't wait to return and try another seafood meal. Highly recommend!

I am so happy that I found this restaurant, what a hidden gem. The reviews was also highly rated too. Knowing me I had to call to make sure that the seafood was wild caught and it was not farm raised. The hostess told me everything was fresh minus the salmon that was only farm raised. The wait was not that bad at all - they said a hour in a half but it was definitely shorter then that since a lot of other individuals have left because of the long wait. We probably only waited for about 20 - 30 min. Everything was delicious here from the raw seafood , calmaria and for my dinner entree I got the Schrood which was the wild caught cod , with mashed potatoes and coleslaw it was very very delicious. We also saw a celebrity at the restaurant as well which was very cool. Everyone was very nice there including the staff. I highly recommend going there.

    Whole belly clam plate.

The clams were overpriced for the quantity and quality. They are advertised as small belly, but when told they were about the size of a nickel and what was delivered were barely visible to the eye. For those that enjoy the belly, we know we will pay a premium, but $41.99 for this was outrageous. I would have expected quite a bit more clams for the price. Take away- DO NOT COME HERE

Ask the Community - Jake's Seafood Restaurant

My boyfriend keeps telling me Jake's closes during the winter months. I can't find that info anywhere but he insists. Can anyone confirm their hours during the November/December months?

It is seasonal, sadly. I'd call if I were you. Henry

The DJ did an awesome job mixing some of my favorites-Usher, Mary J. and SWV to country and rock, which was alright with me. Our server was friendly. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop deck overlooking the beach while having drinks. The blueberry margarita and piña colada were both excellent and definitely worth ordering. The food was the only downside. The lobster Rangoon wasn't a hitting, the fish sandwich was just okay, and the fries were too salty. The overall experience, location, drinks, music, and service more than made up for it. We'll definitely be back for the atmosphere, drinks, and rooftop vibes.

Sitting at the bar over looking the view toward the ocean is a plus! It wasn't busy at all and there were plenty of 20 something Staff wondering around and chatting with each other and was more like they were out at the beach! We ordered one regular Margarita and two entrees One Haddock Taco and one Fish Sandwich ! Both arrived and looked appealing and it was Hot and tasty! The Bartender was pleasant and basically doing her thing! The food arrived by another Staff member ! When we got the Check like most people they see the amount and pay it, but, it seemed abit HIGH! Almost $80.00 Looking at what we ordered the Bartender charged us for Two Margaritas plus and additional $4.00 for what I have no idea plus then Haddock Tacos on the menu was $20 but was charged $21.00! Then An additional charge for Administration Fee, now that's a kick! So I asked the Bartender to correct the bill, and she just removed $14.00 for the extra Margarita we did not have! Not to nickel and dime the Bill, still wasn't correct but we paid cash on $60 and left $10 tip which I think was a bit much! First and last time dining here for sure! But I know they don't need MY business cause it will always be a place to go and dine on the beach.

Menu Read: Lobster Roll, on toasted roll, served with coleslaw Since lobster rolls come in many different varieties, hot, cold, mayo, drawn butter etc. I asked the waitress how they were prepared, she informed 'made to order, mayo & celery.' Perfect! Just the way we like it, we ordered two, a side of fries, a beer & soda water. A few minutes later our food was delivered, on my first bite I noticed a ton of chopped onions in it. The waitress was busy & I was patient. When she came back I explained I was allergic to onions. She picked up the plate & started walking away while I was still talking. I asked if I could order something else. Her response was "Don't you just want me to have them make you another one without onions?" ‍ Sure. A few minutes later a man brought out another lobster roll & started reprimanding me saying it 'was rude to the kitchen staff to send my meal back, I should've thought twice about ordering it, they'll have to waste that lobster roll, they can't resell it' etc. At this point other customers were starting because he was yelling - turns out he was a manager ‍ We left money on the table & walked out

Having been, now, a few times, I think the reviews are a bit understated. it is fresh, fast, kind. On Christmas Eve, (La Vigilia), many Italian families celebrate the "Feast of the Seven Fishes"…read more The custom is to serve seven different seafood dishes, each one representing one of the seven sacraments. At least that's the version of the story we've always gone by. The usual menu (since I was a tiny tot) has always included: pasta with lobster, baked stuffed shrimp, bacala (salt cod) salad, another bacala dish; this one with a marinara sauce, pan-fried smelts, clams one way or another; often casino-style, calamari, and then whatever else suits us that year to total at least seven dishes. While I didn't appreciate aspects of this meal when I was a kid (read: any bacala dish), it's now probably my favorite holiday feast bar none with any and all bacala included. While I usually get my fish at Rockyneck no matter what time of year, the day or two leading up to Christmas Eve is when we've got to buckle down. The crowd is coming. Rockyneck doesn't steer us wrong. It's actually inside the Hingham Fruit Center, a store I love and which I've reviewed separately. It consists of one large seafood counter within the larger grocery store and is its own business. I'm generally impressed with the freshness, quality and taste of the seafood they carry. The look of the fish is always pristine and I never hesitate over any of their offerings. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful and will do their best to get you the very best of what you need when you need it. Christmas Eve notwithstanding, this place is a conveniently located little gem.
