Came here with my grandkids after going to see Jacob Two Tree troll. Casual atmosphere. There's a small bar area if you don't want to sit at a table. Food and service was very good. I do recommend but it is a little pricey so if you're on a budget, probably not the place you want to eat.

    California Benedict

Homestyle and no- fuss great quality food served with an old world ambience. It's got that neighborhood restaurant in a small town where everyone knows everyone type vibe. My friends and I came for brunch here one weekend. We came 30 minutes before our reservation, but they were happy to accommodate us. They seated us right away. Okay, let's talk food. I got the California Benedict and my friends got the crab cakes Benedict. We also ordered some mimosas because who eats brunch without mimosas. My Benny was made perfectly-- the hollandaise was very flavorful. My friends said their crab cakes were excellent. The smashed potatoes were perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, but a little on the saltier side. Service was good-- our waitress was sweet. My only complaint is that the wait time for food was long-- took about 30 minutes. Almost felt like they had forgotten our order. Be prepared to hunt for a parking spot. Because this place is in the old town area, there are just small public parking lots here and there and street/side parking only. On a nice sunny weekend I imagine it's going to be tough finding a spot so come few minutes in advance.

    Happy Hour Cheeseburger and fries

Fast, friendly service in the bar for Happy Hour. Brief but adequate menu. We both had the Cheeseburger and fries and 2 beers: $60 before tip. Burger was a bit dry but the flavor came through without the extra Condiment. Adding a bit of ketchup leftover from the fries added enough moisture. Crisp leaf lettuce, sliced white onions, and tomato added to the mile high burger. Will be back to order the sliders and Caesar salad. Enjoy!

I usually go to Jak's for brunch with my friends, but it had been a minute since I'd been there especially for dinner (honestly, years!). We went to celebrate my friend's birthday, and overall it was a great experience. They were packed, but our food still came out fast, which we really appreciated. The service was friendly, though it was a bit hard to get our waitress's attention at times totally understandable though, she was clearly hustling and the place was super busy. The food was good, and the desserts were definitely the highlight. We all left happy. Jak's is still a solid spot whether you're there for brunch or finally making it back for dinner!

    THE JAK'S BENE

Jak's is a cozy spot and the service is always great. Everyone is so nice. The food has always been excellent, in my opinion. I had The Jak's Bene for the first time and it was incredible! Try the whole menu! I haven't but I have yet to be disappointed.

    Steak dinner nowadays

Oh boy! I mean I originally wasn't a fan going with larger groups, but it became a wonderful spot for dinners with my hubby. The steaks were big, the plate was full, you got a salad, bread, veggies, all around just fantastic. I know restaurants have to tighten their belt, but we were just there a couple of months ago and going from full meal deal as always to a super sad plate of pre-cut steak and a handful of fries... this is no longer the Jaks we love. Did ownership change? What happened? I'm sad to say, unless they let me cut my steak again, get at least a handful of veggies on the plate and make food look appetizing again... not sure why I can't go to Applebee's and get a nicer looking plate for less. You are a steak house, there are expectations and the new menu failed.

Had a wonderful dinner at Jak's Grill! From the moment we walked in, the hosts were so welcoming and the servers were incredibly sweet and attentive. The food came out surprisingly fast, and my steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, exactly how I ordered it. The atmosphere is great, and I was impressed by how clean the restrooms were. Plus, parking is very convenient. Considering the quality and service, the prices are very reasonable. Definitely a 5-star experience

After a great steak dinner at the West Seattle location, I had to try the Issaquah Jak's for brunch, and it did not disappoint. This place is the definition of a hearty, classic American breakfast. We ordered the Signature Prime Burger, Country Fried Steak, and Jak's Scramble. * Prime Burger: It's massive and incredibly juicy. You can choose between fries or a salad, but either way, it's a satisfying meal. * Jak's Scramble: Very filling and packed with flavor. * Country Fried Steak (My Personal Favorite!): Yes, it's a total calorie bomb, but worth every bite. The steak is perfectly fried, smothered in rich sausage gravy, and served with roasted potatoes and two eggs. Pro Tip for the Biscuits: Their biscuits are light, buttery, and delicious. Make sure to ask for honey! Spreading butter and drizzling honey on those biscuits is a game-changer. It's that perfect mix of crunchy, savory, and "guilty pleasure" goodness. Normally, I'd go for their "Mammosa" (the giant version of a Mimosa--great value for the price!), but I'm taking a break from alcohol lately. If you're looking for a drink, that's the one to get! The vibe is like a cozy, high-end neighborhood gem. Service is always friendly, though it can be a little relaxed (slow) at times, but that's part of the weekend brunch charm. There's a reason this place has been a local favorite for so long. If you want a real American brunch, this is the spot!

    Prime Rib Dip

Arrived a little before 5pm on our way over the mountain ready for an early dinner. We were asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but were seated quickly. We ordered the Prime Rib Dip and the Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken. Both were delicious and served promptly. The waitress was friendly, efficient and did a great job keeping our drinks full. The restaurant has a friendly pub feel and we really enjoyed it!

I'm so glad that I got to support a mom and pop business. I walked in at 10am and the dining area was still very spacious. By the time I left at 11am, the restaurant was already packed! The steak was so tender and juicy in my hash skillet and the fresh toasts my husband had was also perfecto!

    Beef Wellington
    Don B.

Had to come here for a second year of having the Beef Wellington. If you enjoy this dish, I would recommend giving Jak's a try. The beef medallion was good sized and cooked to a perfect medium rare with a nice flakey puff pastry shell and savory beef gravy. Came with asparagus and I chose the baked potato. Place was very busy for the holidays but we were seated quickly due to reservations. Ended up with a good booth in the back which helped with the noise. Server was friendly but a little hard to understand because of a language barrier and also lingered a little long at tables which made the service longer than normal. This was a one off experience, since other times service has been great. Overall great holiday dinner!

JaK's restaurant is one of our favorite restaurants. As usual we all had another wonderful meal. Our 3 steaks were juicy and cooked perfectly. The seasonal choices on the menu providing tasty new options to try. The appetizer of burrata and grilled stone fruit was presented beautifully and was a tasty mix of flavors. My husband always orders the bread pudding for dessert their featured bread pudding was dark chocolate marmalade. It was delicious! both flavors worked really well together. Our server was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed. She even shared the secret side dish with us - the UFO, we were all stunned that we never knew this. It's garlic mash potatoes topped with a potato pancake. The best of both worlds! We were beyond thrilled! Thank you JaK's for another great meal.

When we walked in, almost all the tables were full and the dining room is shaped kind of like an L. There are booths and normal wooden tables. We were greeted by a host and sat down immediately upon entering. The majority of the tables in the restaurant were filled as well. That caused service to be pretty inattentive and slow. We didn't get to place our order for 10 minutes and it took another 40 minutes to come out. The server did apologize for this and explained there was a big party in the back, so there was grace for this as the staff members all seemed kind. We had ordered several dishes to share. Fun fact: you can ask for items to be made in side portions even though it's not listed on the menu like we did with the pancakes and hash. lemon ricotta pancake: fluffy and light texture wise. I didn't taste much lemon, but the fresh berries and cream atop still made for a delicious bite. The batter itself isn't too sweet either and i liked how they placed all the condiments on the side. corned beef hash: well seasoned. This was my first time trying corned beef hash, so I don't have anything to compare it to. It's a simple dish with beef and potatoes but I probably wouldn't order again so I felt it was dry to eat alone without sauce. crab benedict: crabs tasted fresh and the eggs were well poached. It had the perfect runny consistency. My only critique is that I wish the hollandaise sauce was stronger, it gets muted by the crab and egg. migas: I enjoyed the flavor, but wished there was more protein. It was mainly tortilla chips and I didn't see the bell peppers listed on the menu. The hashbrowns I got with the dish were crispy and not too oily. I also enjoyed their fresh baked biscuits which were moist and paired well with the berry jam provided. All in all, I thought they had very good portion sizes at this restaurant for the price of things. We enjoyed the flavor and atmosphere. It can get loud with a lot of people dining all at once and the tables being so close together, but it's a nice option for family breakfast if you don't mind these factors. I rounded up a star giving them the benefit of the doubt that their service isn't normally like, but I appreciate the freshness of their ingredients most. It's worth the try and they have a nice parking lot in the back of the plaza that is free.

The California Eggs Benedict came with grilled onions, which I absolutely loved. (You don't see onions typically in that dish.) Hash browns were meh. My favorite however was the avocado crema that came with the Breakfast Quesadillas. Creamy and flavorful-- they made the quesadillas sing. Quesadillas were scrumptious-- chock full of scrambled eggs, veggies, and green onions, this one is going to be on our repeat menu . We loved it so much that the person who served gave a complimentary cup to go as we were packing the leftovers. On that note I must say that the service was warm and attentive. We came on a weekday for brunch and were amazed to see how full it was. There was quite a bit of wait for lunch hour so this tells me how popular this place is. It was a gorgeous day, so we decided to stop in for happy hour and enjoy the outdoor seating. We chose the bar patio, which was cozy, fully covered, and set up with a handful of small high-top tables, making it a really comfortable spot to relax. The drink menu could use a little more detail, since none of the draft options were listed. When we asked about cider, our server checked and let us know they had a cherry pomegranate cider on tap. For beer, the options were simply described as an IPA and a lager, so we went with the lager. It was good, though we never found out which brewery it was from. We also ordered a mule, which was well made. For happy hour, we shared the half charcuterie board ($12), and it was beautifully presented with a great variety. We were impressed enough to stay for dinner afterward. We ordered the burger and the Greek salad with chicken after learning they were out of prawns. Our server also thoughtfully mentioned they were out of Kalamata olives in case that changed my order, which I appreciated. Both entrees were delicious. The burger stood out thanks to the homemade ketchup, which was especially good. The Greek salad was fresh and flavorful, though a bit light on portion size. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive, and by around 7 p.m. on a Friday, the restaurant had become quite busy. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great patio ambiance, solid food, and warm service.

The house made ketchup they are so proud of is very sweet. So if you really don't like sweet with your fries be warned. So decided to try them for dinner. I had the zucchini lasagna. Yikes. Lets call it dry cheese lasagna with a sliver or 2 of zucchini. Was really expecting a more veggie type dish. Not what I got. Also the arugula and pickled red onion salad was super bland. My hubby tried the halibut dish at 42$. He had an overcooked piece of fish and a side of basic potatoes and broccoli. So sorry to say that this place....as cute as it is and a nice as they are is off our list.
