I was not really impressed. The service was blah.. we had to ask for more chips and she seemed put out for having to get us some. The food was ok. I hade the Jalapeño platter and my husband had fajita quesadillas. He enjoyed his meal I was not impressed. The salsa was not spicy at all and the bean dip was ok. I think I was expecting more just the way I have heard so many people talk about how good it is. Visiting family in Midlothian over the weekend and have heard them talk about Jalapenos, so decided we'd try it for lunch. We all ordered something different and the only complaint was that the Chili Relleno could have been served a little hotter. My shrimp enchiladas came out steaming hot and were tasty and had plenty of shrimp. Their salsa is really fresh and tasty. Be sure to ask for their spicy version which has a nice kick. The food was pretty good. I'm from South Texas, so my tastes in TexMex are a little different so to find a little place close to home with food this good to me is a miracle. The street tacos a tasty and the meat was cooked perfectly. The food comes out fresh with the meat still hot and the lettuce still cold and crisp. The wait staff is also super attentive. They don't care if they're not the waiter for your table, if they pass by and see you need something, they are going to stop and help. We never ran out of drinks or chips and didn't have to sit with empty plates for very long. Great place to come to. We will for sure come back! read more

Came here on Saturday it was pretty bus but we were seated. They brought us chips and salsa and we ordered white queso. It was one of the better quesos I've had. We ordered shredded chicken chimichanga and brisket quesadilla to share. The food came fast, I tried the rice first and it was one of the best rices I've had, the beans were okay. I really liked the chimichanga, good size and flavorful. The brisket quesadilla was also pretty good. Some of the better Tex-Mex I've had. Service was good too and I'd definitely go back. read more

Great Mexican food, friendly staff and seems to be a true locals place with plenty of regulars. The queso blanco is amazing! Only negative is that the service can get a bit slow during lunch rush, and the order of service seems to be a little off at times. It can take awhile just to get waters and your order in. read more

Both food and drinks were well above my expectations. The food is very hot, fresh, tasty and the margaritas very good are strong, so be careful if you are driving. We will be back. I believe our server must have been new because she accidentally incorrectly placed 2/5 dinner orders from our table. Although the meals were wrong, we still ate them and they were good. I ordered a large amount of food from this restaurant for my wife's 40th birthday. The owner and employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Angie took my order and made sure everything was made to perfection. And it was. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the barbacoa street tacos and beef quesadillas. All restaurants should strive for this type of quality to their customers. Good Tex-Mex food. Huge menu! Chips and the salsa were good. Salsa is not too hot and has a sweetness to it. They also serve a black bean sauce that is good. I ordered the beef tacos Al carbon which came with rice and refried beans and small side of guacamole. Beef had very little seasoning but was tender, corn tortillas were store bought. Guacamole had way too many raw onions in it. My husband got the street taco plate pastor. If u have been going to the smaller Mexican restaurants for these, u really come to enjoy homemade tortillas. Anything else is just dull. Margaritas were mostly the mix and not much tequila. It's a busy place and the service is great. But for $75, not worth it. read more

Great service, super friendly employees; quarantine pickup process requires you to pay inside but employees were wearing mask/gloves. Queso Blanco=delicious! Enchiladas, good. Kids meal came with wrong side but was fine. Fajitas were good but tortillas are not homemade so will try corn next time; fajita setup was very sparse, lucky we were home for our own "fixins" to add. Went for lunch today, after reading some of the reviews. I was very hopeful that I would have another option for good Tex mex in the area. First off, the building is not very impressive. Just a little older strip with a few other businesses. Staff was friendly. Interior is worn and old. Obvious that this business has not put much of their revenue back into the business. The thing that blew me away was how freaking busy this place was for lunch on a Monday. Almost every table was occupied. Got the salsa and chips, along with some black bean dip, and was disappointed. Salsa had this weird flavor. Bean dip was OK. I always use chicken fajita nachos as the barometer for Tex mex. If they can pull that very simple dish off, then they pass the test. Chicken was moist and tasty. Guacamole was good. Chips were very thin, and the refried beans they put on the chip soaked the chips, and they could not hold up to the chicken and cheese. Soggy chips don't pass the test. My wife got the fish tacos, and finished it off, but had this look on her face the whole time we were there. When we left, she said we won't be going back. We live in Mansfield, and have some good options nearby. I can't imagine driving back to Midlothian for this. 3 stars is probably generous. When I really want some good Tex mex, I'll go to Mesomaya in Ft. Worth on Hulen. Or drive 1 minute to Mama Cucas in Mansfield. There are better options. read more

Nice staff. Clean and neat tables. Bathrooms are clean. Food was pretty standard Tex-Mex. I had beef enchiladas with rice and beans. They tasted fresh. They sneak jalapeño slices in the enchilada that are not hot but I enjoyed it that way. I also ordered small bowl of queso. It was a thicker queso and the small size was an adequate amount for one person. Salsa was watery and not thick like I prefer. They also serve a puréed bean like sauce for the chips which I've never seen before. I had unsweet tea which was good. Tasted Like filtered water. I had the order of three sopapillas. Pretty standard. I like that they give you a small syrup pitcher of honey. They waitress runs the check for you when your ready to pay.
