The "House" Chicken Quesadillas is my wife and My favorite dish. It's big enough for her and I to split. I highly recommend this place! We have visited this MANY times since they opened.

I'm astonished that I've lived so close to this restaurant without ever visiting before. It's incredibly cozy, with a fantastic atmosphere and impeccable cleanliness. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be returning!

I'd love to give this place a better review because I think it has massive potential. The same goes for their other For Wayne location. There's goods and bads about Jalapeños, so here's my take on it. Hands down best margaritas I've had in the area. All food is nice and fresh, and we'll presented. The chips & salsa don't suck, but their not my favorite either. I feel like there's too much pepper taste in it for my liking. There's definitely a unique flavor to the food here that's a bit different from "traditional" Mexican restaurants here in the Midwest, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you have an open mind. My borrito was excellent while the wife's salad was meh at best. Granted she ordered it without the protein, but it definitely could have been better. They're chipotle sauce is on point and the menu is versatile with lots of the usual Mexican choices and a good handful of unique dishes. Ambiance is standard and the staff is attentive but not exactly "bubbly". I'll definitely return and hope to upgrade my rating in the future.

It was okay. If someone told me that's where we were having dinner, I'd go. But I don't think I'd ever choose it again myself. I think last night was our waiter's first night working there. He took our order without writing it down. He forgot a couple things and had to come back twice to ask us questions about our order. We ordered taquitos for an appetizer, but he brought it out with our meals. There wasn't anything wrong with the food, per se. It was just average. The staff was very friendly.

This was our first time eating at Jalapenos Mexican Grill today for lunch. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. As well the employees were all nice, greeting us as we walked through the door. The food that we got was all good, and piping hot. However, if I had to choose the best meal out of the three we choose for today. It would definitely be the birria tacos! We are all looking forward to coming back to taste some more delicious food.

Food was Hot & Fresh but Mediocre... Salsa was delicious, but chips were too thick and cold!

What a nice find! We had great service and delicious food. I ordered the taquitos and my husband had enchiladas. Both were fresh tasting and delicious. The margaritas are wonderful too! There's a lot of room, many tables and booths. I can't wait to go back to try other tasty items.

Chiles poblanos. That's cheese, not chicken.

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.

We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Also, it's supposed to be an upscale place and they were out of paper towels in the bathroom. I feel like that is just basic service they should check on regularly.

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...
