I ordered the JaM Cellar Napa Valley Flight $20 - Toast Sparkling NV - 2015 Butter Chardonnay, Napa Valley - 2014 JaM Cabernet, Napa Valley I'm not a huge fan of Chardonnay, probably one of my least favorite wines, but this was delicious. Buttery and smooth. The cab was great as well. Sofia was very up front, sweet and welcoming. She made us feel welcomed and gave us the scoop. She's very fast, efficient and straight to the point and I love that about people. I recommend coming here if you're looking for a late night wine tasting. My husband and I were finishing up an anniversary trip to Napa and Calistoga, and decided to do a last stop at JaM Cellars. I had walked past this place on previous visits to Napa but never took the time to stop in, even though the music theme always intrigued me. What a gem!! Seriously, this had to be one of our favorite stops on our whole trip. Our "JaMbassador" Irie treated us like VIPs the moment we walked in. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and I would absolutely consider stopping by next time we're in Napa just to say hi. Oh! And the wines were far better than the over-priced bottles we purchased earlier in the week. Wish we would've stopped there first . All in all, I highly recommend this as a must-stop when in Napa. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I love sweet wines. We tried this place because of a decently priced Groupon but I'm glad we went. We tried the butter, toast, candy and jam. All were good. The butter lived up to the name, I've never had a wine taste so buttery, but it smelled very woody/oaky. The candy was good for a rose (I generally don't like rose). Toast was probably my favorite. Jam was good, it wasn't to strong. The odd thing is usually the wine tasting ends with the sweeter flavors, but for our tasting it was backwards. The wine surprisingly still were tasty. The other additives to this place is the atmosphere (I like the music artist theme) and their appetizer choice had a good variety and decent price for Napa. You should definitely try if you like sweet wines. read more

Issac , Sam & Michael made the whole experience! I came to Napa for the first time to celebrate my 30th birthday and didn't make reservations at the fancy wineries and wanted to explore the downtown and I am SO glad I did, because I found this hidden gem. I really loved the atmosphere and Issac and Michael would pick up their guitars and break out into songs! They were so engaging and down to earth and my experience was far more personal than it would've been at bigger wineries. We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine and leaving with the biggest smiles on our faces! I will forever hold this experience in my heart and will be back to see Issac & Michael next time..we will miss seeing sam,but yay for her promotion!! Stopped here for wine tasting. Loved the selection and the sommelier was super nice and knowledgeable.

Fun experience. Their wine is really fragrance, on the whites especially. I'm usually a red drinker, but the whites were very pleasant. The women that presented the tasting were very sweet. Music was great. As a new small business owner it was wonderful to see another one with so much growth in such a small amount of time. My husband and I attended the first year and enjoyed it so much that we chose to purchase "Hang Five" 3-Day Passes for 2016. What this meant is that we would receive a unique swag bag, an exclusive private show prior to the official festival opening and for the entire festival we would have access to a reserved viewing platform, seperate restrooms, and a "Hang Five" VIP lounge (sponsored by JaM Cellars, featuring Butter Chardonnay). On our first day, we became aquainted with JaM Cellars indirectly, when we received a JaM "Butter" ball. These bright yellow beach balls will never be forgotten, as they were bounced and bopped across the festival grounds, on-stage and in the crowds. The performers engaged in the experience with their fans during their sets. Everyone had a ball with Butter! On our second day, we enjoyed time in the VIP "Butter" lounge. It was a hot day and we needed to charge our phones due to many photos being taken. The average drink price at the festival was $18 for cocktails or craft beer. However, at the Butter lounge, one could purchase a glass of Butter Chardonnay for $11, which not only was the best beverage I enjoyed at the festival, but it was also the best value! The lounge experience made the festival as smooth as Butter! Our final experience with Butter, involved being introduced to owners, John Anthony and Michelle by an individual who knew we had attended Kaaboo in the past and understood we were educated in wine. John and Michelle brought over a glass of their sparking brut "Toast". It is made in the Méthode Champenoise style. It was a wonderful to celebrate and toast the festival life with a refreshing beverage. John and Michelle shared their wine story and discussed other festivals they have sponsored, including BottleRock in Napa. The husband and I are making plans to attend BottleRock for our next music festival...because we really liked Jammin' with JaM Cellars! We called several places and were shot down. When we arrived at JaM, we were kindly greeted and sat down outside. Jordan took care of us from A to Z! We are so happy to have found this place. JaM Cellars is really a cool, hip place to gather with friends and share a bottle of wine. They have booths where you can be together, order food from Tarla next door, and laugh generously. We took advantage of a great Groupon offer that allowed us the opportunity to try a flight of their wine selections, which were all very ready to drink. We liked the Sparkling best of all, a delightful and inexpensive way to have an impromptu toast to someone's latest success! The Chardonnay is more than a little too buttery for my taste, but they don't make a secret of that.... it's called "Butter", and most of our group seemed to enjoy that. The Cabernet is a great to bring to a party in that it is generally likable for many people. What makes JaM a place to visit is the atmosphere, the coolness, the comfort, and their proximity to lots of downtown eateries. Tarla, the hip Mediterranean restaurant right next door, is an excellent place to eat, and will send over their menu items. Plus, it can all go on your JaM tab. The problem we experienced here, though, on a not-too-busy- afternoon, is that some of the foods don't make the journey from next door in a timely enough fashion to retain their quality. Remember...I love Tarla, but the Calamari arrived somehow overcooked and yet cold. Same thing for the zucchini cakes...so, the fried items... maybe more frequent fry oil changes would help, along with a way to communicate to JaM staff right when food is ready. On the good side, the Spanakopita was flaky, melty and delicious. The kale salad was bright and crisp and ample, with great flavors. The house made Baba Ghanoush was rich and flavorful with the perfect texture. The zucchini cakes had great potential, and were good on the inside. We really enjoyed the Mac 'n Cheese, ... fighting over the last bite. Overall, we had fun, good wine, some delicious foods, and great service! I had high hopes but was really disappointed. The taste just was not there. They were sweet but had no noticeable fruit or floral or fragrant notes that a lot of other whites/sweet wines have. We ended up having to chug most of them just to get rid of em.... The best one was the sugar sweet wine and the rest were not good. There was no flavor, no complexity. We went to ten or more wineries this weekend and this one was agreed to be the worst in terms of flavor amongst my group. I think ppl assume that sweet wine drinker would like this place because they specialize in it, but no I would not recommend this place for my light sweet wine drinkers. Go get the tour de blanc at Cline Cellars in Sonoma instead, those are noticeably more fragrant, better tasting, tasting was only $10 and gets waived with bottle purchase, and bottles are at great prices (~$20). I think the greatest appeal of this place is the music and atmosphere, which we did not get on the Saturday afternoon that we went, unfortunate. I liked the colorful decor and layout. I am an avid whites and sweet wine drinker so I was recommended to go to Jam by other tasting room hosts we went to that day. We had the 2 for 1 deal on the $30 tasting menu that included the toast sparkling, candy dry rose, butter chardonnay, something else, and ended with the sugar sweet wine. Good thing we got the second tasting for free, but it bit us in the ass when we had to chug a bunch of wine we didn't like. However, I do like that the owners incorporate sweet and buttery flavors to their wines, something that would usually get a lot of hate from someliers, respect. read more

JaM Cellars! This place was very hip and a little louder for a wine tasting establishment. However, if you are into loud music and at night a live band then this is your spot! The wine is primarily of the white or rosé variation and easy to drink. If you've ever been to the supermarket and spotted a wine with the words "Butter" on them, this is the winery that created those. I believe only a few reds for tasting so don't come if you are a heavy red drinker, but pleasant for whites! Love the atmosphere and the inside is very themed by music. Loved it! read more

I'm very disheartened to write this review. I love Butter Chardonnay and it's my husband favorite Chardonnay so we were very excited to try this place out. This is an awesome place with cool music but we received horrible service. I was staying at the Beazley Inn Bed and Breakfast so they gave us two for one tasting coupon to use. The guy said these are only good till 7pm. So that's fine even though our hotel said their wasn't a time limit. We bought a bottle of Chardonnay and enjoyed it at a self seating booth. The guy comes up to us and asked us do we mind sharing our booth. We replied we don't mind sharing. So he comes back to ask if we're gonna move to one side. We said we don't mind sharing but if the people can sit on the inside because we wanted to talk to each other and see the band. He rolled his eyes and walked away. We felt so unwanted there. We hurried up and drank our wine bottle. Then he looks at us through the window as we left. It was just so weird that he was more concerned about us moving to one side of the booth rather than trying to offer us some more wine to buy. other booths had only two people sitting there, he didn't ask them to move. why did he insist on asking us. I would give the tasting we had here a couple months ago 4/5 stars *based* on the fact that we got the tasting for half off with our Priority Wine Pass. I was happy that they were willing to let us share one half-off tasting even though the wine pass deal said "2 for 1" - and our server was certainly friendly. I would have been a lot less happy if we'd paid $25 instead of $12.50 for the tasting, though. The wines we tried included a pretty good chardonnay, a pretty good cab, a fairly mediocre rose (in my opinion - it was kinda flabby), a pretty good sparkling white blend, and one very delicious dessert moscato. For the most part I didn't think the wines were quite worth the price they were being sold for (especially since I've seen their chardonnay at Grocery Outlet!), but if you like dessert wines, the moscato was a steal at $20 for the bottle, so we bought a bottle of that one. read more
