    Dollar Cakes!
    Dana R.

We met a friend here for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning. The staff sat her almost right away and we joined her right away. Our waitress was very attentive and patience with us as we chatted before we ordered. My friend ordered the Breakfast Combo and enjoyed the entire dish. I ordered the Mediterranean omelet with french toast as a side. It was phenomenal and had a hearty amount of filling inside. My daughter got the dollar cakes and almost finished the entire plate. Overall it was a delightful breakfast place that we will be back to. Nice environment, clean, great service, great food. Thanks for a yummy breakfast!

You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.

Street parking may be hard to get but public parking lot nearby. Food was excellent, I had the foxtail paella, plump shrimp, mussels, sausage veggies and orzo instead of rice made it feel creamier, full portions. The "big wood" was a tasty whiskey drink, but the Negroni was a little too bitter. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree! Always a great time at Foxtail with great food and great service!

Our server was excellent--friendly, attentive, and handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, we had a very strange interaction with either the chef or the manager. My friend is a vegetarian and specifically asked for her omelette to be made without bacon. My mom ordered the same omelette with bacon. When the food arrived, my friend began eating her omelette before realizing it contained chunks of bacon. We politely asked if it could be remade. After the server took the plate back to the kitchen, the chef/manager came to our table. Instead of simply apologizing and remaking the dish, he appeared to question whether my friend was telling the truth about there being bacon in the omelette. He even brought the omelette back to the table and seemed to be trying to convince her to eat it, despite her explaining that she is a vegetarian. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. What was disappointing wasn't the mistake itself, but how it was handled. The interaction felt confrontational and dismissive, which made an otherwise enjoyable meal uncomfortable. We appreciate how well our server handled the situation, but we hope management addresses how dietary requests and customer concerns are treated in the future.

Came with fries and soup of the day. 2nd time here I ordered something else. Just plain average diner food. But ordered the steak again for my third time and was impressed once again. Kept coming back, if only for that one standout. Been here at least a dozen times, ordering the steak to go mostly (actually sat down with family twice). Sadly, subsequent steaks were not as consistent. Often, they are tough. Once, they forgot the jalapeños. But twice now, they've messed up my soup. I never tasted their minestrone, despite having ordered it twice (not counting a third time where it was eaten by a family member). Got cream of chicken rice both times. WTF is wrong with these people? Less than a mile from home, great service. They just don't know how to make steak or differentiate between soups (Hint: Minestrone is reddish-brown, cream of chicken rice is white). Really gave this place too many second chances based on my first 2 steak experiences (and a few other ones scattered in between the non-acceptables). Today, not only shoe-leather steak, but the wrong soup once again.

Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.
