"Fries" fried in dirty burnt oil
B R E N N A N H U F F.

I am not sure if I have had a worse meal than what I had at Jamrock. Everything was fried in dirty old burnt oil. You can see in the pictures just how dark and black it turned food in some places. The jerk chicken in their "wrap" (actually two tacos) was so over-smoked that the one bite I took was so awful, I literally spit it back out. Just a horrible overall experience. I will not be going back and I advise others to stay away as well.

White Jerk Chicken Dinner

I got the jerk chicken dinner and it's so good. Nice level of spice on the chicken, mashed potatoes are nicely seasoned and sweet potato were pretty perfect. I ordered thru uber eats and I got a call that they didn't have Mac and cheese which made me a lil sad but I'll definitely order again

My go to place for surprisingly ribs! Their platters are all good but one of my favorite things ever is the large rib tips which are over a bed of French fries. Fries are crispy, sauce is delicious, and ribs are tender. I also really love their cat dish dinner and beef patties! Definitely don't forget to pick one up as you check out.

Dining at JamRock in Naperville is a bit like taking a mini trip to Jamaica--without the airfare. The food? Mostly fabulous. The jerk chicken might occasionally seem like it's been sunbathing a tad too long, but overall, the flavors are a carnival for your taste buds, which keeps me coming back. Now, about the service--it's on 'Island time.' And I mean, you could place your order, watch a season of your favorite show, learn a new hobby, and maybe even run a marathon before your food is ready. I've found it's possible to place an order, take a shower, do a bit of a fashion show in your closet, and still, upon arrival, you'll need to remind them thrice what you ordered--and then wait an extra half hour. It's a vibe, for sure. In all seriousness, JamRock has the potential to be the crown jewel of Naperville's dining scene if the 'Island time' service could catch up with the mainland's pace. Their delightful dishes deserve a service that matches their excellence. With a bit of tweaking, I'm convinced they could outshine even the vast array of Jamaican restaurants in Chicago.

As good as it gets! Drove 30 mins to satisfy our craving for Jamaican jerk chicken. Located on an inconspicuous strip mall on IL 59 in Naperville. Almost miss the entrance if youre not paying attention. Mostly take out that we noticed while waiting for our own food. Mind you, this was our first time getting food from this place and while waiting, we got to talking to someone who drove all the way from Plainfield to order food. We got the Jerk chicken-mixed with rice, beans and a choice of cabbage or fresh salad. You cant go wrong with cabbage. Added an order for plaintains. Jerk chicken is as good as advertised (it was worth the wait). Rice and beans were good and the plaintains were great! Our waiting went by quick with conversations with other customers who were also waiting for their food. They have other items on their menu that we will try soon.

So I'm from FL and I know good Jamaican cuisine and it's sad to say this is NOT it. I'm here in town and wanted some "real" food. I should have looked closely at the pics and I would've known. The caramel cake and patty is SOLID AS A ROCK. The cabbage is over cooked the rice and peas are heavy as me and the huge portions of food is just really not appetizing and the chicken is big. I hate to talk like this but someone needs to know. I feel annoyed when I spend money for food and have to put it in the trash. Like who makes ribs and places fries under them and pour bbq sauce all over them and a lot of it. I mean yall be the judge I attached pics but there is nothing appetizing about this meal. This food rocks! Delicious and worth the (long) wait. I stopped in on a Thursday for lunch, and the place was busy with several patrons in the waiting/ordering area. Jam Rock is a small restaurant run by a Jamaican family, and all food is prepared to order. I placed the order by ringing a bell, and started with a 1/2 order of the Jerk Wings (excellent!), Chicken Curry with beans and rice (full of flavor!) and Jerk Catfish with Pickled Onions (spicy and sweet!). The food took about 35 minutes to prepare, so not a place to come when short on time. But if you are looking for authentic tastes of Jamaica, it is a must go!

Me and the bestie had our wacky Wednesday and wanted to try to something new. Bbq is our go to, so I suggested this place, although I never tried it before. We waited in a long line, and I ordered a jerk salad with corn bread and Mac and cheese. When it came her time to order, she just wanted the wings and of course they didn't have any, so she said nvm and went to her car. I waited about 30 mins inside the store for my salad. I didn't think a salad would had taken so long. Food was good when I finally did get it, however I prob won't come back- unless I have plenty of time to waste. They didn't even have a bathroom!

I ordered 4 jerk wings at 2.00 a wing. They were old and dry. I think they were from the day before.

Luckily, Lazy dog provided a great friendly atmosphere with friendly service and great vibes all around. We were personally big fans of the dog theme around the restaurant and especially the dogs chillin on the patio. Those furry friends even had a blast at this lovely establishment. We thought the food was above average but nothing special and we were very satisfied leaving with full stomaches. Giannas grilled cheese was perfectly cooked and thank god shes not lactose in tolerant. Aidans burger was slightly overwhelming and messy and eventually had to bring out the big guns with the cutting knife. Overall, great date destination and would recommend to anyone in the naperville area.

Such a great experience for kids! And so many options on the menu- lots of great lunch prices too…read more The kids menu is affordable and came with a main, a side, a drink and then a full activity booklet, 5 crayons, a dog headband and a full page of STICKERS. This was my 18 month olds dream restaurant experience! For the grown ups, so many choices we will have to come back but I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was tender and there was plenty of it. I really liked the honey mustard sauce as well. The fries are beer battered style and seasoned well, I am picky on fries but I loved them! It's a big place with lots of seating but I could see there being a wait if you go during peak times.

I got lucky and found the last space in the small adjacent lot shared with the hardware store. Downtown La Grange is crazy-busy no matter when, and you can forget street parking. My father uses a walker, and the restaurant was very accessible for him, which I appreciated. We thought about sitting outside, but it's not all that appealing as you basically are out on the sidewalk looking over parked cars and traffic. After we found a table inside the rustic-appointed space, I got into the short ordering line and chose the Papa Q Platter because I wanted us to be able to try a little of everything. Neither of us eats very much anymore, and the platter was more than generous. We brought home well over half of it. The pulled chicken and brisket were okay, as was the mac and cheese. The smoked turkey, baked beans, and pulled pork were all on point. The burnt ends were great, but the ribs were easily the highlight. They appeared to be back ribs, but they were meaty, smoky, tender without being mushy, and had an excellent bark. The sauces were fine, although I would have liked a sharper Eastern Carolina-style vinegar sauce, or something really hot and spicy. Overall, there were a few average items, but the better meat--especially those ribs--made it a very enjoyable lunch.

This is disappointing as this is the one time I didn't take any extras. Mashed potatoes and gravy - Why offer The option of extra gravy / gravy on the side? I think there was a 1/2 tablespoon in total of gravy. This has happened before. I asked your employee if there was extra gravy in the side and he smiled and said there was. The sliced brisket was all fat. This was extremely disappointing ~ I paid for a 1/2 pound of fat. Is this normal? I regret not taking a picture. I understand there could be some fat but this was a joke. Your sausage links have dramatically shrunk in size, to I just happened to receive a very small piece. The chicken wings were very good - only item in the order that' I enjoyed.
