    Jerk Wings

One love one love!!! Let's get together and feel alright!!! That's the song that popped into my head when I walked into this restaurant and smelled the vibrant aroma of Jamaican cuisine cooking! I placed my order over the phone, and I was greeted by warm and welcoming customer service upon my arrival. My order was ready upon walking in, and I checked out with ease. Now onto the deliciousness! I ordered a Small Jerk Wing platter, and I also grabbed a homemade pineapple ginger juice! When I got home I was so excited and ready to dig in! Upon opening the jerk wing platter I was delighted at how generous the restaurant was with the portions! I drizzled some pepper sauce over the food that I asked for on the side, and took my first bite into the wings and WOO LAWD!!! My eyes lit up like a Las Vegas slot machine!!! The jerk seasoning coupled with the grill char of the wings was enough to make me want to jump for joy! The sweetness of the plantains, coupled with the crunchy texture of the cabbage, as well as the delicious comfort of the rice and peas!!! This entree was so delicious that I could not help but finish it all in one sitting! I was so amazed at the food! The pineapple ginger juice was also freshly made and complimented the vibrant flavors of the food very well! I am honestly reliving the moments as I write this review! When you have delicious food like this, it makes you look forward to trying more food from the restaurant in the future. Check this place out! You are truly in for a treat! Cheers to good eats!

    Stew Chicken

One of my favorite spots to stop for lunch after I get my nails done. Usually there's a line but today it was just me. I had a lovely conversation with the cashier, who I believe is also one of the cooks & possibly an owner, about some of the menu items I wasn't familiar with. She schooled me on fish fritters, boiled dumplings with potatoes & yams, & fried fritters. I really enjoyed the exchange. For my meal, I got stewed chicken lunch special. I've had the curry chicken before so I know that's good. This was my first time trying the stewed chicken. In my mind, I'm trying to determine if I like it more than or equal to the curry chicken. Tough decision. You can't go wrong with either. In both cases, the delicious meat falls off the bone. I always get gravy over my rice & cabbage. It's delicious Jamaican food cooked by lovely Jamaicans.

Allegedly plain fried red snapper (with the chef's choice to add escovich which I scraped off and is on the side).

I am so irritated at this travesty of a Jamaican spot. First off I called and said I just wanted a piece of fried red snapper, some cabbage and instead of fried plantain (which were sweet), I asked for provision (which is usually boiled green banana and some root vegetables). I get there not long later to pick up my order, and the older lady opens the container and shows me fish with peppers and onions on the top. Before I even said anything she said she could remove the peppers if I didn't want them. Frankly, this was someone else's order that she passed off on me - because how do you just decide to give me escovich fish when I ordered on fried red snapper?? She proceeded to tell me she could remove the peppers and add brown stew sauce. How in the WORLD did she think I was NOT going to know that escovich has a tangy marinade that would not have been covered up by brown stew sauce. When I paid my food was $60 for the fish I ordered, an order of cabbage, one plain fried red snapper for my daughter (which is exactly what I ordered for myself - $17) and a quart of grape nut ice cream. Instead of replacing the fried plantain with just one green banana - which would be the logical thing to do for a customer, I happened to see the receipt as it was printing and I was charged for 2 green bananas - because she decided I needed two bananas instead of one - because it put more money in her pocket. So my fish order was $10 more than my daughter's plain fried and I called her back to ask why (because I paid extra for the "provision" so all that was left was cabbage. She said that's the price for the fish. So you mean to tell me that a side order or cabbage is $10??? She had the opportunity to provide me with all of the information when I called to ask. Perhaps she thought because of my non-Caribbean accent she could play me, On top of all of this, th fish wasn't fresh - it was dry and hard (which is probably why she threw the sauce on without m asking. She already knew. Ma'am! I am not the one. but trust that I will NEVER return to this travesty of a food establishment!!

    Curry Chicken lunch combo

I ordered each of the lunch specials. Food was very good and plentiful (lot of rice though). Beef and the chicken patty were dry. Loved the cabbage salad side. Very unique compared to most other places. Only issue is every time I've gone there)this was my 3rd time), the person plating the food was sort of a sourpuss (for lack of a better word). Not mean but friendly either. I just assume it's a Jamaican thing (sorry if I'm wrong). Anyway, I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

I went around 5pm on a weekday. I ordered a large jerk chicken dinner. My food was very dry. They only gave me 3 pieces of plantain.. did not enjoy my food

I would definitely recommend this place. The food here definitely hit the spot with a great food portion served. My personal opinion you can't put a price on amazing food

Half of the portion....I thought...still enough for a few meals.

However, let's get into this food. Both times, I have ordered the wings and tingz. I know I need to try something different next time :). My food was so good that I had to eat in silence. I didn't even have the energy to put on a show; I just needed a moment alone with my platter to savor every bite. I think the mac and cheese has the perfect consistency of creamy, crusted cheese and flavor. The wings are really good, too! You don't really need a sauce to pair them with; they are good on their own and super tasty. I hope the chef has a fantastic weekend; they deserve whatever they want for how good this food is. I hope this establishment receives all the love it deserves. I would definitely come here again, and I would bring my family in person for a family dinner. Next time, I will definitely try the Rasta pasta or some of their other dishes.

At heart, I'm a man that truly enjoy most Caribbean dishes ( oxtails, goat, curry/jerk chicken,…read moreroti, etc ) So, I set out on a quest to give a new Caribbean cuisine restaurant a shot at winning me over. That's when I bumped into Caribbean Dish... The name got me, yes it's basic, but the title was exactly what I was looking for. The restaurant is in a small unassuming parking lot... if you don't know it's there, you probably will miss it ( so glad I didn't !! ) The minute I walked in, I felt authentic family vibes ( something I look for when choosing my Caribbean locations ) The service was very friendly, and they cleared everything up when I wasn't sure if my particular craving could be fulfilled ( the combo I desired wasn't on their daily menu ) My sights were set on the oxtail and curry goat combo ( of course with rice & peas and veggies ! ) And when I say the goat was tender, and seasoned to perfection... while the oxtails had that juicy meatiness that will for sure keep me coming back. The rice & peas were cooked just right ( texture was on point ) and the veggies still had that freshness that brought everything else together. I love my Caribbean dishes saucy and not dry ( they get two thumbs up in that department ! ) Family vibes, cheerful greeting, and amazing food.... Caribbean Dish you just locked yourself in a loyal customer !!!!! Give them a shot and I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed !!!

Their HH runs Mon-Fri from 5-7 and include 5-7 cocktails, beer, and wine that they offer at $2ish off the regular price. We stuck with the cocktails and had their Blue Lagoons (which are essentially electric blue vodka lemonades) for $8ish. They were tasty and after 2 of them, we were definitely ready to party. Next time, I want to try the rum punch for $10 - though I noticed the rum punch was premade (vs being made fresh per order). Unfortunately, there are no food offers on the happy hour. The spot was very empty when we arrived, maybe around 5.30p - there was one other couple enjoying time at the bar. Outside of the 8-10 bar seats, they have some lounge level seating, as well as more standard 4-top tables. At the very front of the area, is a small stage where DJ's and karaoke specialists set up. The food was really good; I had the curry chicken plate for $16ish and my girlfriend had the shrimp rasta pasta for $19ish. The food was very flavorful and came out piping hot from the kitchen. I'd get the curry again, for sure. The environment and vibe was the most enjoyable part of my visit; the hip hop and top40's music gave the place a great energy (but wasn't so loud that you couldn't chat. The bartenders were energetic, lively, and friendly. There seemed to be alot of regular patrons who knew each other and the bartenders - that's a really good sign. The star of the show was karaoke which started around 8 (when the bar was getting much more crowded). The karaoke host was great; she kept the group energized and led some karaoke style games and activities that I hadn't seen before. We ended up stay out way longer than expected because we were having such a nice time. I look forward to my next happy hour at JCK. Pro tip: It looks like they have coordinated, promoted parties twice a month on Fridays. And on the other Fridays, they have the 'standard' karaoke nights. And now it all makes sense -- some time last year, Jamaican Country Kitchen expanded, and now they've got this place, DJ booth, dance floor, bar, lounge, restaurant, all in one. And I gotta say, it was a vibe. The staff was nice and I loved the decor and feel of the place. Bar was cozy and it was nice to be somewhere this late at night that still served authentic Caribbean food.
