One of my favorite Jamaican places in Maryland. It's found on the back side of the PG mall. Small restaurant but definitely big in taste!!!! Their patties are delicious, you can never go wrong. During regular business (not covid time) they have lunch specials. It's like $8-$10 for a whole bunch of food. Their regular menu prices aren't bad either jerk chicken is about $11-12 depending on if you get white or dark meat. All their entrees come with rice and pea, cabbage and plantains. I ordered a small jerk chicken and a large curry chicken. They have three sizes small, large, and x large. Their jerk chicken is very tasty and has tons of flavor. You have to e option of having the jerk sauce on the side or on the chicken. I always get it on the side because I like to dip my chicken and I like it on the rice. Their rice and peas alone have lots of flavor and can be eaten on its own. The curry chicken can use a little more spice. But overall was delicious as well. I will continue to go to this place no matter the distance.

Curry chicken. It wasn't so good. Mac and cheese and cabbage was.

Good service, decent food. Love the jerk chicken and Mac and cheese. I will be back. Get the jerk wings too with the sauce.

For dinner I had an oxtail platter to go. It's sides are cabbage, plantains, rice & peas. This Caribbean combo was so delicious! I recommend trying this place when in the area. The wait time from order to out the door service is 5-15mins for two platters, not bad.

This is my second time here and got the jerk chicken (5/5) small portion and the lady at the counter gave extra jerk sauce on top. The flavor was good and the chicken was very tender. The jerk seasons has some spice and sweetness to it.

Visited on a Saturday at about 1pm, the line was super long. I ordered the brown stew chicken & jerk wings. Love the jerk wings. This was my first time getting their brown stew chicken, I enjoyed it. Definitely recommend.

I would say definitely 3.5 stars. Kingston Arbor is tasty, and I'd go back if in the area, but I'm not necessarily craving it. The staff is super friendly. Only two tables, so plan for take-out (though I ate in because no one was in the place). My curry chicken was tender and flavorful, but the rice and peas and vegetables were just OK. Plantains were good, and I really liked the beef patty (it's one of the better ones). Jerk chicken is on my to-try list upon returning, as is their coco bread.

It was my first time there & I had a good experience. They have good portions & the food is pretty good. The young lady taking orders was friendly & patient and showed me all of my food before bagging them so I could double check. This place is close by, so I will def visit again~

Located in the back on PG mall , some of the best Jamaican food in the area. I ordered the king fish , and it came with cabbage and plantains. The fish was thick and meaty full of flavor , the plantains were amazing. The price was 17 dollars other items range between $8-$12 but it's most definitely worth it . They do have a few tables available for seating , but it mostly take out. If you are in the area and craving a little Jamaican flavor , this is your spot.

I came last year during a homecoming event for a party and that was fun. Had a beef patty. Parking isn't the most convenient. I had to park across the street. Stopped by for lunch today. I placed an online order and it was ready when I arrived. The server was not friendly at all! I was thinking well since the service isn't good, the food will be good. Not in this case. Service wasn't great and food wasn't good. Ordered the Di Yaddie (jerk chicken with cabbage, rice and peas). I even ordered extra jerk sauce on the side. Not spicy at all. The food didn't taste fresh. Sad! I really wanted to like this place. I know where to go next time for my jerk chicken fix. It certainly won't be here!

However, let's get into this food. Both times, I have ordered the wings and tingz. I know I need to try something different next time :). My food was so good that I had to eat in silence. I didn't even have the energy to put on a show; I just needed a moment alone with my platter to savor every bite. I think the mac and cheese has the perfect consistency of creamy, crusted cheese and flavor. The wings are really good, too! You don't really need a sauce to pair them with; they are good on their own and super tasty. I hope the chef has a fantastic weekend; they deserve whatever they want for how good this food is. I hope this establishment receives all the love it deserves. I would definitely come here again, and I would bring my family in person for a family dinner. Next time, I will definitely try the Rasta pasta or some of their other dishes.

It's something that's only available from 7:00-11:00am on weekends, and I'm usually sleeping in or just not ready to get out of the house that early. My family and I were leaving for NY early on a Saturday morning, and I had no choice but to be awake and ready. So before we took off, I took advantage! It was around 8:30am and I was the only one in the restaurant. But it smelled amazing in there and they were friendly and happy! I had glimpsed the menu online, and I was scanning their screens for it above the register, but they had their regular menu up. I was walked through the options, and even got to taste a few things. I got to try sa\da roti for the first time, and I was intrigued. It's very similar to pita bread, but after looking it up I learned of the subtle differences. I was able to put pumpkin, smoked herring, saltfish, or eggplant & potatoes in it. I got food for my parents as well, so I settled on quite a few things: -Sada roti w/ pumpkin -Sada roti w/ eggplant/potatoes -Bake & saltfish -3 aloo pies Everything... was... STELLAR. Their HH runs Mon-Fri from 5-7 and include 5-7 cocktails, beer, and wine that they offer at $2ish off the regular price. We stuck with the cocktails and had their Blue Lagoons (which are essentially electric blue vodka lemonades) for $8ish. They were tasty and after 2 of them, we were definitely ready to party. Next time, I want to try the rum punch for $10 - though I noticed the rum punch was premade (vs being made fresh per order). Unfortunately, there are no food offers on the happy hour. The spot was very empty when we arrived, maybe around 5.30p - there was one other couple enjoying time at the bar. Outside of the 8-10 bar seats, they have some lounge level seating, as well as more standard 4-top tables. At the very front of the area, is a small stage where DJ's and karaoke specialists set up. The food was really good; I had the curry chicken plate for $16ish and my girlfriend had the shrimp rasta pasta for $19ish. The food was very flavorful and came out piping hot from the kitchen. I'd get the curry again, for sure. The environment and vibe was the most enjoyable part of my visit; the hip hop and top40's music gave the place a great energy (but wasn't so loud that you couldn't chat. The bartenders were energetic, lively, and friendly. There seemed to be alot of regular patrons who knew each other and the bartenders - that's a really good sign. The star of the show was karaoke which started around 8 (when the bar was getting much more crowded). The karaoke host was great; she kept the group energized and led some karaoke style games and activities that I hadn't seen before. We ended up stay out way longer than expected because we were having such a nice time. I look forward to my next happy hour at JCK. Pro tip: It looks like they have coordinated, promoted parties twice a month on Fridays. And on the other Fridays, they have the 'standard' karaoke nights. By default it came with two pieces of oxtails but that was too much meat for me so I asked for just one piece and more veggies. My server was kind enough to do such modification for me. The oxtail was fork-tender, had lots of collagen, beefy, and had a distinct sourness. The pickled veggies (cucumber slaw & bell peppers) provided a different type of sourness and a hint of heat. Overall very good, though the flavors from the meat and veggies were so strong that I could not have a clear idea of the flavor of the coconut rice. Also, I wish there could be more jus because it went soooooo well with the rice! The second time was for dinner. Tried the Pepperpot, Crispy Kale and Hops. The Pepperpot was a stew of oxtails, cowheels and beef chucks. Very beefy and spicy, a little bit sour/tangy, and very earthy. The sauce was heavenly. It was served with a small bowl of coconut rice and 2 pieces of hops. The rice was a little bit sweet and salty. The hops were similar to dinner rolls, except that they were more dense and firmer.
