My church just catered our mothers Day luncheon with them, and the food was scrumptiouslicious (yes, that is a word and very accurate in this case, lol) We had curry goat with just enough heat for those who don't like it spicy; there was a scovitched fish fillet and jerk chicken with, of course, the faithful sides: rice and peas and cabbage, which were perfectly cooked to my taste, especially the cabbage... No gassy guest here!! My husband said they were friendly when he placed the order and very helpful in helping him figure out the quantities needed. You would think they would try to upsell him, but quite the opposite; the owner was honest and recommended less food in certain items. The place is allowing dine in I guess and the tables are separated. The menu is simple and authentic. I got the jerk chicken (4.5/5) small portion. It came with a side of plantains (4/5) and rice and cabbage (I didn't get it). Also the meal comes with jerk sauce. It was good but was definitely not enough for the meal. Make sure you get extra sauce. Coming to the chicken it was tender and cooked very well. But without the sauce it lacked flavor. So don't forget to ask for extra. Next time I might try other things on the menu. The staff are polite and friendly. read more

These people are full of deceit. I traveled the distance for a bowl of Saturday afternoon - Manish Water. I paid the ten bucks and got a bowl of plain goat soup instead. Not the Manish water (goat tripe soup) that the menu listed. I addressed this fact with the mgr./owner and he simply " blew me off" ! Would not give me the time of day . This is the same type of behavior that "mashed up" the entire island of Jamaica. Turn the place into a "hell hole" ! If I could get them to serve the jerk chicken in normal serving portions they'd get at least 4 stars as it was pretty darn tasty. Sadly, the chef decided to demonstrate his/her cleaver skills to disastrous effect. Each piece was riddled with the smallest, sharpest bone fragments you could imagine. I've just recently gotten into eating Jamaican food after a friend turned me onto it. That being said this is the second place I've ever tried it from. I always get the same thing when coming here, the Jerk Chicken. It is sooo delicious. The rice and the plantains that it comes with are perfect (I always thought I didn't like soft plantain until I tried theirs). You get a large portion which equates to the price so it doesn't feel like your overpaying for anything. I don't even want to try anything else because I'm addicted to the jerk chicken, however my mother says the curried chicken roti is also delicious. I really like this restaurant. It's very cute and clean. I think the measures they are taking during this covid pandemic is good they have hand sanitizing stations and a glass between you and the workers. I ordered the fish and Callaloo patties and they were delicious . I also ordered a specialty soursop drink which is also quite tasty. So if you are looking for dairy free or vegan options this is a great place to visit. The cashier was very nice and inviting. We decided to stop by the area. The restaurant was located in a busy shopping center so parking was limited. Upon entering the staff was friendly and took our order. We ordered a large oxtail and jerk chicken dinner. The oxtails were small, lacked meat and the sauce was tomato based which is uncommon to me. Very, very good kingfish meal. They really baked the flavor into the fish. The rice and peas and veggie mix had a tinge of spicy jerk flavor that really cleared my sinuses. I enjoyed eating the fish. A bit dry but flavorful. The pepper really brought out the flavor. Reminded me of African food. The best food I had all week. read more

OK. I haven't been impressed with Jamaican restaurants for over 20+ years. Catering to American taste when you are suppose to be authentic is a taste bud killer! This place is FANTASTIC! This is the real deal. I am so happy to find this place. I wish I never the woman's name who served me. Don't get the lack of a smile twisted. She was smiling with her heart. I ordered the escovitch fish meal with the escovitch on the side with an order of festival and a ginger beer! The ginger beer was the only highlight (because it's bottled). The food was so dry. Moving from Miami, it was hard to find authentic Jamaican restaurant in Md. But when I heard of Junction opening, I went for breakfast and was hooked. I even had them cater a birthday and graduation party. Everyone enjoyed the food, took the flyers and visited since then. The food is authentic and the curry goat is niceeeeee. Fry chicken! 8/10/18 went to this place to buy patties... when i went inside the resturant i saw the patties in the warmer they looked like they were from the day before.. but i gave them the benefit of the doubt and bought them anyway.. boy was i wrong... the patties tasted dry and there was burnt marks on them.... they tasted like they were microwave and then put in the warmer... absolutely disgusting for a jamaican resturant... dont waste your money here read more

Authentic food! I ordered Oxtail with rice and peas and it was like my mom or aunties had cooked for me. I was born there, and this is pretty much the best I've had outside of family. Beef patty was a bit dry, but coco bread was Perfect. Plantains too. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more
