So, I came to this spot for the very 1st time. I think they are located in a great place for their business. Good parking, the high school is literally a few minutes walk and obviously the traffic from Grand Ave. The spot itself seem to be the perfect size for their business. No room to sit but just enough space to see all their goods, order and get out... The service was great and very polite. I ordered a hot beef patty, a mild beef patty with American cheese, and a chicken patty. The hot beef patty tasted ok but I've had better. I was hoping for a bit for flavor maybe even a little more kick. I really enjoy a good patty with cheese so the mild one was my favorite. My auntie had the chicken patty and said it was good. The crust on the patties were NOT the greatest. I prefer the beef patties from George's Jamaican Bakery. There is a good deal of flavor in his hot/mild patties. Also the crust is right on point. However they do not offer to put cheese in the patties which is a bit disappointing. I believe they are also a little less expensive. I used to get my beef patty fix at golden crust but my boyfriend introduced me to Jamaican Flavors....and just like that.... Everything changed! Love the jerk chicken and the patties. The only reason I give 3 stars is because of the false advertisement in the jerk chicken patty sandwich. There is a picture showing that it is for $3.99 with cheese but if you try to order it that way, they tell you the price is higher if you actually want th cheese. I hate bait and switch. Came here with my friend who is from Jamaica because I was craving a good patties. When I was in Jamaica I tried multiple different types and was eager to have more. The place is only for takeout because they have no seating. The patties were so good and fresh. The staff was nice and efficient. Definitely a gem of a spot to go to for patties. I really wanted to give this place a better rating but after trying the veggie pattie I had to go with 2 stars, they got the two on account of the hot fresh patties I bought for my husband. Firstly if you are Jamaican or, if you've been to Jamaica you'll know that Tastee Patty, Juici Patty, Mothers and anywhere else that sells patties does NOT use this dry wholewheat crust that practically everywhere in NY uses, when they make soy or veggie patties. They use the same yellow flaky delicious crust that they use for all of their patties. If you look at the pic I posted you'll see that this is some dry wholewheat crust filled with bland cabbage, unpeeled carrots and two kernels of corn; no seasoning no callaloo no nothing. Their cocoa bread looked good. I may give them another shot to get it together, judging on the variety of patties they should be able to get all of them right. Do the right thing.... read more

These patties are always fresh and warm. Really beats going to Queens or Brooklyn for homemade patties.

The patties at this location are great. Very delicious and you can tell they are made with great quality products. This like all other Jamaican spots lacks customer service but that's to be expected. Order get your stuff and leave, this is definitely not a place where you could stand around having a friendly conversation with the employees. They're not very personable but they get the job done. All around I would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good fresh Patty however what annoys me about this location is that they are never open on the times they have listed. If you are not going to open until 12 p.m. just list your times as 12 p.m. as opposed to 10 a.m. making people waste their time waiting outside for you to open your doors I think it's very unprofessional but this is the only place in the area so I just have to deal with it. read more

When this bakery came to town (Baldwin NY) I was excited the food is great! For birthdays I have ordered cakes so on and so forth. But on March 20, 2017, I received the worst customer service ever and the sad mess is that it came from the manager and another coworker. I went inside to make an order and a purchase and as I stood there on the phone I noticed the manger just stared at me; she then ran in the back and called a tall light skin girl out (the coworker). They stared at me whispered things in each other's ear laughed at me and kept staring at me! I know this because I was the only person in there at the time. I got off of my phone because I was going to ask her if there was a problem but I stopped myself and decided to take a different route on things which was more appropriate. Instead I went up I paid for everything; at the time I did not know she was the manager! So I asked her who is the manger or supervisor of this establishment and she said "I am". When I tell you I was disappointed believe me! That she was the manger and she acted like that. How do they know that I was not going through something? Or who do they do this and not consider the fact that I am a paying customer? I am sincerely hurt by this Lord only knows what they said about me! But I will not be going back there ever again and I still have not received an apology from her or the other coworker after I called and complained she only stated "okay you have a nice day". Of course no action will be taken because she is the manager and I'm sure they would not give me the franchise owners information or tell him about this truthfully. Nice staff great food! Love their patties. Used to go to golden krust, then I discovered this place in queens and it changed my life. Fast forward to driving down grand one day lost and what do I see? A small peace of heaven in a parking lot. Got me a beef pattie with coco bread. Damn, it was soooooooo good. I never had coco bread but always wanted to try it. It was warm, soft, pillowy and buttery. Too bad I only got one to go.
