I don't know if I swallowed some. The way those blenders work I would guess I consumed small bits without knowing it. After bringing this to their attention and back and forth over email. On-site parking is limited throughout the day, but maybe not so much in the mornings. I'll admit... I love grabbing a Jamba smoothie every once in awhile. In fact, at one point in my life I was working so many hours Jamba smoothies kept me going. But after a number of customer service issues at Kapahulu Jamba, I had to write a review. Today we stopped in for a post workout smoothiand were greeted with a smile. The staff made our smoothies and then we waited.... And waited some more. Apparently the staff were running around looking for lids for the cups. Yes.... At 11 am on a Saturday they discovered they have completely run out of cup lids! And while they came to this realization we stood there and watched our smoothies melt away.... When they failed to find any lids we got an apology and an offer of a spoon to eat our now melted smoothies... What?! Really? That was the best solution they had? Never mind that they advertise a service to call in your order ahead of time.... Yet NEVER answer the phone. And when I say never, this is based on multiple tries on multiple occasions. And we usually arrive at the store to find multiple staff and no customers. But now they don't even have lids? Does no one check inventory? It seems like cup lids are essential to business. Bottom line... We ended up walking out with melted smoothies, no cup lids and no offer from staff to address the situation beyond saying sorry. At the very least they could have offered to remake the smoothies or offered a discount. I know the Kapahulu location is convenient, but we probably will not be coming back anytime soon! read more

Yelp 100 Challenge #1/100 I've never encountered an unpleasant experience at a Jamba Juice before and this one did not disappoint and lived up to its standards. I've been to this location a few times and the staff is always friendly. Here, a staff was kind enough to introduce their rewards program. A sucker for freebies, I immediately joined. Who doesn't like free Jamba? I've never had a problem finding parking here, however, the parking lot in the back is a bit tight and can fill up easily especially during peak hours. I should preface this by saying that I LOVE spirulina. At first I was pissed because the guy made my smoothie 3/4 of the way full. In fact all three of us had 16 ounce smoothies that were not full. Hit or miss.....but the drinks are always good and so is the food! Jamba Kapahulu is our usual location unless we're shopping at the mall. We normally order the same thing, whether it's cold busters, strawberry whirl, all fruit smoothies, oatmeal and acai bowls. The service on the other hand is a hit or miss. Sometimes the staff are great! Sometimes not. There's a couple of them that I normally see on Sunday's and they always get the order right and always say thank you. I wish I could remember their names! I must say, their curbside pick up is a hit with our fam mainly because we have the kids with us so getting out of the car can be a whole adventure in itself. I've only been to this location once, but received wonderful service from a helpful, friendly and warm staff that worked hard, turned orders around quick and maintained a clean store. What more can you ask for from a Jamba? Also impressive was the menu. Jamba juice is my go to for shakes. I always stop and pick up a peanut butter moo'd when in the mood for a little chocolate. I either have a friend go pick up for me or go myself. One of my other favorites is the Pina Colada drink it is perfect mixture of coconut and pineapple perfect for a beach day. I am glad that I was able to enjoy my matcha green tea blast smoothie and my blueberry scones too, which I get on a regularly basis each time I want my breakfast fix so I can get my day going. I am glad that I could sit inside and just relax and enjoy every moment of my smoothie and scones and the person who took my order was really good and I was able to use my kaukau coupon for 20% off my order, which is nice and it does help to save me money. I am also glad to say that they have indoor seating so that whoever wants to eat inside can do so..I am happy to say that this location has more seating options so people can be able to choose. I do love going to Jamba Juice when I can as well the other ones too. So this location is central to those that are coming from Waikiki as well as diamond head throughout kaimuki areas that want a quick fix for either breakfast or lunch. The customer service is always peppy & shares aloha. Regardless if there is a rush of customers or one individual in the shop, I have always had a pleasant experience. The area can get congested due to Starbucks & Jack in the Box next door with a small parking lot so an option is to phone your order in as you are 5 minutes away so u can pick it up, pay and run out. They are happy to pre-make and hold your drink in their refrigerator until you arrive. The staff is willing to accommodate your lack of time or your desire to visit in the shop as your enjoy refreshment; which by the way is always a controlled, perfect thickness. read more

What's more is that this location is open till nine, which is later than the other locations nearby. The parking situation is usually not a problem, but it can get crowded towards the evening time. Ok, let me preface this review with..we don't have Jamba Juice in FL. I wanted to pretend I was Britney Spears on the West Coast for a day. Okay, I guess that's just an island thing - not enough shipments or whatever. Ordered a smoothie, they were out of bananas. Okay...ordered a bowl...they were out of peanut butter. WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS JJ? At no point were they going to tell us what they were out of, or rather, tell us what they recommended and HAD available. More to the point, if you were out of that many items, and right next to a safeway mind you, I would be calling my district manager so fast trying to solve this situation. Is it really that difficult to go above and beyond for your customers? I ended up with a acai bowl, which was yummy. The granola is super crunchy and good. This 5 stars is in comparison to all other Jamba Juices, because this location (the Kapahulu location) is by far the best and always leaves me happy. The workers are so sincerely cheerful I almost believe they love their jobs, and they have the magic touch making smoothies and bowls.
