During our most recent trip to Oahu, Spider-Man- Brand New Day made its debut. My wife and I decided to take the kids to Kahala Mall to watch it. Before entering the theaters, we made a quick stop at Starbucks. This location was clean, organized and easy to visit. Really pleased with the great service and friendly staff. Baristas worked fast and efficiently, and made sure every drink was served in a timely manner. From start to finish, we were out of there within 5 to 10 minutes and on our way to watch our movie. My only gripe is that they serve drinks (hot or cold) in compostable fiber-based cups. They no longer use plastic cold drink cups! Why? Apparently, this change is due to local regulations and Starbucks' sustainability efforts. Which is kind of a bummer, because it takes away from the aesthetic of the drink in my opinion! read more

The baristas at this location are super helpful and fast! I'm always impressed at the efficiency but then again I'm not one to frequent Starbucks unless people give me gift cards (lol)... Upon my most recent run to use up my gift card to Starbucks I stumbled upon a Protein Matcha??? I mean why the hell not so I decided to try it. I used to drink a shiz ton of protein shakes in middle/high school ... (never again) but I couldn't tell if I was even tasting that or the matcha... So maybe it was a success in making it a matcha taste like protein ??? Or maybe the protein was flavored to taste like matcha ... Either way I would pass. Been to Starbucks all over the continental US and this one is the most busiest. Seating and tables are at a premium. Fortunate if you get one. The employees are always courteous and ready to serve. The baked goodies are a treat to go along with the coffee. My favorite is the Green Tea Frappucino. I've actually seen celebrities at this location on many occasions. Good times. read more

I stopped by with my daughter to get a morning beverage. She likes this location because they always get her orders correct and the location is convenient to shopping. The staff is attentive. We ordered on app to pick up. I got a passion fruit ice tea (0 calories) and she got a latte. We had a short wait as they were crowded. The drinks were perfect. There is outdoor patio seating and indoor mall seating. Parking is easy early in the morning, but impossible later in the day. read more

Although lately I have a confession I been ordering their Pistachios cold brew . If you like Pistachios you'll like their iced pistachios cold brew . Starbucks indoor... Leave it to Kahala to have two very different kinds of Starbucks though I do love the indoor and I've been going to this location for years and just can't believe I haven't done a review yet. One thing that I do love this location is their creative barista and staff as they do come up with exclusive menu items which does make it fun and easy as the internet versions aren't available at some locations so when they make it it does make it easier to order. Sadly the seating has changed to almost none though there are a few around the fountain area, Kahala is an indoor mall though seating here are scattered throughout the mall which doesn't make it a place to chill and get some work done but the staff here is fast and friendly so I usually stop by to grab some for the road. I came here with Nadine after dinner to get a drink. This is the Starbucks inside of Kahala Mall. I live in town, so I don't come to this location too often. However, Nadine and I wanted to get our bonus stars. We came about 7pm and there were a few people in here. I got my usual grande Iced green tea. There were two people ahead of me, so the drink came fast. They had a few table and seats. They didn't have a great selection of cups though. I've been going to this Starbucks for years. It tends to get very busy at times but the line moves fairly quickly. Getting your order takes longer. A few times they have made a mistake or possibly someone else took my order. The large majority of the times my order is accurate. The drinks are all good, especially the holiday ones. They are pricey but I don't think you'll get anything cheaper elsewhere, at least not with the same taste and quality. Also, use your reusable cups to get 10 cents off and 25 extra star points! I've been to a lot of Starbucks and this is one of my favorites. It's nice to sit in an air conditioned table or chair and relax with your drink inside the mall. If it's not hot or muggy, it is so much nicer outside. There are seats and umbrellas right outside of the Starbucks. And if you're lucky, they'll have live entertainment outside of Whole Foods! read more

VENTI NO ICE: Only stopped here because I have a gift card and they were doing $3 drinks for the week. Cashier was nice and told me to upgrade to a venti size from a grande since $3 was for any drink and size (this was not specified on the Starbucks app). To Whom It May Concern, we are writing to formally report a concerning experience at the Starbucks location inside Kahala Mall (Store #21001). During our visit, we overheard and observed employees talking negatively about certain customers behind the counter. More troubling, we witnessed instances where employees appeared unwilling to serve customers properly when specific drink requests were made. This behavior was surprising and concerning. Customers pay a significant amount for their drinks and absolutely deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. Everyone who orders should receive the drink they paid for and feel satisfied with their experience, regardless of the request they make--so long as it falls within company guidelines. We are especially concerned for other customers who may have been affected and may not have received the quality of service or product they deserved. This type of behavior does not reflect the standards Starbucks is known for. I'm a Gold Card member and enjoy the perks such as free tea and coffee refills, freebie on my birthday, double Stars every day, etc. The Star Rewards Program notified me that some of my Stars will be expiring at the end of the month. After working so hard for Stars (by completing various challenges), I didn't want my Stars to go to waste. Stars can be redeemed for food and beverages - as well as merchandise! For example: 400 Stars can be redeemed for $20 towards a mug or cup. If you're a cup collector, you know that certain Starbucks (like the ones inside Target, Safeway, and Macy's) will not redeem Stars for merchandise. The Starbucks at Kahala Mall is an independent store and can redeem Stars (points) for merchandise! It's perfect for gift giving! The mainland people like the Hawaii Starbucks cups! I got the "Aloha Vibes" tumbler for my Los Angeles friend's birthday! I'll see her next week! Yay! I did consider the Hawaii mug from the "Been There" series, but I don't really want to handcarry a ceramic cup... And I did think about the stainless steel tumbler from the "Been There" series... I would have to say this particular Starbucks Coffee shop inside of the Kahala Mall shopping center is probably my favorite, and "goto" spots when I Jonesing for Starbucks coffee. Located just next door to Jamba Juice, or may I say the same side as Whole Foods Market, this Starbucks coffee shop is quite spacious, with a lot of seating (during normal times). I'm a pretty simple guy as I'm not into those "fru-fru drinks", I just like a good cup of hot dark roast coffee! You know, the kinda coffee that is so strong that it puts hairs on your chest!!! :D I often find the Starbucks staff here at the Kahala Mall location to be pretty efficient, & friendly. I'm on the hunt for the best Starbucks in Hawaii! This Starbucks has a drive thru which is a big plus. The line is usually quite long but moves fast enough. The barista was very nice and my drink was pretty good too. I tried one of the seasonal drinks, I think it was called iced apple crisp macchiato and I subbed regular milk for coconut milk. I liked this Starbucks as the lady taking my order was super nice and made small conversation. I decided to order a grande salted caramel cold brew to end my afternoon at the mall. My order came out within five minutes. The amount of salted caramel was there and it tasted on point. There was enough foam on top that it literally sank in my drink in a few minutes. I like to shake up it myself as opposed to them preshaking the drink which I had at another location but wasn't good like that. The line definitely went quickly as there was a long line behind me. Getting in the holiday spirit, Kristine and I decided to spend the evening walking around Kahala Mall to see the tree, listen to local children perform, and enjoy dinner and shopping. It also overflows into the mall seating area, so there's plenty of places to enjoy your drink. On Wednesday, August 2 around 8:45pm, Starbucks introduced a Summer WinsDays discount by ordering a drink at 50% off. I had an unpleasant experience at this Starbucks which left me disappointed and taken advantage of due to my deafness. I asked the cashier if the tea was still 50% off. She responded yes, so I ordered a drink. Somehow she had a problem with the transaction and asked the barista to assist. Despite having informed the staff of my deafness, the female barista made no effort to provide proper communication assistance of the issue, however the cashier did the right thing by doing her job trying to resolve this issue. However the female barista was quick to take advantage of my situation as an opportunity to rush through. To add insult, the pricing of the drink was vague and misleading. Without a proper explanation or clear communication, I felt trapped into making a purchase that I later realized was far from satisfactory. This ordeal left me feeling frustrated, disrespected and manipulated. I believe it's essential for business to prioritize and respect all customers, regardless of their abilities. No one should ever be taken advantage of due to their unique circumstances, and it is disheartening to see her engage in such behavior. In conclusion, my recent experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that my review serves as a reminder that businesses should treat all customers with fairness and integrity, rather than taking advantage of their vulnerabilities. I strongly urge that she needs to reevaluate her practices and take steps to ensure that no other individual with a disability has to ensure such a demeaning encounter. read more
