I was having a really bad case of the Mondays on National Acai Day back in April, and I just wanted to treat myself to something. I had known about Jamba's National Acai Day promo for the prior three or so days, so I had kept it in the back of my mind to visit a Jamba after work to take advantage of their National Acai Day promo. What was their promo? $3 small acai smoothie or a $5 acai bowl from 3 to 7 PM, in store only. A small acai smoothie is normally $9 while a regular acai bowl is normally $14. Both good deals, but I would have preferred the acai bowl since for $2 more, I'd also get some additional toppings on top of the acai itself. There's a Jamba closer to me, but this location was kind of intriguing to me because of how small the parking lot is. They're located on the northwest corner of Bellflower and Willow, sharing walls with both Subway and Matrix Smoke Shop. No other businesses are located here, but the lot is small enough that if each employee brought their car here, I don't think there would be any parking available for paying customers! So be forewarned you may have to park in the neighborhood if you want to visit any of these three businesses. Anyways, I came in shortly before 6 PM, and I was quite astonished at how large and spacious this Jamba was in comparison to the locations in Lakewood and Cerritos, where parking is more plentiful. The employees seemed quite busy at preparing orders for a party of 4 or 5 that was already inside the shop upon my arrival. But it didn't take long for Marina (sp?) to assist me. And Marina was all smiles. After my case of the Mondays kind of Monday, plus some low expectations for Jamba in general, she really did what she could to brighten up my day. I had told her I was here for the National Acai Day promo, but I wasn't familiar with what acai bowls they offered. After I asked her, she mentioned the Acai Primo and the Acai Peanut Butter and Nutella. The Primo has a much more eclectic variety of fruits than the Peanut Butter and Nutella, which I wasn't sure would hold up well in the fridge overnight. It's just banana for the PB & Nutella, but the Primo would have both strawberries and blueberries as well. Marina was very helpful, even reciting each and every ingredient for each of the two bowls. My mind was not firing on cylinders that day. More like sputtering on both hemispheres that the only ingredient I remembered at the time was blueberries, and I simply told her I'd pick the one with blueberries lol. I also asked her if that particular bowl could hold up well in the fridge the next day, and she believed it could. Then, she asked me if I wanted a regular or a large. The email simply told me $5 for an acai bowl, and I was assuming it would be for a regular, so I had to ask how much for a large? It was only $2 more. I then asked how much larger the large was, and she pointed towards the example bowls on the other side of the front counter. A large is normally $17, so it'd make for even more savings than both the small smoothie and the regular bowl. It was hard for me to tell if the large was 40% larger than the regular, but I figured I'd go with the large knowing that I could save the leftovers for the next day as well as $10. Marina also asked if I had a rewards account, and I did, though since I barely go to Jamba these days, I almost forgot how to get to my QR code lol. She instructed me on the buttons to tap, and I got my points just like that. Really appreciate how helpful she was when I was struggling to remember how to navigate my way through the app lol. I asked Marina how long it'd take for them to prepare my bowl, and she estimated about 5 minutes. It was about 4 minutes before she called my name to let me know my order was ready. Initially, she only handed me a bowl and a spoon, but I wanted a bag since I was going to take it home to enjoy. No issues when I asked her for one; she placed my bowl and spoon in a Jamba bag, quite meticulously I must say, without any hesitation. The bowl was packed with so much that when I removed the lid, several blueberries and a piece of strawberry got stuck on the underside. The fruit as a whole tasted quite fresh; the acai flavor, on the other hand, was a little muted, but did its job of refreshing me after such a tough day of work. I came a second time to redeem a free small smoothie reward that wasn't redeemed properly at a different Long Beach location, and the female employee there was just as welcoming as well. I had the Acai Super-Antioxidant and enjoyed it so much that I may have found my new favorite flavor at Jamba! One of my Yelp friends said that was her favorite flavor too, a testament to how much I'd recommend it. Definitely two of the best juice shop employees I've encountered thus far that even though this location isn't closest to me, I may have to go out of my way to visit this location next time I'm craving Jamba. I think the employees are better trained here. read more

Clean and Tons of Seating!! I got the Orange Dream Machine. It came out very quickly, and it tasted amazing! It was thick but not so thick that it's difficult to drink out of a straw. The flavors in the smoothie were good, a perfect combination of citrus and creamy. The employees were so kind! I was ordering on the self-order kiosk, and despite ordering there, the employees told me that if I had any questions, I could ask them. The Jamba Juice was super big and clean. There's tons of seating and tables, and there's a self-order kiosk. I haven't seen those in any Jamba Juice locations so I was pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of parking so you should have no difficulty finding parking. The plaza just has Jamba Juice, Subway, and a Smoke Shop. I would come here again! These are amazing. My husband got the Nutella bowl and I got the chunky strawberry and added Nutella to it. Very, very good. I have gone back three times in a week and tried different ones. Place is nice inside very clean, if you have a headache, I suggest you not go in there because their music is so loud but it's good music. Customer service very good. Very pricey for what you get. Those two bowls were $32 and that was not even a large. The large is $18 each. Yummy. I walked into this location at 8:50 AM, and was told by the single staff person that she couldn't help anybody for 20 minutes or more because of a big order. so in essence if she's turned away over 20 people for one huge order. This is unacceptable because most people come in to Jamba Juice early morning before work, and the next nearest location is at the traffic circle which is out of the way. Please get it together Jamba juice and serve your customers a little bit better. Having only one staff member and when your location opens up at 7 am is unacceptable. I just went to this location, though they were opened and had two people who just placed an order, I was declined to place an order. I was told that they couldn't take my order. I guess they were backed up. However the manager could have given the choice to place the order and left it to me depending on the wait. It was very dismissive in my opinion and did not demonstrate proper customer service. I have never seen or experienced this type of service. I have been going here for years and the order is always right, the employees have always been friendly, and the service is quick. During new drink offering times, they have even offered to let me order the drink I was questionable about and if I don't like it they would make something else. I visited this location on a Tuesday morning (around 7am). The food and drinks were satisfying which is a norm for Jamba Juice. You should already know this is not your freshly blended to perfection smoothie store. However the food and drinks are not why I gave this location a 1 out of 5 stars. I'm torn writing this review. Two stars for Jamba Juica. At the front of the line was Mr. MP, who was super friendly, fast, efficient, and helpful! He took our order of 6 Jamba Juices and 3 shots of wheatgrass. MP was patient as the people in our group were slow to order. He was a PRO! Thanks, buddy! Our 6 juices came out pretty fast - within 5 minutes. However we waited 15+ minutes for the wheatgrass to be prepared. It appeared that a new employee was working the wheatgrass machine. It appeared that she didn't know how to work the machine. Her steps: 1. Pull out the wheatgrass from the bunch - STEMS AND ALL!!!! 2. Shove them in the machine. Didn't work, so added more wheatgrass. STEMS also. 3. Grab more wheatrass STEMS AND ALL! 4. Shove them in the machine. Turn on the machine. IT WORKS! 5. Manager notices that she is having problems, so she decided to train the new employee as we waited for our wheatgrass. 6. Employee grabs more whatgrass STEMS AND ALL! 7. Manager catches the error and asks her to use the knife to cut the grass. 8. Employee tries to put the wheatgrass in the machine. WAIT - WASH IT FIRST (yes, the first two bunches weren't washed before making the shot). 9. 5 minutes later the wheatgrass is done. 10. Then a discussion starts about how to cut orange slices. 11. 15 minutes later, my three shots of wheatgrass is done. SHM. Frustrated, as several other customers have put in their review. I like to get their Mango A Go Go,price is expensive for a smoothie now a days. It's about $6 bucks for a medium sized drink. You get a fair amount. The Smoothie was very watery this time around and I wish it had more ice in it rather than not having not that much ice in a smoothie that's supposed to be cold. They had a small burrito breakfast meal and it was half empty when I got it, it was also very poorly made. I was a bit disappointed since it was really not that great and expensive for the cost and the food inside of the menu. They should not even have this as a menu that's available for customers. Been coming to this location for years and always get the same items. Today I did my usual order and had the smoothie split but instead of giving me the whole order of smoothie in two small cups they split the small I ordered (I add extra yogurt and banana to the orange dream machine) into two kids cups. I expect that when I pay for extras to get the extras. Corey with the blue hair, I told you I wouldn't forget your name.. Don't walk in at 9:45pm and order a fruit smoothie, since they may have to put the machine back together. My kid loves this place, so I bring her here to help make the end of a bad day a little better, but we seemed to annoy Corey with the blue hair to such a degree, he's singing he hates his life, slamming stuff on the counter. I could have let it slide, but the shade being thrown was ridiculous. I worked in the restaurant biz. I get how much it sucks when someone strolls in after you get things cleaned up, that's the business tho, and here's the important part for YOU, Corey with the blue hair, that's how you stay on the clock, earning that money. WORST customer service. 95% of the time I walk in, I am just looked at until I walk to the counter to order. My grandma is 71. I like to call ahead on most occasions to be timely for her. This Jamba Juice NEVER answers their phone. & when I mean never, I mean I have called 10-15 times in a row, and they do not answer. HOWEVER, when I walk in the employees will be doing absolutely nothing and giggling amongst themselves. I just want to place my order on the phone. Very simple. It's ridiculous & maybe they should hire mature employees that actually WANT/DESERVE A JOB in this global pandemic. They treat you awful, but the smoothies are decent. I hate to write bad reviews but upon my arrival there training new staff I'm guessing and one of the female employees where yelling at him in front of customers. Kinda unpleasant I get that he's new but if your going to correct someone new don't yell at them in front of customers very awkward. And second the two female employees were very slow and my drink was just sitting there didn't even bother to call my name? Not sure what is happening here but you can sense the TENSION between co workers. Please do better shouldn't be much drama serving juices. read more
