    I scheduled my children's first dental appointments several months in advance and provided our…read moreinsurance information when the appointments were made. Our insurance recently changed, and the office called me the day before the appointment requesting the updated information. When they first called, I explained that I didn't have the new insurance information available at that moment but would call back later that day or the following morning to provide it. Despite that, I received another call later the same day asking for the same information, even though I had already committed to calling back. I called the office to provide the information and also expressed that I was frustrated by the repeated calls. My concern was never about the importance of having accurate insurance information--I completely understand that. I work in customer service myself, and I appreciate the need for accurate records. My frustration was simply that I had already told the office I would call back, yet I felt pressured before I had the opportunity to do so. Rather than acknowledging my concern, the office manager spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive and condescending. She even asked if I "always talk to my customers the way I was talking to her," despite the fact that I remained respectful throughout the conversation. I never raised my voice or spoke disrespectfully; I simply expressed my frustration with how the situation was handled. As a parent, first impressions matter when choosing healthcare providers for my children. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with little confidence in the office's approach to communication and customer service, so I chose to cancel our appointments and seek dental care elsewhere.
