This was the first time using this HVAC company. I called them based on the fact that they are not a large company, they're local, and still relatively new-ish (so my thought was they were still trying to be the best company they could be; earning a customer base and word-of-mouth business.) They were very responsive right out of the gate (messaged thru Yelp) and asking what I was needing in terms of service. I told them that I wanted my HVAC system checked and evaluated for the coming hot months ahead. They were on it and scheduled me quickly. The technician reached out to me early on the day they were scheduled to arrive and stated they were ahead of schedule and wanted to know if they could arrive earlier; that worked for me. The gentleman that arrive was attentive and listened to my summary of my system and what I was looking to have accomplished. Right away he asked to have me show him all the location of the compressor and related components (I have a decent working knowledge of AC and heating systems so he knew that I could fast forward thru a few question and answers that would probably been, par for the course, for the standard homeowner) and he got down to business. My system had a hard-start kit on it, an air scrubber and other items that made it a bit more complex than a standard AC system. He went thru it all and found a few issues that needed a decision from me. That's what I really enjoyed about this tech... he came to me to talked about my thoughts on the state of the system and two components that weren't working anymore. There was NO HARD SELL! God, is that refreshing... I was not spoken down to and we discussed all aspects of replacing parts, continuing maintenance and the like. Ultimately, I decided not to replace one of the parts (I'll budget that later) and did have the other one fixed/replaced. He showed me the parameters of the module and hooked it up to a multimeter and demonstrated that it was not longer functioning (also that the top had popped and there was soot viable; it had basically blown out.). He showed me the replacement part (he had on the truck... didn't have to wait) and put the same meter on it to show that it met the parameters. All good, it was installed, tested and done. The receptionist who scheduled my appointment was very pleasant and a technician was at my house within 2 days when I explained my furnace wasn't working and we had no heat. The technician was very nice and took the time to thoroughly look at my furnace and explain to me the problem, and said he would get back to me with an estimate the same day. But this is where the good service stopped. I heard nothing for days, so I called a week later and was told Jose the tech would get back to me. Nothing. I then placed another call a week later and was told the same thing. Silence. We had to ultimately get another company out here. I wouldn't bother with this company. The technician, Jose (I believe that was his name--I'm bad at names), did a great job cleaning the FAU and Compressor. Jose was very personable as well as professional in the performance of his job and he was very clean and respectful of my home. After he was done he told me about a subscription service they offered, which gives subscribers with emergencies priority ASAP-service within one hour and also discounts on services rendered. I signed up immediately and look forward to doing business with Jamison HVAC again. Our system is running great! P.S. Jamison replaced our entire HVAC system and we could not be happier with their service. Our house was built in the 50s and our system was outdated and in desperate need of a major upgrade. The HVAC was 30+ years old and at the end of its service lifespan. We had them move the furnace up into the attic, coordinate the asbestos removal, new ducting, new vents added throughout the house and relocated the condenser to a more convenient location on the other side of our house. We have already recommended Jamison to several friends and wish all service providers were as prompt, polite and professional. I highly recommend this company! My heater was blowing cold air so I search in Yelp for HVAC repair. They were the first to respond via text message and asked troubleshooting questions to help me rule out basic issues. They sent a tech Dan on-time. He wore a mask and covered his shoes when asked. Dan educated me on what type of heater and AC I have. He immediately noticed that Google Nest caused the issue as it was configured wrong. He said there is nothing wrong with my heater, except its past warranty and really old. What's refreshing about this experience is Dan's approach to providing solutions. I know sometime soon I'm due for a complete HVAC replacement and rather than selling me items on the spot, he provided me ample info on features what to look for, when is the best time to buy and also awareness of rebates available and lastly, ask for 3 bids. jamison lied about getting a 2000 tax credit for putting in a new unit...they failed to say if you dont have a tax deficit which retired people on a fixed income will always be in a deficit with as little as they get...this is false advertisement and not being up front when selling their units....so they rip you off 2000 a unit that wouldnt have paid for the same unit. I'm glad I contacted Jamison heating & cooling for my repair, Abel provided great service and quality work. He explained in detail what the issue was, turns out the capacitor was bad and showed what the clamp meter was reading and what it should read. Afterwards he took heat measurements to verify the AC was indeed blowing cold air. When asked about our refrigerant needing to be topped off and about maintenance service, He explained why we didn't need to refill the refrigerant, and why maintenance isn't necessary if we keep our fan unit clean and replace the filters consistently. He suggested if even after replacing the filter we still suffer from allergies, they can install a UV light system and he further explained how it works but never pushed for us to purchase it. Joseph did an amazing job fixing a leak in our A/C pump. He got it working very quickly. He gave excellent customer service and explained everything . It was one of the hottest days of the year. He recommended I sign up for a check up on our A/C twice a year and it is very reasonable. He also came back the next day and cleaned the motor, chemically cleaned the outside unit and the pump. Max and his team at Jamison Heating & Cooling went above and beyond in completing a new furnace installation at one of the properties we manage. We got a call from the tenants of the property right before Labor Day weekend to say the blower motor in the furnace went out which was causing the evaporative coil for the AC system to freeze over preventing the tenants from having cold air blowing into the house. When I called Jamison, Max was the person to answer and he was quick to get back to me on scheduling a technician out the next day. Once there, they quickly diagnosed the system that the blower motor was bad and the furnace itself was old and needed replacing. We gave the okay to replace the unit, and Max had his team scheduled to do that the very next day. After Jamison's technicians removed the old furnace from the closet stand, they called me to say the wood platform was rotting and needed to be replaced before the new system could be installed. On top of that, they noticed the existing evaporative coil was leaking and wasn't the right size for the system. Rather than waiting for the previous AC company we used to install the AC system and coil, Max offered to replace the coil while his team was out there so the tenants could enjoy the Labor Day weekend with cold air. The job was done within a few hours and the tenants called me personally to thank us for resolving the AC problem so quickly. For that, I have Max and Jamison to personally thank for being my hero and the tenants during one of the hotter weekends of the summer! I have been managing properties for over 13 years and I have never come across an HVAC company as professional, available, and knowledgeable as Jamison Heating & Cooling. They are now my go-to HVAC company as I will be using them any time we have HVAC problems that need repair or replacement fast! Ryan came to my house to provide an estimate and honestly I could tell he was very genuine. Within days we were scheduled to have our project start for the following week. Ryan showed up with his team of 5-6 guys and within 8 hours they were about 90 percent done. The next day, Jamison completed the project (in about half a day), and it we were up and running! After 30 years of not having central AC, what a difference! We had some scheduling issues with the finisher coming to complete the final touches given the Memorial Day holiday however the job is completely done and it looks awesome!
