I also appreciate that they push to turn off or silence phones. Unplugging is the way to go when visiting these types of facilities. Also, the massages were fantastic - I got the deep tissue massage and I felt like a new woman after. My boyfriend also felt the same way. I teased him after about him making noises when getting a massage lol. He very much enjoyed it as this was a birthday present for him! We will definitely be doing this as a ritual every 3 to 4 months! Note: the only issue I had was parking - extremely hard to find parking. We recommend that you come at least 1 hour before your appointment, not only because of the parking issue, it also gives you ample time to enjoy the extra amenities that I listed above which comes with every service you book for.

Review for Immersion Spa ‍…read more I absolutely loved this place, and to this day, I still miss it. When I lived in the Bay Area, I was a faithful and loyal customer at Immersion. It became one of my favorite self-care rituals. I would bring family and friends, and I went regularly--about once every quarter. It was something I always looked forward to. There is currently no Korean spa in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I live now, and the closest option is in Atlanta. So yes... boo-hoo. Nothing quite compares to this experience. What made Immersion special was the sense of freedom and relaxation the moment you walked through the door. The spa is thoughtfully organized, very clean, and beautifully maintained. You store your belongings in secure lockers, receive a waterproof wristband, and then the entire experience begins. I always arrived at least 90 minutes before my massage so I could fully enjoy the amenities. That extra time was part of the magic. My favorite features included: * The hot tub and invigorating cold plunge * The wet sauna and dry sauna * The gentle, calming warmth of the Himalayan salt room * Complimentary roasted tea and water * High-quality bath and shower products in the women's area * A peaceful, well-run environment with clear structure and cleanliness standards Everything felt intentional and relaxing. My go-to service was always the Fusion massage, which blends shiatsu and deep tissue techniques using organic coconut oil. The therapists were incredibly skilled and intuitive--they knew exactly how to work out tension and restore balance. Some of the best massages I've ever had were here. Over the years, prices have increased slightly--as they have everywhere. I remember paying around $100 before COVID, and later seeing it closer to $130. Even so, the value of the experience made it worth every dollar. I was there hook, line, and sinker. A few practical notes for future guests: * Parking is limited and shared with neighboring businesses (including Kumon), so timing matters * The spa has separate men's and women's areas * No outside shoes are allowed inside the spa * Clothing is optional in designated areas, which is standard for Korean spa culture * Plan to arrive early to fully enjoy the amenities before your service One service I personally never tried was the traditional Korean body scrub. I watched others experience it, and while many people love it, it looked a little too intense for my taste. That said, the massages and spa amenities are absolutely exceptional. If you're considering a membership, it's worth exploring. This is the kind of place that becomes part of your routine once you experience it. I still haven't found anything in the Southeast that truly matches the level of service, atmosphere, and overall experience of Immersion. I keep looking--but this one set the bar very high. Treat yourself. You deserve it.

Were friendly and were sure to use your preferred strength, but (how I would prefer it) they weren't chatting with me during the massage. They give you a little tea at the end as well. Very fair prices for the quality I thought. I will say that you must go into this massage knowing that the facility of Arisa is nothing special. It is in a strip mall like office building area. Inside they have it looking nice, but you can hear a little bit of noise from the nearby businesses at times.

I miss my Thai massage spot back in Orange County but I was very happy with this establishment!…read more I arrived about 5 minutes before my appointment and filled out my new client form which I was immediately impressed because they ask for your problem spots there and you circle it! I think that's so helpful. I was paired with Sonia and she was amazing! She made sure that the pressure was not too much a few times and that was nice. Working on my back, she could tell what needed to be focused on. Afterwards, I paid and then received a small cup of non caffeinated tea. Such a wonderful touch to the experience. My only feedback which I recognize not much can change about this is the rooms are in separated curtains, not doors/walls. So it makes it feel not 100% private with sounds and potential for someone to just peak through the curtains.

We were both able to get an appointment in an hour, and delighted to learn they're open until 10 every day! They accept walk-ins, but calling at least 30 minutes or an hour before is best. I had Leah for my 60 minute deep tissue massage and my friend had Lina. Leah walked on my back, used her elbows and hands. There's add on's such as hot rocks, aromatherapy and cupping to name a few if you're looking for a more tailored experience. I felt refreshed at the end, and all the tightness in my muscles went away from my gym lift session. This includes a facial massage also which you can opt out of if you want. My friend was equally satisfied, feeling loosened up and great also. The atmosphere has calming spa music playing and the rooms are dimly lit and very clean. Nothing fancy - just the bare essentials for a great massage. I may try the cupping and aromatherapy next time. Maybe I will try Swedish instead of deep tissue. W Spa is a more economical option for this affluent downtown area of Palo Alto. Get a massage then grab some lunch or dinner. We will definitely be back and so happy to see they're open late night and seven days a week!

It was almost like she learned what to do by watching a YouTube video instead of getting training at a school. I should have known when I saw the prices that this was too good to be true. I mistakenly thought because they are located in downtown Palo Alto with good reviews that it would be a hidden gem. Don't come here.
