I went here for the first time this morning, to get my co-workers donuts. I wanna say I was the first one in this morning, and the guy that help me was very nice with a big smile on his face at 5:30am lol, and he was very helpful, I paid $8.65 for a dozen which I'm not sure if that's good or not because I never buy donuts. I try the blueberry glaze donut and it was very tasty. Based off of the excellent customer service and the donut Quality I would say I would definitely come back! read more

I love how this place is near where I live and open at 4 AM for my late night, tired of studying, donut cravings. I went for the first time on a whim after going to the McDonald's nearby for breakfast (not one of my healthiest days). I ordered the apple fritter and plain buttermilk donut, both of which were huge and delicious. The woman working, who I assume to be Janny, was nice, friendly, and helpful despite the fact that it was 5 AM and I myself was about to collapse from exhaustion after a long day. I have been seeing these around work and have been fortunate enough to get one before they were gone on a couple of occasions. Today I wake up early because the kids are in town and get a dozen. My brother and I stopped by Jannys Donuts Saturday afternoon, not expecting much of a variety since it was later in the day. But my brother still wanted to see what selections they had available. I was just hoping there were still some glazed blueberry donuts left. The basic flavors were still there, crullers, apple fritters, chocolate long bars, sprinkled donuts, jelly donuts, and the non-glazed blueberry donuts but not the glazed blueberry donuts. I had mentioned to my brother how sad I was and to my surprise the staff working at the time heard our conversation and offered to glaze the blueberry donuts for us! It was so sweet of her to go out of her way to do the extra work. It was a small gesture but it made my day so much better! Definitely left a tip. This was the first place that came up when I google searched donuts, Irvine. Holy cow am I glad we came here for breakfast on Boxing day! The two ladies were very patient with my 5 kids as they ordered their kronuts and donuts. They checked to be sure we were happy with our food. Their coffee is much better than standard "we technically sell coffee" donut shop coffee. Just a heads up, their hot cocoa is lava hot. They were calm and patient when they were slammed shortly after arrived. We will be back next time we are in Irvine at breakfast time! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. before I started eating healthier I came here MULTIPLE times a week to pick up donuts for work or for their AMAZING jalapeno, ham and cheese croissant. the workers are extremely personable and build relationships with their customers. i believe it's a family that runs and works the shop. I came in on a Sunday morning expecting to taste the infamous cronuts, but was disappointed to find that they are only served Monday-Sat. Still, I decided to try one of their raspberry filled glazed donut. It was delicious. The donut was light and fluffy with just the right amount of glaze. I took off a star b/c the raspberry was just sitting in one spot in the donut. So once you reach that spot, it all spews out and is waaayyy too much for one bite. $9.75 for a dozen donuts. I bring it to work once a week and it gets polished off in no time. Large and fluffy donuts at a great price. Like others have said get their early for a better selection. I don't think they keep making the donuts throughout the day, or at least not hourly or anything. Got there at 10am one time and wasn't much of a selection but that's my fault for coming so late to a donut shop, smokie took all the good ones already. Mag's is closed right now, so a chance to try some other doughnut shops. I will not bother with Janny's again. The doughnuts are very bland. They are so flavorless that they all taste the same. For example, the apple fritter was not crispy but doughy with no cinnamon flavor and no apple chunks. My family and I enjoyed our visit here today. I had the chorizo and egg croissant. It was good and I would order it again. I also shared a cronut that was filled with Bavarian cream. This was also a nice treat. My wife ordered a jalapeno and cheese bagel and she let me have a bite. It was one of the best bagels I ever had. The lady behind the counter was very nice and pleasant. I was in the area with my daughter who hadn't eaten breakfast yet so we made an impromptu visit. Came in and told them my daughter has a peanut allergy and they went out of their way to freshly frost her donut to address my concern. They did this all with a friendly smile.
