Rubina, the owner being so sweet, kind, nice, and helpful helped me to choose variety of cupcakes for my friend, and also helped me to decide what my cravings were.? I went with like 6 cupcakes of different kind, and they looked AMAZING!! Got Chocolate cupcake, berry cupcake with light frosting on top, & Red Velvet Cupcake for me and my son to share. Their cupcakes are seriously addicting, in the most dangerous way!:-) They are light, fresh, yummy, and full of flavor w/out being too sweet. Simply irresistible. They have a clean shop, cute, quaint, and welcoming. They only make cupcakes. No other types of goodies. Just letting you guys know. They do deliveries and small catering for your occasions. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.

Well, yesterday was Friday & no mini Eclairs. Time of my arrival was 8:40AM--7/17/26. Esther told me they get them in after 11AM. Not true. I went back just to check and still no mini Eclairs. So Ester, the manager was lying. They also have cakes, cookies, their Alligator tart that has a lot of nuts. Variety of cold and hot drinks: Coffee, Latte, Espresso and more. Plenty of parking spaces. The bakery was very clean and had maybe 2 other employees working there. Expensive, but very yummy. They also sell bread. Freshly baked. I contacted the baker about a Blippi and Meekah-themed 6-inch cake. The quote was $145 for the cake plus $25 for an edible image, for a $170 total before the amount later identified as tax. Free pickup was offered. I was dealing with several important things at the time and did not respond to the initial quote immediately, but I prepared my confirmation on September 12, the date given to decide and contacted the baker on September 13 to confirm the order. She accepted the order and provided payment instructions. I do not use Zelle or Venmo, but I have Cash App and was prepared to either pay cash in full in person or the deposit that way. Before sending the deposit, I asked one simple question: why was the total $186.63, including $16.63 in tax, when the quoted cake and edible image totaled $170? I was simply asking for clarification before paying. I asked because my understanding of California Department of Tax and Fee Administration guidance is that a whole cake sold to go is generally not subject to sales tax. I wanted to understand the basis for the additional charge before making my payment. I was not refusing to pay; I was asking for clarification. Instead of answering the question, the baker abruptly canceled my order. I attempted to call to discuss it directly, but was sent to her voicemail mailbox which was full and I could not leave a message. Afterward, she explained that she had become uneasy about the order and said she was canceling for the best. ‍ She also characterized my statement that I would accurately review my experience on Yelp as a threat of a bad review, which is not something I would do. I would never threaten anyone. I was explaining that I would give an honest account of my actual customer experience which is what Yelp is all about. What disappointed me most was that the order had been accepted and confirmed, yet asking a question about a charge resulted in the order being canceled rather than the charge being explained. I am a disabled grandmother and was trying to arrange a special birthday cake for my granddaughter's party. I would have preferred a simple answer to my question and a completed order. Based on my experience, I would not order from this business again. but instead I will go to back ordering from Nothin Bundt or Susies Cakes and just order the toppers online, that way I know what I am getting with no hidden fees.

All I needed and was craving for was 4 of their fresh, delicious Ponchiks. They were nice enough to give me an extra one--free of charge. The smell of those Ponchiks transported me back to Armenia. I asked a few questions and then I orderd the custard ponchik which she said would be ready in 15 min. While I waited I browsed the shop and I got a few other things I wanted to try such as the yogurt soda, more from curiosity than from a craving. I also picked up a box of Nazook. My Ponchik was ready quickly and I was able to use tap and pay and then I went on with my morning. I couldn't help it I started to eat my Ponchik on the drive, it was so fresh and piping hot, so fluffy, and the custard so thick and delicious. I am definitely a fan! I LOVE custard filled things and these Ponchiks are my new obsession!

I ordered a two-tiered cake from Jaqki for a 1920s-meet-the-1980s eras themed birthday, and it was absolutely stunning. It was simple yet elegant with gold details. This cake's look matched the theme well. The cake tasted just as incredible -- moist, rich, and perfectly balanced. For this occasion, I chose chocolate marble cake with fudge for one layer and chocolate marble cake with mocha for the other. Sometimes it is difficult to decide which flavors to choose since all taste so delectable. Jaqki was as usual professional, creative, and attentive throughout the process. We've known Jaqki for several decades now. She made our wedding cake and one of our wedding anniversary cakes. She's our go to cake baker for special occasions knowing that she is an expert in the business. We get along well with Jaqki--friendly, reliable and easy to deal with. There is so much to catch up on because we only get to see her for special milestone occasions. She has also done so many cakes for friends and family--weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, among others, through all these years. She is prompt in delivering the cake. We totally wasted two and a half hours of our Saturday with our appt with Jaqki. Maybe she had a bad day, but there was no reason for Jaqki to be as rude and uncooperative as she was with us. She basically said all our ideas were bad and would not work with us on a modified designed cake, (nothing crazy). I asked her if I could design a cake and email her the picture and she said, " no.... I dont have time to check email." I said, " so you want us to drive an hour, one way, to give you a picture of what we want?", she said ,"yes, I dont have time to check email". I would definitely not recommend Jaqki's Cake to anyone unless you like to be disrespected and have time to waste. read more

ON ANOTHER LEVEL AMAZING!! I had Jaqki make a cake for my friends Paris themed bridal shower! The cake came out FANTASTIC! It was the talk of the party! The cake was EXACTLY like the picture with the minor changes we had discussed. I wish she could've done the cake in buttercream frosting and not fondant but everywhere I called said it couldn't be done. I'm from Texas we always use soft frosting so I know it can be done so I guess fondant is a Cali thing. The cake came out beautiful nonetheless. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it & tastes fantastic. read more

My Best friend just had her wedding and at the wedding they had one of Jaqki's Beautiful cake creation. It was such an amazing Cake. It was a chocolate Marble cake with fresh chocolate butter cream on the outside. On the top of the cake there was fresh red roses and at the bottom of the cake there was a black bow tie which was edible! A worker at the store or the owner came and harassed me today and repeatedly told me I can't park on a public street. She claims she left me 3 notes, but I have never met this woman. She then told me to "go back where I came from." Do not use this business, as a racist older woman runs it. If the worker is racist, then she clearly practices racism in her business. read more

Jaqkis was a very difficult person to deal with. She was rude to us and didnt want to listen to our requests. I will never understand how she was recommended by our wedding venue. We gave her a week's notice. And we picked our cake the day prior to our wedding ceremony at the Chevy Chase country and they refrigerated onsite. And we were set! All the other price quotes on Zola were hundreds of $$ inflated, and people were demanding. Her cake shop is a cute lil shop front, located in a cozy lil strip mall. Ya gotta pay attention when driving or ya might miss it! Best of all she gave us 12 mini cupcakes as a thank you. How SWEET is that! Maybe we'll have some spooky themed ones, in time for Halloween. All my guests loved how my cake looked and tasted. We chose Ruben's special and the chocolate raspberry cake. All of their cakes are so good, it was so hard to choose 2 flavors. I had tasted one of Betty's cakes at a family member's wedding and quickly found her on instagram and started following her. When our turn came to make a decision for our wedding cake, I knew there was only one way to go. Betty was really easy to work with and figured out right away how to balance both of our requirements by proposing the perfect flavors for both of us. My wife doesn't like chocolate and yes I married her despite this one sacrilegious flaw - it's her only one and it works to my benefit as I get to keep all the chocolates we receive to myself. Betty made us a four tier cake with two flavors: white cake with salted caramel Swiss meringue buttercream (for my non-chocoholic wife) and toasted hazelnut white cake with Nutella mousse filling - absolutely delicious. Betty wrapped the bottom tier in an incredible marbled fondant with the three other tiers all inspirations she proposed and got from our wedding invitation. The final touches were these beautiful edible wafer paper flowers ornating our perfect cake. Let's just say there was no cake left at our wedding. Some went for seconds right after they finished their first slice. The guests that tried both flavors were raving, those that only got one flavor were trying to find the other, and unfortunately some got neither.
