My little brother introduced us to this gem a couple years ago and we have been hooked! Who knew this small little shop can create such oooi goodness?! Jarams has by far the BEST Donuts/Cronuts in Dallas! The Cronuts are sooooo good and rich in taste and I love how they always have cute character themed donuts available for special events going on. This is a place to visit! I am only shocked it hasn't been discovered & on food tv networks & didn't have a line out the door! There is a croissant thing with sausage braided in it. Omg! Yay! Finally came here for the 'cronut'. Last time I was in NYC, i did NOT want to wait at 4am for Dominique Ansel's cronut. Sooo, this is the first 'cronut' I've had, and I thought it was so good. It was light and airy like a donut, but also had flaky layers like a croissant. It also had a light crunch to the outside like a croissant. I had the nutella and fresh strawberries on top which was so yummy. The whole thing was dusted with powdered sugar. I'd definitely recommend anyone to try it. I ate almost the whole thing (and its huge), but I wasn't super full or overly sugar-ed out since its so light. I didn't try their regular donuts but they looked good. Will be back! read more

Great tasting donuts, no doubt about that. But the price is astronomical. 4 donuts, 1 kolache, a milk and a monster for $24 and change. It was basically $20 for 4 donuts and a kolache . I went here for the first time the other day and was not impressed. I asked for a simple pigs in a blanket with cheese and mine did not have cheese... or flavor. The smore's donut was bland and dry... not to mention this place is EXPENSIVE. 2 pigs in a blanket, 1 bear claw, 1 chocolate milk and 1 smores = almost TEN dollars! They do have regular blueberry either. The bear claw however was very good once I took it to the office and heated it up because it did not come warm. read more

We visited Jarams' as we were in Dallas for a video marketing conference. It was pretty good! My girlfriend LOVED her donut. It was a glazed donut with a cream cheese frosting and berries on top. She said, "the donut was like angels dancing in my mouth". I guess she liked it :-p I had the PBJ cronut. It was OK, but I loved my gf's donut more. Definitely not a wasted trip! Cronuts for you, cronuts for you and cronuts for you! Jarams is known as the go-to cronut place in Dallas. Is this going to be the exact same thing as what you'll find in New York or some other big city on one of the coasts. But it'll be a pretty damn close sister. Jarams doesn't have just cronuts - they also have regular donuts, funnel cake donuts, maple bacon donuts, gummy bear donuts, and so on. They don't seem like one of the fancy gourmet donut places you'll see scattered across town but they sure as hell have donuts that taste and look like them. The donuts here are a smidgen more expensive than what you would find at your run of the mill donut shop but then again, you get a goddamn cronut and a good one at that. read more

I visited Jaram's on a Monday morning around 10AM on December 2014. I was excited to try their version of the "cronut" and boy was I not disappointed! I ordered a dozen of donuts (specialty and regular) and spent approximately ~$30. I did think it was a bit pricey, but it was super tasty. I definitely liked the variety of special donuts they had available because I wanted to try something different compared to Hypnotic donuts. I have been to Hypnotic several times in the past and usually the line is very long and I felt rushed to place my order. I felt guilty for basically cleaning them out because I came so late and there were not a lot of options left after I left with my dozen. There were about 4 people after me and the pickings were slim. I think Hypnotic does a better job in keeping donuts coming out whereas Jaram's in family owned and it was a mother and daughter working so I think they only make batches in the early morning and stop making donuts after a certain time. I bought maple bacon, strawberry cream cronut, crème brulee, strawberry with chocolate sugar cronut, chocolate cronut, cookie butter sugar donut(?), jelly-filled heart shaped donut (that is customizable), plain glaze and plain chocolate. I thought it was a nice touch that they allowed the customer to choose the filling for the heart shaped donut (raspberry or regular cream). My favorite was the strawberry cronut, cookie butter one, and crème brulee one. I shared the rest with my siblings and cousins so I had no idea how it all tasted. Everyone did love it though! I would definitely come back again, but I despise getting up early...unless it's for good food/dessert, which in this case IS darn good. One donut did go bad because I didn't eat it within 2 days, which is my fault. I need advice on how to preserve a donut after 48 hours! read more

I have never been a huge donut fan, but Jaram's has turned me into one! Hands down, the best donuts in DFW. Completely worth blowing your macros and cheating on your diet with these. I placed a large order of 3 dozen specialty donuts and 1 dozen kolaches to give as a 'thank you' for the teachers at my son's school. I emailed Jaram's on a Wednesday to see if they could do an order for Friday morning. I got pretty much an immediate response back. Blair was so incredibly helpful and even confirmed with me via phone and through texts about my order which I greatly appreciated. On the morning for pick-up, she showed me all the donuts before she closed the boxes and helped me carry them to the car. They even threw in 6 croissant jelly rolls at no charge, which was such a sweet gesture. Every teacher raved about how amazing the donuts were! They made everyone's day! A million thank you's for such a wonderful donut shop with great customer service. I'd place another donut order in a heartbeat. And...now I want a cronut. read more

You definitely want to get here early for the good stuff, as they tend to run out around the time they close (which is noon - boooooo!!!!). Great donuts but they do not know how to run an efficient business. Pre-ordered and prepaid few days in advance and had a pick up time set. However upon arrival, worker told me to stand in a line behind 6 people because she couldn't just hand me my order. My order should've been bagged and ready given that I arrived 12 mins after my designated pick up time. I should be able to pick up and leave and it only take a few minutes. They also took several minutes to find my order. After questioning me on whether I actually placed an order and had the right place, I showed them 2 different confirmations. They finally found my order that had my name on it like I had stated from the beginning. Lastly, when I got home, my order was incorrect. Sadly they are disorganized and this leaves a bad experience for their customers. read more

Best cronuts I've had yet. Very fresh and variety is good! I bought for co workers and they all approved, when in the past I've brought donuts and many were left uneaten... but Jarams were all gone. The store looks like your run of the mill donut place, but the taste and quality stand above the rest. After searching for a Dallas place that offers cronuts, found Jarams on Yelp and decided to check it out. We went fairly late & was afraid they'd already run out of the popular flavors. But they still had a decent selection. We bought Nutella, pb&j cronuts, fig butter funnel cake, creme brulee, s'more donuts, and a kolache. Everything was nice (my fave s'mores), cronuts did not disappoint and flavors were well represented. They don't skimp out on toppings, the generosity is reflected in pricing but I personally don't mind paying a couple $s more for quality. Lady who assisted us was courteous and the place was snug yet clean. I did find everything to be a smidge sweet and heavy for my taste & I don't like powdered donuts but unfortunately all cronuts were powdered on bottom. I didn't try kolache but was told it was good but bread a little doughy. I think we'll head back for another try but get there super early because donuts felt a bit greasy, tummy still aching, bet fresh donuts will be better! read more

wow is all i have to say. i've been to dozens of local donut shops and this is the best by donut shop by far, the BEST! now, sadly to say when I was in NYC I wasn't able to try the cronut b/c duh it was sold out. But we went here and tried it and OMG it was fabulous, sincerely fabulous. I had their plain cronut and Geoff had their chocolate cronut and both were amazing. Even their plain donuts and cake donuts were definitely better than the other places I haven't tried their other kooky flavors but the next time I'm there I definitely will. Plus service here is great and they put the bigger donuts in a clear box rather than cramming everything in a bag. I'm so glad I'm moving closer to this place very soon! read more

I had to go into the office on a Saturday a was craving something sweet for breakfast. So I took to yelp and this little sweet jewel popped up! First let me say I was expecting some hipster type looking place but no, it's the cute little family owned donut shop with the simple Donut signage. After reading about how great their Cronut was I decided I had to have one! All the hype is true! I chose the lemon glaze and wow it's was really yummy, the bread part was perfect, light delicate crispy layers and the inside of each layer was moist and not greasy or too sweet. The only negative I have was I wish the lemon glaze was a little thiner and maybe drizzled over the top instead of the thick gel type of filling that is piped on the top, that being said I would order it again with not topping. The traditional donuts are PERFECT. Light and again not too sweet a perfect base for all the fancy toppings. Also ordered the ferro Roche candy topped donut and a coconut topped donut. Both rocked and made my going into the office on a Saturday totally worth it! You will have sticker shock but again they are worth it. I agree with others that say they don't hold for more than 4 hours. This is a fresh product that's meant to be eaten immediately. My office has several occasions of catered breakfast and I will be talking to our receptionist to get this place in the rotation! read more

I'm probably not the most reliable source for a donut review, because I love all donuts. Seriously, all of them. Because 1) they're freakin' donuts, like fried balls of dough with sugar and icing, and 2) how can anyone ever mess up a donut because, see above to reason number 1. I've never had a bad donut really, from chain shops, to mom and pop, to trendy "artisan" type donut shops. Jaram's was a combination of a mom and pop shop that made creative donuts, and I found it delicious as all the rest! My favorite is their creme brûlée donut, ring shaped but surprise, there is actually custard inside! It is the perfect ratio of dough to custard. They are also known for their cronuts, which were soft and flaky. The only thing is the price--roughly $25 for half a dozen donuts. A little on the steep end, but I guess it's not totally unreasonable given the extra love and effort that must go into making these babies! read more
