JC in Cedar Park is back in my rotation of Aus-TexMex. I have been gone for awhile but it has remained popular with my kids and their friends. We went back recently and it's not as covered up busy as it used to be and the menu was revamped. My go to Jardin Coronas dish that is a nice twist on a classic is the enchiladas Rojas topped by a fried egg. I'm hooked.Need a perfect hangover remedy on a late Saturday morning ?Try this dish topped by their excellent salsa and accompanied by Jardin Corona's well executed version of a Michelada. JCs does a great version of chicken enchiladas Blancas according to my lady and the sides are all top notch. We'll be back. read more

Great hole in the wall Mexican restaurant! Queso and salsa are both outstanding. While there Dinner and lunch are both delicious the real hidden jem is their weekend breakfast! It's only Saturday and Sunday mornings but get yourself a Super Jardin omlet with queso on top and you will not be disappointed! read more

I've about had enough. We've been ordering to-go from Jardin probably once a month since COVID started. Before that, we were frequent dine-in customers. There is some lady that answers the phone that seriously needs to pay attention to what she's doing. Every single time she's taken our order, something is messed up. Tonight we got chicken fajitas, instead of the beef ones that I explicitly ordered (I said BEEF twice because I recognized her voice). In addition, she is surly, rushed, and just generally rude, with an attitude that she's doing you a favor by answering the phone. Y'all need to do something about her. If you're looking for a simple place that has some great food, then this is the place. I'm not going to knock off a star because the waiter could have been a bit better yet he was still ok, or some other little thing because the chips were warm and fresh, the salsa was great, the food was plentiful and came out quickly, AND my oh my was it GOOD! My wife got a chicken enchilada and I got the vegetarian version with the green sauce. We were both very impressed. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Good chips, good salsa... and that's about it from what I can tell. Veggie fajitas were drenched in oil and flavorless!! Cheese enchiladas were soggy and had a rather bland chipotle sauce. Black beans were tasty.. I'd say when looking for great Tex-Mex don't stop here. read more

There really are no words to describe how much I love this place. My family moved up here in 2005 and we've been eating here ever since. We love everything on the menu and we grew up with this place. BEST MEXICAN MARTINIS !!!!! I have tried several places when it comes to a true mexican martini and these guys have the very best. They have a serving limit of 2 per person and you will understand why. One is not enough but two is too much.....you will need some coffee!! I recommend you share the second one. The food is very tasty too. My favorite is the Camarones en Brocheta. Six huge grilled shrimp that have been stuffed with monterey jack cheese and jalapeno and wrapped with bacon. I use to frequent this location all the time when I lived in Cedar Park. Great atmosphere and good food. I prefer their Pond Springs Road location, seems the food always tastes a bit better but maybe that's just all in my head. I personally enjoy eating the carne asada plate as it is my favorite. Another frequent item I order are the chicken enchiladas. Check them out, just be aware the Cedar Park location can get busy especially on the weekends. read more

This is a great hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. They are Johnny on the Spot with the chips and salsa and always refill when you get somewhat low. We love the Margaritas and the Mexican food is great. Jardin Corona delivers true, undiluted flavor and quality that would be a value at twice the price. There is a lot of heart in this place, and the food. The service is fast and friendly, and you won't find pre-packaged food on your plate. It is a small-town Tex-Mex diner on the interior, and I've always felt comfortable coming here. Even when I place a to-go order for a couple of tacos, they always clean a table for me, and make me feel as valued as the family of four ordering a sixty-dollar ticket. A place this old isn't sparkly-clean, but I've never had an issue with a dirty table or booth. The comfortable atmosphere makes me feel better than some sanitized, "post-modern" "Mexi-concept" restaurants. Their breakfast and brunch plates are some of the best I've ever had, in my 33 years in Austin, Buda, Bastrop, Cedar Park, Phoenix, Santa Fe, Laredo and Leander. Their Migas -- unforgettably good! Tacos are cheap, and well-made. Never a cold one. The thing that makes this place a keeper, for me, isn't the food. It's the service. Everyone here knows the value of a minute and a dollar. This was a really cute place tucked away in a redbrick strip mall. The service was friendly and prompt. I liked the ambiance for the type of place it is. I had the top shelf margarita on the rocks with herradura tequila and the beef flaujitas with the beef chimichanga el jardin for my entree. The food was slightly above average but im used to southern California baja mex. I was hoping the chimi would have more than just beef and cheese. Also there was no sourcream or salsa served with any of the dishes which I thought strange. The margarita was slightly above average. This is a good local mexican joint for fair prices but it does leave something to be desired. read more

Different location. Same name. Same bland Tex-Mex. I can't describe in words how miserably bland and bad the food is at Jardin Corona. Everything I've had other than the chips and salsa (which were ordinary) tastes like a bad imitation of commonly recognized Tex-Mex. Every couple of years I get dragged into a Jardin Corona by a friend or coworker promising that its better than my last memory of the place and each time I regret the experience. What boggles my mind is the huge following this place has. Similar to the Jardin Corona location in NW Austin it was packed in here. Give them credit. Somehow they have mind control over their customers who believe the food is good and keep coming back. I've never seen anything like it. Each time I eat at a Jardin Corona I find myself beating my chest and gnashing my teeth in the parking lot on my way out crying and screaming "Soylent Green is people!". Like Charlton Heston's character, Robert Thorn, I feel like I am one of the few people in a world of Jardin Corona followers that recognizes that this is not good food. read more

I am the only one at the office that is not a big fan of this place, on Tuesday's they all want pollo tequila the daily special. It is very inexpensive, a little over $5 for a meal and drink. It is not a very clean place, I dont think they mop the floors very often. read more

jardin corona on pond springs road is our local go-to place when we're craving mex. super friendly and accommodating staff (it's a "Norm!" kind of place), good food, tasty ritas, and most of all - decent prices. the mexican martinis rival any that I've had in town. my personal favorite is the tortilla soup - but beware when you order - a bowl is really more like a trough. if you are thinking about ordering anything else to go along with your tortilla soup (even so much as a single enchilada), go with a cup. they also know how to treat their camarones at jardin - the shrimp dishes i have had there have all been really good. the atmosphere is extremely casual and the bar has about 4 stools - and that's it. but they will find you a table because you are always made to feel welcome at jardin. read more

I wanted to give this place one star, but considering I've only ate here once I figured that wasn't fair. I ordered the beef fajitas and meat was more than questionable. I've never witnessed meat like that before. It had this scaley look...? I don't know. It was odd and disturbing. It also shined an odd color in the light like a blueish-purple/green...? Sick. My friend ordered mixed fajitas, chicken and beef. Her chicken seemed alright but she had the same issue with her beef. That being said, the rice was alright. The beans, guac, pico, sour cream, and tortillas that came with it was good. The salsa was good as well. I wish I could say the high light of the meal was my enormous beer, but it was watered down. It tasted better half way through it, but I think it's because my taste buds were buzzed. Won't be back. Will not suggest to anyone. I first ate at this place and thought it was decent for both the price and the food. I ordered the fajitas for two. The first time I ate, they were actually tasty. I ate there recently and I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it was just awful. The only reason I gave it an extra star is because it wasn't bad the first time I ate there. I'm not sure how old the meat was but it did not taste like it was fresh. After this past time I wouldn't dare step foot in there. I don't understand why this place even has 3 1/2 stars because its nowhere near as good as that. After reading all of the negative reviews, I almost overlooked this place. Some friends wanted to have dinner there, though, so off to Jardin Corona I went. Here's my quick take... really good salsa and chips were served immediately and the salsa bowls were promptly refilled anytime they got low. We had a couple of pitchers of the margaritas on the rocks and they were both well mixed and potent. For my entree, I tried the bacon-wrapped and jalapeño stuffed shrimp. The exact name of the dish escapes me but it was awesome. After I'd eaten 5 of the 6 shrimp, I was stuffed. These things were huge... and delicious, which is why I still managed to eat the last one. There's nothing fancy about the joint, but the prices are good, the food's good and the margaritas will make you smile. read more

MY QUEST: to find a great Chicken Enchilada. It turns out that a Chicken Enchilada, although a fairly simple dish, is very difficult to execute. The reason is that Chicken is very easy to overcook, especially in an enchilada because the chicken is typically boiled first, then shredded and then cooked again in the tortilla. I have been to dozens of restaurants and Jardins is the only place that pulled it off! Also the sauce is critical, and for me it has to be the perfect GREEN, Jalopeno sauce, not too hot! What can I say Mexican martini ifs fantastic! The fajitas a lady Mexicana is the best. I just eat the steak peppers onion and jalapenos. I think the tortillas take away from how good this meal is. It's Tex Mex. It's not owned by Gordon Ramsay so don't expect perfection. I think it's good food, at a good price, severed by good people. Migas for breakfast - more than enough food for $5.99. Place can get busy and during that time they assume an "all hands on deck" approach to service. I think once I had 5 different people wait/serve me (all very pleasant). Even the chip and salsa technician was very friendly. I do recall a few years ago this place received a very high health rating after a random inspection. Not sure what it rates now. If you need a police officer this is where you will find them. read more
