Saw all the positive reviews for this place and had to try it! Got there a little after noon on a Tuesday and to my surprise there were no customers. I ordered falafel wrap, gyro wrap, side hummus, side eggplant dip and Turkish coffee. Taste wise, it was good - I would compare it to the same quality as what you would get in the Mediterranean alley in downtown LA. It took a long time to get our order. I suspect it's because it was a "one man show". Another couple came in a little after us and there were two takeout orders in addition to what I ordered. My partner was surprised that the bottle of water costs $2. I guess he should've paid attention that they charge for water or the lady taking our order should've reminded him that they only had bottled water for $2. The Turkish coffee was interesting. Worth a try. I would say. But it comes really hot in a paper cup with a lid over it. When I picked it up to drink it, the lid became loose and the hot coffee spilled out everywhere. I asked the lady for another cup and lid and explained what happened. My theory is the coffee was too hot for the paper cup to handle and it became soft and collapsed thus making the lid pop off. The lady returned with two paper cups, one inside the other and a new lid. I poured what was left of the Turkish coffee into the new cup and paid the bill and left. Now that I think about it, she should've offered to comp me for the coffee or get me a new order because I lost some of the coffee when it spilled and it burned both me and my partner. No matter, it's a lesson learned for them how to handle for future customers. I left a tip anyway because I felt bad she was running the place by herself. Probably won't come back. My partner said not a good idea to go in a restaurant with no customers. read more

We came on a Saturday for lunch on 4/10/22, trying this restaurant for the first time. There was only one occupied table inside, and I think they opened for lunch. The man at the register was kind of friendly. We ordered the beef kabob entree and gyro. They didn't have any water for customers, only bottled water for purchase. Luckily we brought our water bottles with us. We didn't wait too long for the food. When the food came out the portions were small. The kabob plate had 5 small pieces of beef. The beef was flavorful and tender, but small compared to most mediterranean restaurants. The gyro was very small, it looked like a small burrito. It was wrapped in a tortilla, instead of pita bread. The flavor was okay, nothing special. The hummus that came with the plate was the worse I've ever had. You can immediately tell that it was previously frozen. It was very cold and in a big hard lump. You can't even scoop it up with the pita bread that it comes with. It was the worse hummus I've ever had. During the meal the guy was wierd because he was watching me eat while he was standing at the register. He didn't greet the customers who came in after us. There was no paper towels in the restroom either. He seemed like he didn't want to be there. It was apparent that he was the only employee in the restaurant, and had to cook and maintain the restaurant and probably wasn't happy to do it all by himself, but that doesn't mean you cut corners with subpar food and services. Especially in the location right by the movie theater, there is great potential to thrive and succeed. It was our first and last time going there. There are far better mediterranean restaurants in West Covina that have much better food for with a better value. read more
