This is a gem! a hole-in-the wall, my family and I always like to try new foods, new restaurants or old restaurants with good food. This time we checked Yelp for great reviews for Thai food is been a while for Thai therefore we needed something different from American cuisine. I must say, the service is great, everyone is helpful and had a good attitude, menus have all types of delicious dishes they served plenty of good food. I came in through Palmdale Blvd, which is not the entrance, and was greeted right away. The young waitress was very sweet and attentive. I had the stir fry lunch special with tofu. Sadly, I believe they have the best Woonsen soup in the AV, but after yesterday's experience, I will never go back. I have been ordering their Woonsen soup for months through Door Dash during the pandemic & always order it the same way. Due to food sensitivities/allergies, I order it with no corn & mushrooms and no cilantro & scallions on top. I hate cilantro (I'm one of those for whom cilantro tastes like soap--verified by genetic testing) & I truly dislike raw scallions. I'm asking for ingredients to be withheld, not asking for extra anything or for something random to be added, but apparently they have "rules" about how many ingredients are allowed to be omitted--never mind about food sensitivity/allergies or something someone may truly dislike. I ordered through Door Dash as usual, but this time for pickup, and received a note of reprimand from the restaurant attached to my receipt that stated only THREE ingredients can be omitted, so they randomly decided which ingredients to omit and added corn to my soup which unfortunately I didn't know until I got home. I called pretty upset, but was told I should have let them know about allergies--WHY when I specifically said NO CORN & made the assumption that most restaurants try to PLEASE their PAYING customers--not reprimand them for ordering an item to their taste & need. We're paying for the food, RIGHT? Please see the picture of the note attached to my receipt. Let me reiterate--I asked that certain ingredients not be included. I was NOT asking for additions or substitutions. The person to whom I complained on the phone was beyond rude, never apologized for my ruined meal, and only defended their "rules" for ordering food & making decisions about MY paid food order. THIS ESTABLISHMENT DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Yet another customer lost, Gail & Jim, due to very poor customer service! This was an amazing experience for both me and my friend. My friend read the reviews but we still didn't quite know what to expect. We walked in and was surprised how crowded this place was, everyone seemed very happy. All the tables were full with food. Once we seen the crowd we knew we were in the right place. I give it two stars because according to my husband the seafood soup was delicious and they gave plenty. However this place DOES NOT SUBSTITUTE, ADD, or SUBTRACT. You could be allergic to something and they will not care. It comes as is. Also they charge $1 to remove ice from your cup. Will not return. Ohhh my goodness, this is my favorite place to get Thai food in the AV. They always have the best customer service. As far as their food, there isn't anything here that I wouldn't recommend. My favorite dish by far is the pineapple curry however I've had the Pad Thai which is a delicious classic. The only downside to this place is that you really have to know where you're going because parking is in the back and there is just this small driveway you have to pull in to and drive around to the backside of the restaurant. What an outstanding Thai Restaurant. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, the Jasmine Golden Crab and the Jasmine Tangerine Shrimp. All three were out of this world good! The Tom Yum soup was very savory and had lots of mushrooms and chicken pieces in it. The Golden Crab stuffed wontons were stuffed with crab meat with a little bit of cream cheese (normally, its the other way around and you wonder if there's any crab in it), they are the best Crab stuffed wontons we ever eaten. And the Jasmine Tangerine Shrimp, OH MY GOSH!, fresh fried shrimp with just the right amount of coating and the Tangerine sauce was really, really good! (ask for a little extra sauce on it, oh my!) We also ordered some Wonton Soup and the Combination Pineapple Fried Rice to-go and it too was really excellent. Your really lucky to have such a great Thai Restaurant nearby! read more

I just ordered tofu pad thai from Jasmine Thai. I called in the order and the staff was very friendly but would not add spice to my order. They said that it was authentic pad thai and they would only give me spice on the side. Well, okay. So i just got my lunch, and I guess the scores of times I've eaten pad thai have not been authentic. There is NO peanut flavor in these noodles. They are almost buttery and slimy which is weird. Three of us shared yellow curry with tofu, Pad See Ew with chicken, and the Jasmine Tangerine chicken. Of all of it, i would say that the tangerine chicken was the strongest (even though it's super fried, and I tend to hate fried food) and the yellow curry was the weakest. The Pad See Ew was fine. It's not a very attractive space, so I would suggest take-out rather than eating in, though I will say that the service was lovely and attentive. Hole in the wall places are THEE BEST. This place was very quiet and the decor is minmal except for a large projection screen showing photos of Thailand. The tables and chairs are nothing more than a seat and place to fet down in some great food. Appetizers: we had fried chicken wings which were good, seasoned well. We also had golden triangles (Thai version of fried chicken wontons) which were so good! Main dishes: the seafood fried rice was excellent! The flavor was different from the usual,ehich is a good thing and it had imitation crab, mussels and shrimp inside and we also had red shrimp curry and pineapple chicken curry. Love love love! I had the cucumber salad, plus jasmine fried rice and red curry and it was so delicious and presented beautifully. Will definitely come back. I had high hopes for this place... I was in the area and wanted some Thai food. I looked up a few places and this one had the highest reviews so I decided to go there. Boy was I disappointed.... I ordered Tom yum shrimp soup and they asked me how spicy I wanted it, and since I don't like too much spice I decided medium would be good... the soup came and it was the spiciest I have ever had it in any Thai place I have been, even when I have ordered a higher level of spice. I asked for a 5 and this was more like a ten. I called the waitress over, which I can say was really nice, which I appreciate, however she wasn't very accommodating, the only solution she offered was to add more soup. I went ahead and said ok since she didn't offer to bring out a new one. In the meantime another waitress came by and said that the chili was hotter in the summer so I should have ordered milder. But how was I supposed to know that?! It was never explained to me and if this was a medium spicy I cannot imagine what a level 10 spicy would be! Well when she brought the soup out again, it was still super spicy, I just couldn't eat it. But I was hungry and didn't want to have to go somewhere else so I asked for a new soup in mild. I told the waitress I would pay for it, as she didn't seem to want to offer to change it free of charge. I don't blame her personally because I feel like she maybe didn't have the authority to make that decision. Well the next soup was just ok, I've definitely had better. The whole experience was just very disappointing. I definitely didn't appreciate the fact that I was made to feel like it was my fault that the soup was too spicy. I was polite the entire time because our waitress was nice but the overall service was not great. I also ordered Thai tea and it was extremely sweet, I had to ask for a glass of water just to be able to drink it. I ordered hot tea for my parents and the kettle was leaking so when we poured it into the cup it spilled out. This also reminded me that they did not bring out napkins for us either until I asked for them. In the end I thought maybe just maybe they would redeem themselves by not charging me for the second soup, but sure enough it was on my bill. I was looking for a place to eat dinner in Palmdale, and was impressed by the stellar reviews for this place, and I just had to check it out. We loved it so much, we came back for lunch the next day to bring some of our family to try it out. FYI, when you are driving into the plaza for this place, it looks a bit sketchy, especially at night since apparently two of the businesses in this plaza are shut down so it looks pretty dark from the front and as you turn into the lot. Honestly, I thought the restaurant was closed the first time I turned into the lot for dinner, and was either about to leave or was thinking of calling to see if they were open, but then I saw the back door open. I was a bit scared to walk in, since it seemed strange to enter this back door in what looked like a deserted plaza, but I'm sure glad I did walk through those doors, because I was pleasantly surprised by the space and loved the food and the service. The owner-Jim was there, and his wife-Gail was cooking in the kitchen. I didn't get to meat Gail but I did meet her twin sister who was assisting on the floor along with another really nice server-who's name I can't recall or maybe I never knew to begin with. Jim was super personable as was all the people who worked at this establishment. I loved how clean the restaurant felt, and I liked the paintings of Thailand and photos of Thailand being reflected on the screen. The food was awesome! Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Some of my faves were shrimp pad thai, shrimp pad see ew, shrimp tom yum-the shrimp they use here is big and tasty. And the larb was probably one of the best I've ever had-the lemon grass was very vibrant and they added some crispy rice for texture which was amazing. We loved everything we tried, and I definitely want to come back and eat here soon. The prices are super fair, and actually the most affordable Thai food I've seen. The dishes in Thai town are a few dollars more. The only thing that surprised me was that they added automatic gratuity for our party of 6, and didn't tell us in advance, so we didn't realize it until later, and actually double tipped, but we really didn't mind much since the food and service were superb-just would have been nice to get a heads up. read more

Because what everyone does while two hours into a nine-hour Los Angeles to Reno drive is get Thai food. But seriously. I stopped in Palmdale to find a restroom and ended up at a Thai food place thanks to Yelp. It's not super easy to find, so I did end up going up and down the street a couple times, so they might want to think about ways to improve their visibility a bit. I made a promise to myself that I wasn't going to get chicken pad thai, and I didn't. I got shrimp. Besides my failure to expand my horizons, the food at Jasmine Thai really was exceptional. The portion is a reasonable lunch portion to go along with the reasonable price, and you can tell that they are working hard to make the food as delicious and authentic as possible. The shrimp was bouncy, the sauce and flavorings were well balanced, and the small amount of veggies on the side were fresh and crispy. I was in a little bit of a hurry, having so much driving in front of me, but the staff was so friendly, efficient, and prompt I didn't even need to let them know. I'm not sure I'll often be both in the mood for Thai food and in Palmdale, but if I am I know where I'm headed. read more

I'm always skeptical of so many five star reviews, but we were in the area, and hungry, so we decided to try it. We were not at all disappointed! Green curry was a highlight--it's the best I've had since my visit to Thailand. Another notable thing--their meat is noticeably high quality. It's pretty rare in local Asian food to get the beef that doesn't curl up when cooked. And the prices are crazy--two of us had a starter, curry and rice and a noodle dish for $25. Best Thai food in the AV. I went at 3pm for lunch and ordered the chicken satay, chicken chop suey and yellow chicken curry. All three were fantastic! There was no on else in the restaurant and the prices were great. 7.99 for each entree, 6.99 for the chicken satay appetizer. The owner had us move to a larger table to accomodate all of the dishes and was very attentive. I would definitely eat here again! read more
