However, as an existing patient, the next appt they had available was 8 1/2 months out. Stop accepting new patients if you can not handle the ones that you already have. It's a slap in the face. It's also a zoo when you go in there. It's very hectic and I've never seen the same hygienist more than once. They also have an annoying habit of pestering you. For example, I had a 1pm appt. I was parking the car and at 1:01pm I get a call asking if I'm still coming. However, on multiple visits I've waited in the lobby 15 minutes past the appointment time to be taken in. So they are fine with making you wait but 1 minute late on your part and it's an issue.

It never feels like a rushed "hi-bye" visit; they take the time to connect, make you feel seen, and somehow manage to be personable, funny, and kind all at once. Honestly, I wish I could be friends with all of them! I've come here for pictures, X-rays, cleanings, deep cleanings, and most recently wisdom teeth removal. Every experience has been amazing, but it was my wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Kamal that drove me to finally write this review. I was terrified going in. I put off getting my wisdom teeth out for 5-7 years because my pain tolerance is laughably low (getting my ears pierced was traumatic enough). I had to get all 4 removed at once to relieve some pain I was experiencing, and from the first conversation, the team completely reassured me. They went over everything, post-op plans, expectations, recovery tips and made me feel like I was genuinely in good hands. But even then, I had no idea just how committed they were to making this comfortable for me. The surgery? Flawless. I didn't feel a single bit of pain or discomfort not before, during, or after. I'm someone who cries at a paper cut, so to walk away from oral surgery without pain? Truly a miracle. I chose IV sedation, and it was so easy , i fell asleep, and next thing I knew, I was at home, pain-free and minus four teeth. Recovery has been just as smooth. No pain, no issues, and if there ever was a moment of mild discomfort, Tylenol took care of it. I went in for my post-op checkup and everything is healing beautifully. Ill now be starting my invisalign journey with them. Dr. Kamal is amazing, and I still can't believe how positive this entire experience was. I couldn't have asked for a better team or outcome. I ask her why has there been a price increase and she says it is protocol that insurance is ran before the appointment and pricing for fillings increased-- so coincidently there was an increase in "fillings" within a couple weeks before my appointment? Weird I told her I'm not paying that and she replies, OK that's fine and I walk out. I then call my insurance company and they claim to have no record of anyone calling from Aloha Dental, no one submitting photos or estimates for a treatment and they advised me to speak to my dentist office to find out why there was an increase. I call back again and the same manager person says, well if you didn't storm out, I could've explained everything to you. Then she immediately offers me a discount and says again if you didn't storm out, I would've offered you a discount-- which is a lie because as soon as I said, I'm not paying that she quickly replies, OK that's fine and didn't speak anymore. She gives me a reference number and a name of a person she allegedly spoke to from my insurance. I called the insurance company again and they couldn't find that reference number and didn't know what I was talking about. I immediately call back to cancel my Husband's upcoming appointment with them. Be careful! Companies will do whatever they can to get more money out of clients.

But finally I made it a goal to go back. I found this new dentist through my insurance and made an appt. To be honest, the appointment kind of snuck up on me. If not, I probably would've rescheduled from how scared I was, but I'm glad I did it. When I walked into the office, I was immediately greeted by two great ladies at the front. Vik was definitely the friendly face that I needed to see when I walked in to make my mind at ease. Once I was called back, the lady that took care of me with my x-rays was super nice and super talkative with me because when I am scared, I am a certified yapper and she literally entertained me the whole time. So thankful for her. The dentist I couldn't be more thankful for Mark Escoto. He came in, had a genuine conversation with me and let him know my concerns and he listened like truly listened. He didn't shave me for avoiding the doctor. He didn't shame me for not flossing like I should. He just understood. I didn't think I'd get my cleaning all at the same day with my x-rays because in the past office that I was in I'd have to do two different scheduling and it was just such a hassle.
