Jason's Deli is a highly consistent franchise, if you've been to one then you've been to them all. What sets this location apart is that it backs up to the huge playground that is in the heart of SouthPark Meadows. I bring my kids here after school to burn off all of their extra energy. Cause who needs kids running around their house with a full store of energy? I prefer them to be at a maximum of half capacity by the time I bring them home. My little ones like the salad bar (mostly because they get soft serve for dessert), it has lots of fresh green veggies and whatever fixins you may desire. My kids are addicted to the mac and cheese here too, they ask for it every time. I think it may be time for an intervention. They serve a killer Reuben, (for adult-sized appetites) the massive piles of corned beef, cheese, and sauerkraut make for a delectable gut-filling experience. I've never gone wrong with any of their soups either, every one that I've tried has been phenomenal, namely the broccoli cheese, french onion, or minestrone. Oh yeah, they have lots of vegetarian options for the herbivores amongst us as well. I was glad to see that they carry Nantucket Nectar bottled juices, as well as Boylan's Creme soda and Blackberry soda. At least they use pure cane sugar in place of the HFCS crap everyone else uses. If you're going to go here, don't go at 12:15. This should be patently obvious to most breathing humans who might get nervous in full contact with other humans at a salad bar, but it wasn't to me. Well, not right away anyway. You have to give it to 'that' Jason and 'his' Deli. When the dessert lover suggested that we stop in here for lunch today, I was genuinely excited. This has not always been the case. At any rate, especially given the fact that the local weather's been waxing inclement of late, the thought of some warm chicken noodle soup and a brimming healthy salad with balsamic, I was an easy mark. Keep promising yourself that you'll eat healthy soon and eventually you get desperate for same. I was starving, with a heaving conscience to boot. Lunch was just what the doc ordered but as you might have imagined super crowded. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry here (I mean, lunch hour -- I get it -- but deep breaths people) and it wasn't until we nabbed our plates, did the bump n' burn at the salad bar, and rested at a nearby table did the blood pressure start to subside. And fortunately, that was the path still taken, as the warm goodness of hot soup met the leafy hungerbuster salad I was after. We'll see if I'm hungry again in two hours. This reminds me of a more hands on Panera. You walk in and order your food and they call you when its ready. We didn't eat here but it looked like it had a salad bar that you could make your own salad too. We had the irish potato soup, chicken noodle soup and the California club. All were what we expected and all were good. I don't see many Paneras close by and this is a good altery. I would go again. read more

Jason Deli is my go to for my Amy O turkey sandwhich. I can get that with GF bread, add pickles w/ chips for $8.99. Yum! I normally add a smigen of mayo with the ground mustard. My husband always gets the salad bar and eggs all the fixings on top. For a quick healthy place to go, this place is awesome. Our ticket never goes over $20.00 bucks and maybe $24 w/ tip if I add soup and a tea. They have vegan and vegetarian options.. We are approaching a generation of people who believe that the only good meat is turkey. Ground turkey instead of ground beef in tacos, turkey burgers instead of regular burgers, sandwich meat HAS TO BE turkey. I guess Jason's is following in that path. They had completely changed their menu and all of my favorite items have been removed. They have completely revamped their soup menu removing the best French Onion Soup on the planet... Their salad bar has removed over 50% of their regular toppings and replaced it with 5 different kinds of lettuce. Removed their Mediterranean feta and pasta salad and most other items from the salad bar. Their sandwiches? Well what toppings/bread type do you want with your turkey, because that's all there is. Turkey on croissant? Turkey on rye? FIESTA turkey with guacamole?! They literally have a whole section on their menu that has turkey in it. I have never been to the restaurant itself. I just moved in and needed a place that delivered. The reviews were good so I tried it. Jason's Deli may be a chain, but the food is amazing. I have not gotten anything that wasn't great. Some have complained that they add a delivery charge. Be realistic. The packaging the food comes in costs them money. And they send it packed well. With condiments, napkins, utensils... etc. It is absolutely worth it. I order from Jason's deli a couple times a week and have not been disappointed once. It is super easy to order online. Oh man oh man do I love me some Jason's deli. When we don't feel like cooking and happen to be out and about in South Park Meadows this is one of my favorite lunch or dinner spots. My go to is of course the salad bar and I add a bowl of soup for less than $2. The salad bar is great! They have plenty of options to make a good salad. It always looks good and seems to be well taken care of. I will be honest though, where it's at is the broccoli cheese soup ....mmmmm!! It's my favorite soup .... EVER.... and just super delicious. The Salad bar is awesome and addictive with ice cream treat!!! Hubby and I love the salad bar, veggies and greens are always fresh and super juicy. Dining areas are open however some booths and quiet tables on the other side of dining area seperated by wall partition. Also the staff is very good as well. They always monitor and clear tables constantly so the table is always cleard. We have been hitting this location every weekend...I just wish we had this pareticular deli closer to 78739 zip code...We tried the Jason Deli in the arboretum but quality/service just wasn't the same....I did however hear one is opening up in Belterra. The presentation was terrible and the worst part was finding a hair (pube) in between the guac and sandwich bread. I was grossed out after that and left. Very disappointed with the people working tonight! Normally I have nothing but great things to say about Jason's Deli. However, tonight was different. We did get there 10-15 minutes before they closed but we were not allowed to sit down and eat. They took our order and after the lady walked over to another coworker all he said was oh great. We only ordered 2 sandwiches. We were not allowed to sit down. They rushed our food. My beefeater didn't come with the au jus it normally comes with which makes the sandwich. The cali club had a small bone in it and I am appalled right now. I understand we came in late but if the employees have a problem working the entire shift maybe they need to find a new job. I'm sure there are tons of people who would appreciate the position and not be so eager to get off work before the restaurant actually closes. read more

I'm basing this review on one sandwich I ate here yesterday. Granted, one sandwich does not a thorough review make, but it was a pretty half-ass sandwich, so I'm yelping it. I think most peeps around town have tried a Jason's Deli, as it was apparently born in TX, so there are no revelations here, just reviewing a weak-sauce sanny and getting the location on the Yelp map. So this is in the Southpark Meadows shopping center, next to the playground. I still have yet to see Cartman terrorizing innocent kids, but I'm sure he'll make an appearance at some point. I did see Kenny fall off some playground equipment and die, which is always good entertainment. It's a decent-sized location, with plenty of indoor seating (which was packed with Xmas shoppers) and patio dining on two sides. It has a fairly large array of menu options, including a salad bar, which may or may not be present at other locations. The sandwich I ordered was a California Club...seemed like a good choice, given that turkey, bacon, avocado, tomatoes and cheese is usually a winning combination. Not so much this time. However, I will take some responsibility here...I changed breads. Normally served up on a "toasted all butter croissant", I instead opted for the New Orleans french bread. Bad move. Sprouts and dry french bread = losing combination. Now I suppose this could have worked if the bread was a little fresher and the proportions just right, buuuuttt...it wasn't, and they weren't. There were two scrawny pieces of bacon. Strike one. Load that biatch up! Bacon me, damnit!! Strike two was the guac. Granted, the menu states guacamole, and so I have only myself to blame, but guacamole belongs on chips, tacos, burritos and with fajitas. Plain avocado slices (or even better, mashed avocado with some ground black pepper sprinkled on...yummm) belong on a turkey bacon sandwich. I'm guessing guac is easier and cheaper for them deal with, as I don't believe avocado slices are offered as an option. Strike three was the swiss, which was 1) not tasty, and really didn't have much flavor, and 2) set on top of the sandwich, so that if I picked it up for a bite, it would have just fallen off...I had to manually insert it under the bread. I found that strange. So, they struck out, but the third strike got by the catcher and the sandwich made it on base. Only to be picked off when my first bite was all dry bread and sprouts. I had a least a few bites like that, which always disappoints. I should have put a little more thought into my order, and went with squaw bread (usually good with sprouts) or just the butter croissant. My bad. Not much turkey or bacon, not many tomato slices, the dominant flavors were bread and sprouts. I opted for a little fruit cup as a side, which was small but good, and came with a pretty tasty yogurt sauce to dip the fruit in. Healthy options are always good. I've had catered Jason's Deli grub at company meetings before, and it has always been better than this experience, so I'm giving it 3 stars. Being next to a playground and having beer pretty much guarantees a minimum of three stars. And based on the amount of people in there, most of the menu options are better that what I went with...which they better be, with all of the other dining options there. Six paragraphs for a freaking sandwich? Get over yourself. UPDATE: $1.99 kids meals and a great salad bar for under $7 have garnered and extra star. This place is growing on me. I've only had take-out from this location. But why not? When you're hungry and for some reason all you really want is a baked potato, you can call here and get a baked POTATO. Have you had one?! It's bigger than my head ... and I have a big head. It's HUGE. (the potato, that is!) It's fatty and there's lots of cheese and lots of butter and lots of cheese and lots of butter, but it's actually pretty good. All the extra stuff makes it easier to cover the whole spud. And those cranberry-walnut-oatmeal cookies by the counter are pretty good, too. read more

Jason's deli is in my opinion hanging on its last life line. There is nothing different or special or extraordinary. I feel like I could be in any fast casual deli usa. I tried Jason's for lunch. There was no line and the very large dining area was sparse in diners. They wear masks but no gloves and there's a salad bar. Seriously, a salad bar during Covid. I had the carmela and a drink with a side of mixed veggies, $13.86. The standard side is chips but for an upcharge you can choose a number of other items. The drinks are self serve, typical unsweet/sweet tea and fountain sodas. They give you a table flag with a number and your meal is served to you as soon as its ready, thats nice, I liked that. I got to sit opposed to hovering near a counter waiting with and near other people all hungry and anxious to be back to work within a reasonable amount of time. The carmela came out "reuben" like, meaning the meats are thin, shaved thin, and the sour dough is super duper buttered. You'll need a napkin. The meat is all clumped in the middle, you'll need to spread it out. The bread is toasted but unedible chewy at the edges. The mayo is supposed to be spicy but is a faint hint of maybe an echo that might register as hot, or spicy. The cheese was thoroughly covering the sandwich, strange bc to have one condiment in a ball o meat and then the others evenly spread out is difficult eating. The taste is muted, not super flavorful, I couldn't taste the salami, which is a shame because thats my favorite supporting actor in a sandwich. I had a bit of a stomach ache after, maybe not the best quality of meat at a chain fast casual. My side of steamed veggies was impressive, probably because I did not expect it to actually be substantial. It comes in a 4oz porcelain cup and its steaming hot, enjoyable to eat on a cold day like it was. Broccoli, baby carrots string zuchinni, and squash chunks. The ice machine wasn't working so my drink was tepid, not a huge deal, machines break sometimes. It was clean looking, nothing dirty popped out. I dont recommend eating here given other choices. I won't be back. Its just meh. read more

Crystal is a sweetheart!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down Jason's Deli has good food and better than Panera. Panera gets props for good coffee and a little more cozy atmosphere though. This location has shaded patio eating. Also, who can go wrong with free ice cream. The salads are great and they have great gluten-free bread. The soup I love that they have started serving is the spicy seafood gumbo. This location can get pretty busy and the best time to come is before 1pm. read more
