Haven't been disappointed yet, even when there's been a snafu. One afternoon my family and I went for lunch; my sister tasted something that didn't sit quite right with her. We told the manager, Nathan, and he handled it perfectly. On top of that, he was handling a few unnecessary complaints from other customers, and each time he was polite, charming, handled it with such grace and solved everyone's problems - including my sister's. We all had a positive experience; the food was good quality and filling, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable - especially Nathan. I have been a loyal customer of Jason's deli since 2009. Are used to order from your store in fair Lakes Virginia where I never had any issues and had the ultimate customer experience. Since moving to Palm Harbor Florida I have ordered from Jason's Deli one time. This delivery was made on February 19, 2020 and the minimum delivery order was $35 since I live approximately 6.5 miles away from the deli. Today when I placed my online order I immediately received a phone call back from the store manager who basically said in a nonchalant fashion that the minimum order would be $55 or I could spend another $20 and they would go ahead and deliver it or I could just pick it up. I could not understand this managers name, because he mumbled the entire conversation. I did not even know I was speaking to the manager until I asked to speak to a manager. The confusion I have is why they would deliver to me less than one month ago and completely refused to deliver today. The manager seemed to state the policy of being 6.5 miles away from his deli over and over again. Ultimately customer service is something that is not in the forefront of this managers mind set. I have very rarely experienced this type of customer service that represents a company that is well known for its service. read more

Watch your credit card in this place. I stooped in for lunch the other day and payed my bill was approved in card reader. Afterward while eating lunch the lady that rang me up said my card didn't take she needed to run again. I checked my mobile bank ap that showed it went through twice. I talked with manager and he said it didn't go through. Nothing he could do about it to call his help desk if it didn't clear off was very rude. It's always great to rediscover a restaurant from your past. Years ago, we used to go to Jason's and stopped going because the cost wasn't equal to the food quality. Well, that has changed in a big way! On this day, we both decided on their wonderful Quarter Ham and Salami Muffalettas ($6.26)! Don't bother with the Roast Turkey Muffaletta, what's the point? If you get a regular Ham and Salami it's the same calories and a much better taste. They come with chips that are meh. I got the One Trip to the Salad Bar add on for $4.59. You too can pile tons of delicious salad bar ingredients on top of each other to create a gravity defying salad that will be the envy of all those who witness your prowess! My better half ordered the Manager's Special with the Muffaletta that included a choice of soup. The Spicy Seafood Gumbo was chosen. The only seafood that I could spy in the gumbo were some salad sized shrimp (read: itty-bitty shrimp). However, the gumbo was the right color, consistency and flavor. In short, it was awesome! I will get a big bowl of it on my next visit! With a couple of beverages, the whole experienced cost around $25. For a couple of big boys, that wasn't too much to pay for a delicious and ample lunch. If you haven't been by Jason's for a while, I encourage you to do so. It always makes me a bit nostalgic because it reminds me of the food halls in Jester Dorm at the University of Texas! read more

Be my friend and I went to Jason's today for the salad bar. I have not been there in a few months against we paid for salad bars to go plates and walked over to the salad bar. It was disappointing to say the least it seems to have shrunk in selection the very basic items for a salad very basic little desserts and I mean two or three, other than the tiny muffins. I remember Jason's deli salad bar to be much better no more tuna salad no more egg salad just very basic items. Chain sandwich places always turn me off, and it's probably the reason I hadn't been to Jason's sooner, but the joke's on me because this place is muy bueno! We literally rolled thru just to get a snack sandwich to split before we embarked on an impromptu stay-cation up the coast. Honestly, I feel we made the right choice. La Chica ordered us a custom sandwich: Panini bread, fresh mozzarella, pesto, tomatoes, spinach and ham. In a million years, I would have never ordered this sandwich, and I don't know why because it was very good. The sammich included free Ruffles and the option for free soft-serve ice cream. Are you kidding me? Only a communist would pass on free ice cream, so of course I got myself a small serving. It should also be noted that they have a massive salad bar and they deliver. Staff was great, and the bathrooms get a 4.0 star for cleanliness and stock. I will no longer scoff at Jason's Deli, and will most definitely return. read more

Free ice cream?! Sign me up! This is great place for groups and families. A big variety of flavors and dishes from meatball sub to Mexican baked potato. The chicken pot pie soup, salad bar, and the muffaletta sandwiches are my go-tos. Everything tastes fresh and nothing is fried so you don't feel weighed down once you leave. In my opinion the sandwiches are a little small so I usually get a one-time salad bar plate or load up on the complimentary mini muffins and ice cream. They didn't give much direction on what to do so we had to ask a lot of questions on where to order and where to go from there. Basically you place your order at the counter, pay on the right and then they bring the food to your table. The ice cream is free. The food was really good! The sandwiches were huge!! Jason's Deli is very overwhelming when you first walk in. The menu is huge and there are people everywhere. Some people were in line, some people were walking around those people in line to a different line. What do I do? Luckily, I was with a large group from work. They explained the basics. I was going to order something other than the salad bar, but the quick pace and huge menu changed my mind. The salad bar is pretty dang impressive. I must say that I was more than happy with it even if I did feel the $10-$11 for a salad bar and drink was a bit much initially. The salad bar had just about every option you could think of to top your salad. Yummy little beets, pasta salad, egg salad, nuts and cranberries the usual egg, cheese, bacon options. There were even little corn muffins and something that looked like brownies but tasted lighter. They also have crackers and other packaged items to grab and add to your meal. Ohh yeah, there is free ice cream. I opted to eat some fruit from the salad bar instead for desert with a little of the pudding. I did ask for a second salad plate because I wanted to put my fruit and pudding "dessert" on a plate on my second trip. I was told I had to go back to the busy line to ask for a new plate. I went up there and it took a couple of minutes and I received a very dirty judgemental look followed by a plate. I guess it is really only all you can eat if you are willing to receive criticism for grabbing more than you can pile the first time. Overall, I was happy with the meal. Paid and placed the Number on the Holder at my table, and it took over 20 mins to get a simple sandwich, loaded up with the items I requested they not put on the sandwich. This is the second Jason's Deli I have visited while visiting my friend in Florida. We tend to go here after flying in, while she's still at work--because its a casual, comfortable place that always has what we want. This cafe is very large-however my only gripe about this entire place is that I had a hard time finding where to place my order. We came in around 2pm after the lunch rush, there was really no one around-everyone was stocking and cleaning...so I ended up walking up and down the aisle just not knowing where to go... turns out I passed it even though there were people working behind the counter...thanks for giving me the heads up ladies!
