A few things on their menu has changed but overall my visits here are enough to keep my coming back. Yesterday I called to place a curbside order and was placed on hold for 10mins. Decided to try my luck again today, no hold but the lady who took my order seemed less than enthused that someone called in. You used to be able to add a cup of soup w/ a sandwhich for $1 but now it's $3.99. I ordered the Club Royale w/ a bowl of seafood gumbo. The sandwich was small but it was packed w/ meat and it was delicious! The croissant made it even better. The gumbo actually looks like gumbo but had no flavor. I had to doctor it up @home w/ some cayenne, tony's, garlic powder, and a dash of hot sauce. I'd go back for this sandwich but I'm disappointed in the price increase to add a small cup of soup w/ a sandwhich. Overall I will continue visiting this location. read more

So I visit this Jason's Deli maybe once a month or so. Some days, it's perfect! Other days, not so much. Yesterday I ordered a California Club sandwich and the croissant was burnt! JD is dependably good no matter which location. It is a good alternative to typical fast food. My mom and I stopped by for dinner before going to a movie tonight. She got a pastrami sans sauerkraut. Ordered a sandwich to split with my wife yesterday evening. Brought it home sealed in the bag. My wife started to eat her half when on her second bite she pulled a black hair out of her mouth. Being blond and gray haired she started vomiting on her plate. Took my half uneaten sandwich back to the restaurant to get my money back. And the manager said he would make me another one. WTF. Gotta love a place that has sandwiches so huge you can have 2 meals out of them. Since moving to Texas I have missed some types of food I haven't been able to find that is palatable, a Reuben is one of them. Jason's hit it out of the park! The corned beef was succulent and tender, it all worked. Can't wait to go back. Service was pretty quick considering it was lunch time. I'm really sad, I went to Jason's Deli tonight and bought some sandwiches, and I was really disappointed in the quality of food that I received. This is not the first time I have received very poor quality food from the Jason's Deli on Mason Road, but I am still a huge fan of Jason's Deli. My issue just seems to be with the Jason's Deli on Mason Road, I don't know who they have making their sandwiches, but they need to invest in some training. There is so much that is off with their sandwiches that fall very short of where their sandwiches used to be. The tomatoes you get on your sandwich are not fresh in anyway, they are complete mush. This also contributes to a very soggy sandwich. The bread sandwich was made on, tasted like it was old and not fresh at all. There was barely any meat on the sandwich and the Swiss cheese that they put on the sandwich tasted like absolute garbage. Did y'all start using a different kind of cheese for some reason? Im a big fan of this place because it gives a (potentially) healthy alternative to all of the suburban fastfood crap that can be found out here in Katy. I came 10 min before closing ( I am a jerk lol ) Brandon the manager I think took our order and was so professional and polite invited us to stay and feel comfortable even though they where closing. After he locked the doors he went to every table and checked to make sure all was good again letting everyone know they are welcome to stay and enjoy no rush to leave. I called in an order at 5:55pm. I get to Jason's Deli to pick it up at 6:05pm. Server tells me my order will be ready in a few minutes. I finally get my "to-go" sandwiches and soup at 6:25pm. What is the point of ordering a to-go order if you're going to spend 20 minutes waiting for two sandwiches and two cups of soup? I watched people come in, order, get served, and eat half of their dinner in 20 minutes I stood in the to-go area waiting for my food. There is no excuse for poor service. It is SO FRUSTRATING when a restaurant can't get a simple order right! I completed MY portion of this interaction. I drove to your restaurant, made my own salad, waited my turn, paid for my food. The least you could do is make sure everything is in the bag!! I ordered the salad bar with an added grilled chicken breast, a cup of soup, and a croissant. I was sent to the salad bar and told to come back to the front for the rest. I did so, was handed a bag, and continued on my errands. When I got home and opened the bag, no chicken breast! It's a small mistake, but so annoying to either drive back to the restaurant, or have just salad for dinner(because the rest of the order wasn't for me). They refunded me for the chicken when I called, but it's just not okay in my opinion to mess up a VERY SIMPLE order. read more

Jason's is hit or miss. It's never bad, but some are better than others. This one was okay. Service was a bit slow and the booths and decor were a bit old and messy. The sandwiches are good and the soup was good too. Though the soup reminded me of Quizno's soup which was weird. It was good. The salad bar was clean, but they were out of almost all their teas at the same time. Bummer. Ive been going to J.Del in rice village since college. Since then, Ive always been getting the managers special with the turkey wrap (yumm!) and whatever soup im in the mood for or havent tried. Always delcious and I feel healthy :D Best part is the free ice cream! My school had catered here before. sometimes we get the box lunch with a sanchwich chips and dessert. other times weve gotten pasta and that is some good pasta. so filling itll put you to sleep! We have always gone to this Jason's deli ordering the same 2 items that we like. We have been going here since 2005. I order extra meat on my sandwiches every time. The fee was higher than I always paid today. Tony refunded the amount to me, and I was informed on their cost. However this was my first time to talk with Joey, and he left me feeling like bad. He said that I wasn't charged extra meat the last time I ordered and that infuriated me because I take pics of all my receipts, and I know 100% that I ALWAYS pay for extra meat. To tell me that, pissed me off. You can inform me about the cost but don't accuse me of something I didn't do. I'm still giving 4 stars because the staff and Tony are great. Did you know you can get a baked potato bigger than your face stuffed with chopped BBQ brisket you got to try this sometime it is delicious not to mention the salad bar which is always fresh and always topped off. i hate this place so much. words can not describe how much i have suffered since i step foot into this resturant. i will explain why. i walked in with my friend and her family expecting a nice lunch, after we ordered we walked to an empty table and i saw a free ice cream machine. of course i decided to get some ice cream since it's free, i got one and hate it, it was really good. a few minutes later i got into my friends car so we could go to another store. i felt a small pain in my stomache but i didn't think much of it. a few minutes later i felt the same pain but it was more sharp. once me and my friend got to the store, i decided to fart because i thought it would be a small gassy one. i was wrong. my body trembled. i shaked. i took the fattest, wettest, juiciest, booty trembling, earth shaking, stomache quaking, poop ever. i havent told my friend out of embarassment. and there was no bathroom in the store. i walked 2 hours and 40 minutes inside of that harrendous store. i hate jason's deli free ice cream.. read more

Ambient-temperature soup ... and that was only the beginning. In the past, Jason's would give you a number which you could post on your table and they would bring the order to you. Tonight, I was given a light-up coaster that buzzed when my order was ready for me to pick up and carry back to my table. About the soup--at one time it was hot enough to melt the cheese on top, but when I tasted it, it was barely above room temperature. And I ate it there--this was not a delivery order. Also, I ordered a "bowl" which I expected to be a fair amount, but it was in a shallow dish so it had a large surface area on the top (with a lot of bacon bits--+1 for that) and the formerly-melted cheese, but it was not sufficiently deep to keep the soup hot from the time it was placed in the (apparently cold) bowl till it went to the counter, and then to my table. It tasted okay, but not stellar. I won't be ordering it again. I got a half a sandwich with it--an Italian Cruz Po' boy on last week's French bread. Not getting that again, either. I'm a big fan of Jason's so I'm incredibly disappointed by this visit. I cater lunches for my employer from another location. To cap it off, as I was preparing to depart, the person busing the table put the cart in a position so I couldn't get up and slowly removed my dishes from the table. Finger on the Scale. I ordered a pound of the turkey meat, they do offer there meats by the pound although not advertised on the menu. I was given the meat in a small soup container... I walked out thinking it seemed light for a pound.. I took a 16oz can at home and compared to the weight of the turkey felt very light in comparison. Called manager went back and he took meat into the back room and said that yes it was light on the weight and he would add more turkey meat. ..By this point with all the hassle and the outrage that they are NOT weighing the meats they sell by the pound I demanded a refund.
