I have mixed emotions about this experience at Jason's deli. First of all service was outstanding the place was super nice and I would not hesitate to go here again. Also I tried the new lobster bisque soup and it was amazing this menu item is worthy of five stars. And I love that you can always get a free ice cream cone to go. What really Disappointed me about this particular Jasons was the Ruben sandwich. I always brag to my friends that Jason's deli has the best Reuben in town and other locations in other towns it is an amazing sandwich within the thin sliced corned beef stacked high on grilled pumpernickel rye marble bread it is one of my favorites. However at my recent visit the meat was thick sliced and a bit tough, the bread was toasted, not grilled, and cold sauerkraut topped the undesirable sandwich. Oh and a quick tip I noted that if you check in on yelp you can get a free kids meal with your adult meal purchase but since I did not have a kid with me I didn't use the offer. Looking at it again I could have used it for a cookie so don't forget your cookie at least it will leave you with a sweet finish. read more

I am always pleased with Jason's Deli. I love their soup and sandwiches. There are a wide variety of menu options and all I have sampled have been good. The portions are very generous and the service is generally pretty quick. Recently a group of 6 of us visited for dinner. There was a very short wait and our food came out close to the same time. We all enjoyed our meals. The chicken panini had a great pesto sauce on it that was very flavorful. A friend ordered a pasta dish and wanted some Parmesan cheese. There were no packets but the counter was nice enough to give him a little cup of shredded cheese. I also like that calories are clearly posted for those of us watching our intake. The location has dining inside & out. SalD bar is open fully stocked, fresh & delicious. You need to sanitize, put on your gloves then load up your plate with all the goodies, toppings & dressings you chose. First review on Yelp! I haven't been to this location yet, it's not close to me. They catered boxed lunches to a meeting we attended with work. I haven't seen or tasted such an impressive sandwich since moving from up north, where deli's we're all over. I chose a turkey sandwich box which included a bag of chips and a cookie. Here was my issue - there was a pack containing plastic ware, a napkin, ONE packet each of mustard and mayo. I don't eat mayo, so I tried my damnedest to make the one pack of mustard work. No dice - couldn't eat the sandwich because with the thick grain bread it was too dry to eat. I told my coworkers that were going the following day to bring their own condiments. This should have been 5 stars . I don't know if this is something our host needed to address when placing the order, but when you have a large order, please include sufficient amounts of these extras! read more

The food is always very fresh, and the service overall is good at the Crystal Lake St (SoDo) location.

Their Reuben sandwich is loaded with corn beef and sauerkraut and delicious! Asked for pickles which are already individually packed for cleanness. Great lunch and had leftovers!! I am a big fan of this chain, but this time they did not live up to their name. The place smelled like bleach and the food was bland.

Being a vegetarian, I used to love Jason's Deli for their bottomless salad bar. Apparently, at least at this location, they no longer offer unlimited salad bar trips, and expect you to pay the same price for a single trip to the salad bar. I went with a friend, and fortunately the staffer asked if we have been to Jason's Deli since the "pandemic" and since I hadn't, we were told of this change in advance before paying and decided to go elsewhere. The staff deserve 5-stars here, but if you are just going for a salad there are much better options out there. read more

Fantastic team at this location. Leadership with Steven and Sarah is really awesome. Very professional and dedicated to customer service. My Mom and I frequent at least once a week, maybe twice from the Dr Phillips area so its a drive but so worth it. We have to mention Trey the cook and of course Maria, Paolo, Roco and of course Ms Silvia who work the floor and are always all about cleanliness and customer service with a smile. My Mom is from Brooklyn NY and she says this is the closest thing to what the incredible NY deli's are about. We love this place and the food is always awesome. Jason's Deli is definitely one of my favorite places when wanting to eat healthy. I love their California Club it's on a croissant but you can change bread if you want. We also got the add on salad bar and that was such a great touch. Their salad bar is extensive and has a great variety. My boyfriend and I love adding the salad bar because it gives us additional topping for our sandwiches and gives us more food. I also love their cornbread and ice cream included with purchase. The menu here is very diverse. You can always order something you have never tried before even if you frequent here! I recommend the managers special, so you can get any half sandwich and a soup/salad. I love their southwest chicken chili it NEVER disappoints! I get it with onions, and cheese on top. I also have tried their panini as well as their club royale sandwich. Both are great but I think I prefer the panini. It is usually quite crowded during lunch hours so try and go maybe even at dinner time instead. Although even if it is crowded they are pretty quick with bringing your food out. I never feel like I have been waiting a long time for my food to come out. If anything you spend the most time waiting to order your food rather than getting it to your table. Whats by far the best part of Jasons??? free ice-cream machine! There is Vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. You can't go here without getting a free cone to eat there or togo. Its a must! read more

My grandma is a die-hard Jason's Deli fan (mainly because of, in her words, the "whippy" chocolate ice cream). She had been missing it since relocating to Central Florida, so I surprised her with a trip to the SODO location (about 45 minutes from where we live). Finding parking was a bit of a feat, and the parking garage we landed in had a lot of construction that created at least 2 near-miss accidents - - while this is no fault of the restaurant, I urge you to use caution! It was just after the lunch rush, and found the restaurant to be moderately busy. Placing our order was a nonissue; the employees were friendly and efficient behind the counter, but unfortunately things turned south when we tried to look for a seat. There were a few open tables, yet none of them were clean - we looked for someone to help, but had no luck and ended up busing the table ourselves. My grandma was so eager to eat the ice cream that she went and made herself a bowl before our food arrived. She took a spoonful and then put the spoon down right away, I could tell she wasn't impressed. When I asked her if everything was okay she said that the ice cream was a little gritty and not as creamy as what she was used to. When our food arrived, everything was good - presented nicely and very tasty. My mom and grandma had no complaints about the salad bar, and I was really pleased with my Zucchini Grillini and side of fruit (I love that the Jason's Deli app has a nutritional calculator - so I was able to get an accurate count of calories, protein, etc. after my modifications were made) All in all, we enjoyed our experience - but my grandma was much happier with the ice cream at Fresh Field Farms a few minutes later. I don't think I'd make a 45 minute drive here again, BUT I'd certainly consider it as an option if I were running errands in the area. I was so excited to find this location, as I use to eat Jason's Deli about once a week back home. Sadly, the memories were a lot better than the reality I found at this location. Sure, the salad bar was your standard Jason's no-frills salad bar that sticks to the basis. It has a few items that hands down beat the competition flavor wise, but the selection is paltry by comparison. The thing that disturbed me about this location was when I ordered their special soup wwas told they were out and had to make more and then watched the line cooks pull out a freezer bag to throw in the microwave. Heartbroken wouldn't begin to describe it as for some reason I thought they made their soups fresh. Upon watching however, I was not surprised, any food that came out hot came straight out the microwave. Given their prices, that's just not good business. I will say, the location is convenient, located in the swanky SODO plaza. The shopping center is clean, modern and well lit. Always a favorite for us! We were excited when this location opened last summer, and as frequent SODO shoppers, stop in once a month or so - usually on a Saturday. We've never been disappointed - with eating in or taking out. When they first opened last year, their take-out was a bit slow, but I chalked it up to them working out the bugs, and hoped they wouldn't have the same lousy, inefficient take-out service as their East Colonial store. Things seemed to improve, but admittedly, we don't order take-out too often. The eat-in, dining experience is ALWAYS good: high-quality food, someone clearing tables, and help if we need it. It's always busy when we're there, so it's noisy in the cavernous dining room, but that's okay once in a while. (sort of) Better acoustics would make it a more enjoyable experience, to be sure. Noisyy kids (frequent) are just not for us! (We're DINKS... or dorks, whichever you prefer.. LOL) Definitely worth a try! Great for lunch or a light dinner. read more

When I'm in the SODO plaza and I'm feeling hungry I almost always go to Jason's Deli. Sandwiched, wraps, soups, salads, they've got all your standard lunch items. I usually get the manager's special which is half a sandwich and a cup of soup or a one time visit to the salad bar. The salad bar actually has a lot of great options and isn't limited to your boring leafy greens and two or three toppings. The green dressing is my favorite! Papa Joe is my go-to sandwich but they just added Shelly's Deli which is my new favorite. If the weather is nice enough I sit outside and enjoy my free ice cream :)! read more

I use to love Jason's. I have eaten here a lot. I worked down the street since it opened. This was the worse experience. Most things on the salad bar just didn't taste good. The muffuletta was so oily that we were not able to eat it. It wasn't a problem that the AC was not working, it was actually nice outside. The young lady that took our order was not polite or friendly. We met her again as my daughter and I were making our salad. She came up and was making 2 to go salads. As my daughter slide her container, this woman was sliding her tray right up to my daughter making her feel uncomfortable. I went inside to get a container for my soup and asked the cashier who the manager was and she pointed to the man behind her. He looked at me twice, then brought food to the table next to us and never asked if we were ok or needed anything. Now I talk about how I use to love Jason's and why I no longer do. read more
