I'm telling you, you can't go wrong with this place. Their food is always fresh and delicious. I was craving a baked potato and this potato I received was massive I was able to have it for lunch, dinner and more. But it was well worth it for real.

The jury's out on this deli case. The evidence: The restaurant has a strange layout. No signs indicated where to order. Decent pricing. Adequate portions and food. They give you a number and bring your food to the table. The witnesses: My friend and myself. The testimony: Once we found our way to the counter, a chipper young lady cheerfully took our order. We got the "pick two", 1/2 a sandwich each with fruit and chips. Slid into a booth, awaited our food. The baby wipes I carry in my purse came in handy to clean the table. Our food came out fairly quickly, by a nice lady, but our order was missing the fruit. I had to go back up and get it. The ham and cheese croissant was tasty and satisfying. The fruit was fresh and came with a dipping sauce. The turkey wrap, not so great. The complaint: While eating a "busboy" wheeled a huge black cart around the restaurant, collecting plates and trash. No receptacles are found at the exits like most restaurants. So customers have to look at stacks of dirty plates and garbage being pushed around in a unsightly monstrosity as they are eating their meal. Once the busboy parked the cart right in front of the salad bar. Very unappetizing. I object! The restrooms needed attention as well. The plea: They may want to cut a deal. Guilty on the charge of untidiness, but as far as price gouging and poor service, they are innocent. The verdict: Falls short in their execution of a business model. I find that they are striving to rival Panera, but miss the mark. Due to the helpful staff, this place is sentenced to another chance. Should they clean up their act this matter may be moot. In the meantime, they may appeal to a further review. Case is still being deliberated.

Jason's is usually a solid option for most of the food they provide. They have good options for COVID with their ap and curbside. The pickles are great and their baked potatoes are spectacular.

There were only a couple of tables available, but they were clearly well staffed. We were greeted immediately at the door, and it was obvious there were multiple managers on the floor making sure everything was running smoothly. The ambiance struck the perfect balance--upscale yet approachable. It felt polished without being stuffy or overly formal. The lighting was just right, creating a comfortable atmosphere for dinner, and they offered a nice selection of beverages and cocktails. The food absolutely delivered. My friend ordered the Cobb salad with fried chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked and lightly breaded--not overly heavy at all. His only suggestion would be swapping the mustard-based dressing for something brighter, like a lemon or citrus vinaigrette, since it competed a bit with the blue cheese crumbles. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with shrimp, and it was fantastic. A small detail that made a surprisingly big impression: the shrimp tails had already been removed! It's such a simple thing, but not having to stop and pick tails off while eating made the meal that much more enjoyable. The dish was perfectly balanced and delicious exactly as served--I wouldn't change a thing. My martini was also expertly made. No notes there either. The restaurant attracted a friendly, well-dressed crowd, adding to the overall experience without feeling pretentious. It's also easy to find, located on the corner of the shopping center with Trader Joe's and Planet Fitness. Granite Grill exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely be back. Great food, attentive service, an inviting atmosphere, and excellent attention to detail. Highly recommended.

It's a beautiful space and very quiet while we were there which was important to my party. Everyone was very happy with their starters and meals. We ordered the Beet Salad, hush puppies and a few side salads to start. Main dishes ordered were the Mediterranean salad - my uncle practically licked the plate, the Hanger steak was perfectly cooked as were the crab cakes and burger. I had the salmon salad and it was the perfect size. The lemon dressing was delicious too...not too tart. We finished with the brownie sundae and it was so good. The perfect ending. Service was fantastic and very attentive. We were well cared for.

We started by sharing a hot Mezze platter that included falafel, beef kibbeh, cheese rolls, brussel sprouts, and house-made pickles. For the our main course I had the beef shawarma wrap and my friend had the chicken shawarma wrap. Both were delicious as were the Za'atar fries. The wraps are large enough that we were each able to bring home a half of our wraps and fries. We learned on our visit that Natalie's has a new owner. We had selected Natalie's because they "believe in building and strengthening communities by creating spaces where people of all abilities can thrive and grow in the workplace." I hope the new owner will continue this mission.

It included felafel, cheese rolls, and Brussels sprouts. I'm not a big felafel fan but loved the other 2 items. We subbed the beef kibbeh for muhammara and I'm so glad we did. It's something neither of us had tasted before - roasted red pepper dip with walnuts, pomegranate & Aleppo pepper - WOW! The house made pitas served as a great base for the dip. For our entree, we ordered the seared halloumi to share. Instead of giving us a single plate, they gave we us two beautiful plates - surely enough to have been a full entree each. The rice, grilled vegetables, and halloumi with pomegranate molasses were artfully arranged and absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared the pistachio creme brûlée which was lovely. The other desserts sounded amazing, so we'll definitely be back.

Northerners pay attention…read more.. The pizza here is as good as it gets in Richmond. One bite and I was transported back to Brooklyn and the endless string of afternoon visits to my neighborhood pizza place. The pie was hot, cheesy, oily, and the crust, oh that crust! The pizza at Galley-To-Go is a trip back in time. Speaking of time, you will spend some here if you are planning to enjoy a pizza. Average waits for a pizza are at a half hour, but on a weekend evening, you can easily wait double that time. I don't mind waiting for good food, but I think the staff needs to be educated in being able to remind or even warn potential guests (especially first-timers) that their early night may become compromised, or if you have small children, you may do better in their regular "Galley" restaurant just a door away. The back-story behind how this transformed Asian restaurant became an RVA pizza mecca is intriguing and quite involved, but the short version is a New Jersey native who worked for the owners of the Galley named Guistino Riccio brought his family recipes to the Galley's managers, and they were immediately sold. When they transformed the former Mandarin Palace restaurant (the name still sits above the restaurant's doorway, as do other relics that remind you of the space's previous tenants), they put pizza ovens in the kitchen and a neon sign offering "Guistino's Pizza" over the kitchen entrance. Local legend says the owners are still arguing over the name of the "Galley to Go" space (part coffee shop, part grocery store, part cafe), but who cares if the pizza is this good. Well, you might if you want to get in and get out in a hurry (so order ahead, many do), OR if you want to adjust your pizza toppings. No substitutions for the varieties of pizza are permitted (a little concerning if your allergy requires a vegan pizza, which they offer but no protein is on it). So if you are willing to live with the potentially long waits, the small pizza oven capacities (we were told a 20-pie limit at any given time, so if there is a big to-go order, well, just enjoy your beverage SLOWLY while you wait), and the rigidity of the pizza menu (there are other menu items besides pizza but they are not the main draw here...) the Galley to Go may be your RVA pizza destination for a long time to come. I had the second half my pie the next day reheated, and it was just as good as my first bite, a sign that whatever they do in that kitchen, although a labor of love and long waits, is worth its weight in gold.
