I eat here 1-2 times a week. It's my favorite lunch spot in Bell County. The front end managers are always on the ball. Hustling to take care of things. Ordered my food online, pulled up to curbside, called in for them to bring my food out when it's ready. They said ok, we're working on it, the guy walks outside just to tell me that I have to come INSIDE to get my food, that was left sitting on a table in the corner instead of just BRINGING my food when he was ALREADY OUTSIDE! ‍‍ terrible customer service. Great location! Unique interior layout, different than any other I've ever been to! Nice staff, engaged in light conversation about the store, and being a concept store. Another associate tending to the salad bar wished a nice evening as I was exiting. Sandwich was packed full of meat, although my extra lettuce was in a bag for me to add, oddly, but no big deal. We went to the Jason's Deli in Temple Texas. One of my favorite meals has been the all you can eat salad bar and cup of soup. Salad bar "all you can eat" consisted of the regular salad bowl and a small saucer size plate. They don't carry Onion Soup and had no Chicken Tortilla soup. The salad bar did not have a great selection. The ready made salads had little to no flavor. No small cups are offered for ice cream. At least the ice cream machine worked - plus. Their gingerbread muffins are still very good and they still offer a good selection of crackers and their garlic toast is still pretty good. The servers were very polite and friendly and refilled items as needed. In my opinion, Jason's is out for $$$ and not the customer. Their food quality has gone w-a-y down. Will probably not return to this Jason's Deli. That is sad as there are few places like this in Temple. Before 20/20, it was a favorite. Not anymore. Ordered take out order of a turkey sandwich with spinach, tomato and onion on whole grain bread. When I opened the bag, once I returned to my apartment about 8 minutes later, the sandwich was soggy. I ordered the salad bar with the Jason's pasta salad on the side, along with the hummus and potato salad- none were on the salad! First of all... walk in well after lunch crowd gone and there are still many dirty tables... then I order and the girl gives me a dirty tray. I make a comment about wanting a clean tray and she gives me another one that isn't much cleaner. I order soup and salad bar. The salad bar was well stocked and clean. This past Saturday, we were visiting family in Belton and decided to have Jason's Deli for lunch. We drove in to Temple to pick up the food. My roast beef sandwich was stone cold. The sourdough bread started falling apart the minute I picked it up. I took a bite and was reminded of the pre-packed sandwiches you can find at HEB. The tomatoes and lettuce were bland, I could barely taste the cheese, there was more mustard than mayo, and I couldn't even tell the meat was roast beef. The flavors were seriously lacking. The best part of the meal, honestly, was the pickle. Crispy and juicy, it was the only thing that had real flavor Even the Lays potato chips were mediocre. It did fill me up, so kudos for that. VERY disappointed! I've been to Jason's in 5 different states and this was the worse service I've ever had. Cook staff was very slow, cashier took our order and got the sandwich order wrong. I had to stand in line to get it corrected. Neither time in line were we given our plates for the salad bar (which was on our original order) waited approximately 10 minutes - then noticed other diners getting salad when we were there before them. Went back to the cashier waiting in line a third time to be told " oh I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you to pick them up." So I recently began working at a store around the corner from Jason's Deli and have been grabbing lunch there a few times a week. The service and food have both been amazing, until today. I placed my typical order on the app and went to pick it up. It wasn't quite ready so I grabbed my cup and went to grab some iced tea, whereupon someone yells at me from across the room "Sir! Did you pay for that drink?" So I have gone back on days where I have bought food there to get a refill of tea, but ONLY days where I have bought food and a new drink. I've never ventured off the salad bar , but today I did. I ate the taco salad, it was very good! The only recommendation I would give you on the taco salad is to ask for the chili on the side . Once you get to the bottom it is saturated , leaving the chips and salad soggy. read more

I very seldom come to Jason's deli & today I was reminded of why. I have been hungry for a baked potato. Got the Pollo Mexicano Baked potato. Really neat restaurant! Atmosphere is almost as important to me as the quality of the food. And this store is really cool. There's lots of little nooks as well as big tables where you can eat. The salad bar, drinks section, and ice cream machine are in three different places eliminating crowding that is often found at other Jason's Delis. Everything is clean. The place looks great, including the bathrooms. Employees seemed to be on the ball. The food was exactly what I expected. No different from any other Jason's. I placed order during Lunch hour at approx. 1215pm with what I thought was a manager or higher up Male. I assumed he could hear and understand me because he didn't ask me to repeat myself or ask me any questions about the order I placed. Never again! Every time I would go here I always felt like I was paying a high price for not so great food, well our delivery order cemented it-never eating here again. It was a rainy day in temple, tx, and my office decided to order in. I submitted our $60 order online and we waited until the end of our delivery window (12:30-1 for an order submitted ~11:15) to call and check. The girl I reached at the restaurant sleepily said "oh yeah, our online order system has been down because of the rain, we just got your order, it'll be about 30 minutes" I left her on hold so I could ask around the 7 ppl that ordered if they would still like to wait. We decided 30 more minutes would be okay. I waited until 1:40 to call back again to check on our food. I was told that the food was ready, but that the delivery drivers were stuck in traffic and it would be on the way out soon. At 1:50 I called back to let them know we would just be picking it up, I was reassured again that it was ready. When my coworker and her husband got there, our order was not ready. They had to ASK for a drink while they waited, and at checkout, had to ASK to make sure the delivery charge and the tip specified on the online order was not included. No other discounts or coupons were offered by the Jason's staff. Finally, we all had our food. Wait--we ordered 3 drinks that were not included. I called the restaurant, had to wait while the manager came over to refund the drinks, never once was offered any kind of concession or apology from the manager. The apologies I did get from the employees were lackluster and without meaning. So....never again!!! Mccallister's is way better anyway. read more

This place has it all. A great menu full of organic and gluten free items. An amazing salad bar. Friendly knowledgeable staff, with a clean and comfortable atmosphere. I used a birthday coupon and added a cup of broccoli soup. I have to say this is by far the best Jason's Deli in Central Texas. The staff was fast and accurate with my specific sandwich. The woman taking my order was amiable and polite the entire time. I haven't been stunned by customer service in a long time and it's safe to say Jason's Deli has restored my faith in humanity. I highly recommend this location and even though the parking lot and surrounding area is a pain to park and travel through the trip is definitely worth a re-visit. FIVE STARS! read more

I really enjoyed this place. They offer a wide variety of items so I feel comfortable coming back and bringing my picky boyfriend. They offer free ice cream, not a fan of ice cream, but I thought it was a neat little gesture. I'm sure if I was craving something sweet it would hit the spot.
