Wow! I had an amazing experience at Little Fib today with the bartender, Amanda. She recommended an incredible modification to the items I ordered which Little FIB should incorporate in the menu. This is a great option if you want a good meal but don't want to leave the hotel, or need something a little more tame to balance out your broad street adventures. We went for burger week and also ordered the brussel sprouts. The burger was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The brussel sprouts were definitely spicy but the goat cheese cut that and the bacon was a perfect amount of smokey. The staff was on point. I don't think our water glass went below 3/4. The hostess was so sweet and so was my server. The menu was simple and had great options. Had out of town guests staying at the Renaissance Hotel and I am glad they did cause this place was great! The mac and cheese was fantastic, the pork rinds really gave it a good crunch. It was so delicious and I finished every bite. They have a super cool wall full of Johnny Cash photos from when he was young. Another perk, Thursdays-Sundays (I believe), from 5-6 PM there are free cocktails if you show your ID. The restaurant chooses which cocktail to have for free that day. It was pretty cool. The Little Fib breakfast, two eggs, smashed breakfast potatoes, breakfast meat (your choice) and toast plus bottomless coffee is fulfilling, taste great, and is a good cost. The smashed breakfast potatoes were the surprise. Fingerling potatoes, thrice cooked, smashed and then lightly heated/fried on a flat top. Excellent. If I could give zero stars I would. Made reservations with friends while all of us are in from hours away. We were greeted by the hostess asking what room we were staying in over and over again after explaining we weren't staying in the hotel and that I booked it on the OpenTable app. We were seated with confusion and greeted by a hostess who was incredibly rude with us in the efforts I believe in making us leave. We were staying at the attached hotel and ate here one evening. It was much better than I expected from hotel food. Firstly, the atmosphere is the restaurant was pretty cool. A variety of seating options form couches and, bar seating, standard seating and lounge seating style. They have done a really nice job redecorating from when I stayed at this hotel many many years ago. Service was a bit slow and they didn't have one item I wanted (potato dumplings) but that's pretty par for the course these days. Dan had a burger and I had about a fourth of it. It was delicious. This is the lobby bar inside the Renaissance Hotel. I visited several times shortly after they had reopened after the covid lockdowns, and at the time they had limited hours and food offerings. As you might expect from a hotel restaurant, they have an ok food selection, I got the "taste of summer" flatbread which was a different combination of toppings than I'd ever had before a corn kernels, tomatoes, bacon, and ranch dressing. I'm not sure if I would order it again, but I'm glad I at least tried it. I'm a beer guy, and while they didn't have the biggest selection of beer while I was there, they at least had a few local choices. Definitely a bigger selection of mixed drinks. I think this place is fine if you want a relatively low key night at your hotel, but if you're feeling adventurous, you may be best to walk a block over to Broadway. read more

So, if you're tired and hungry in the hotel, and don't want to head out, I recommend this place. It's got decent food. The shaved pork sandwich I had was yummy, but the best was the sweet potato waffle fries. They were really good, not over fried or dry like I often get with sweet potato fries. They were open on Christmas Day and we didn't need a reservation. Also, they were around the corner from where we were staying. The service was outstanding on Christmas Day! Thank you for the cookies! Chicken Wings: They were supposedly hot wings and my GF doesn't like spice so we got the sauce on the side. The chicken wings were crunchy and flavorful on their own. I added some sauce on my wings but there wasn't anything hot about it. The wings were so good we got another order. Cornbread Medallions: Yes, these were the truth! Delicious, warm cornbread with honey butter. Lemon Pepper Fries: They were good but didn't actually taste like Lemon Pepper. I can't say what they tasted like for sure but definitely wasn't lemon pepper. I don't like lemon pepper and I wasn't going to order them because of that but I'm glad I did. They should rename them! Drinks are $17 so I skipped the cocktails and ordered High Noon instead. My GF is still talking about the wings!! read more

Overall ... little fib is EXACTLY what their name means... Bad food, menu wasn't true to what they have and we ordered a beer and gave us a different version of it (that wasn't what we wanted and what the menu states), And the service was the worst of it all. The server was non-existent. Took our order and just disappeared. Our beverages took 20 minutes and was brought out by someone else , not the server. He only Came back when food was brought out and then gone again. Once again, Server never came back...until he dropped the check. Server never cleared the dishes or glassware off the table at all during the dinner service. Never refilled our drinks. It was just an overall BAD experience. We spoke to 2 managers (one female / one male). Neither did anything for us (not like we were asking for anything anyways). But overall... server was just lost. Seemed he had no idea what he was doing or he wasn't trained at all. And for a Saturday night that wasn't busy around 7/730pm, we should have had such terrible experience. For our first time to Nashville and our first dining experience in town.... What a disaster. Just pass on this place. read more

Nice little place that was quite easy getting a table on a Saturday night in downtown Nashville which is a rarity, for sure. We started with a couple of appetizers of Cornbread Madelines and Jalepeno drop biscuits. The standouts were the Madelines with their pats of butter drizzled with honey. There is only one for each person at the table, so order two of them if you are hungry. Each of us ordered something different so we could try out the menu. Our server recommended the grilled salmon, thus, my choice was made immediately. You cannot go wrong if fish is your favorite. It was perfectly cooked and accompanied with a winter salad and white rice. My fellow diners chose beef stroganoff and the meat loaf. Both of those dishes were rather rich, yet delicious. We ended our meal with cappuccinos and cookie dough. That's right... one of the dessert choices is flat out cookie dough (which my mom never let me have growing up). Please understand that this one dessert is perfect for the whole table. If anyone can eat the whole thing, well.... Hats off to you! Its overly sweet taste was not my thing, but the others enjoyed themselves immensely. After watching the Broadway show Hamilton, Little Fib put a nice touch on an already amazing night. read more

Had a very good dinner at Little Fib last night. We dined early and the restaurant was very empty but our waiter, Jackson, was attentive and provided very good feedback about several of the dishes on the menu. The cheesy tater tots were delicious. We also tried the fried green tomatoes were good but I would prefer a slightly thicker tomato slice for this dish. Our entrees were the port chop which was out of this world - it was moist and very tender. It was a bit on the salty side - perhaps from brining but never the less it was yummy. I ordered the Little Fib burger which was one of the specials and the burger was cooked perfectly medium rare with a savory barbecue sauce and toppings. While I'm usually hesitant eating in a hotel restaurant, I definitely recommend this restaurant for those who are in town visiting. read more

Went to little fun tonight. This is a restaurant and bar located inside of the beautiful Renaissance Hotel. Parking isn't as easily accessible as you would think since it's a busy hotel and it's located in downtown Nashville. You're able to find it just give yourself time. There is a garage across the street but some streets are one way only so you may have to circle around the block. The ambiance and vibe are relaxed and the decor is very pretty! The charred green bean salad was delicious! The meatloaf sliders are a little dry, I wouldn't suggest them. The strawberry salad was good too. As for drinks I would highly suggest the "I fib you not" cocktail. It's a whiskey (or bourbon) drink with a smoked flavor, fresh blackberries and a blackberry syrup! So yummy! Check the place out. Everyone was very nice. For a Saturday midday it seemed empty. One person in my party ordered the pork belly. When it came out it was not crispy as the menu indicated and impossible to eat. The burger I ordered was mediocre and not worth the cost. I've had better for cheaper. The fries were advertised as lemon pepper but my party of 3 agreed it was actually more sour cream and onion flavored. The menu seems to shoot for a bar higher than the kitchen can land. I suspect the restaurant would do better with a simpler menu. read more

I enjoyed the cornbread madeleines and drop biscuits. Our waiter recommended the smoked chicken entree, so I got that. While the flavor was nice and smoky, it said half-chicken but was more just a thigh and leg -- so there wasn't as much meat as I thought. Others enjoyed their salmon and steak entrees.
