My car was in a hit-and-run a few months ago so I needed some repairs done. After multiple quotes with wide ranges, ranging from $1300 to $3500, I was at a loss. Those huge differences made me hella skeptical about body shops, especially those at the higher end - $2,200 difference. In the end, I went with JAT Auto Body via my dad's recommendation. David was helpful and gave me an excellent quote that is even lower than the lowest quote I got before. Quite honestly, I'm a bit skeptical. At that low price, will I be getting a shoddy job? Well, for the price I paid, I think JAT did the best they could. I got my bumper replaced and got places buffed. I don't have a lot of complaints. I'm not much of a car person. As long as they can repair it to make it look 90-99% pre-accident, I'm pretty satisfied. Other shops said that for my repairs it'll probably have to be in the shop for 5 business days. David's like "just bring it in the morning and I'll get it done for you within a day." He wasn't joking. I left the car at 8:30am when they opened and he gave me a call at 5pm, same day, telling me that my car is ready. Again, for the price and how quickly I got serviced (money saved on rental), I can't complain even if they can't get my car to brand spanking new. David knows English, but it's not that great over the telephone. When I called to asked if I can take my car in, he just kept going, "What?" I thought I dialed the wrong number. I switched to Cantonese and that made the conversation go smoother. Hopefully you speak either Cantonese/Mandarin or know someone who does. If not, just go in in-person. UPDATE: So the day I picked up my car (same-day service!) I noticed some areas didn't get fixed all the way. At first I didn't pay much heed since the price I paid was below $1,000 when everywhere else quoted me upwards of $1300. I just asked David if anything can be done to improve it. David said just bring it back tomorrow and we'll see what the auto tech can do since he had already left for the day. I took my car back to JAT the next morning and holy crap! They managed to buff out my bumper and fixed some scratches. Now my car looks almost like I first drove it off the lot when I first bought my car! read more

I was highly recommended by my friend to give this auto shop a try because of the great results my friend had with their car. Not sure if it was because I had high hopes or not but the results I received was just okay. David, the owner, told me initially he would replace my parts with new parts because it was the better option. He told me if I was just to remold my skin it would cause problems. I trusted David with his opinion and left my car in his care. David told me it would only take 5 business days to fix my car. I handed my car to him on a Monday, he told me it would be done Saturday. When I called Saturday, he told there was a delay and that it would be done next Wednesday. I wasn't in a rush to get my car back so I had no problem with picking it up Wednesday. However, when I called in Wednesday, he told me the job will be done Saturday. I finally picked up my car that Saturday after waiting 11 business day instead of the 5 he had initially told me. When I picked up my car David told me he didn't replace the parts with new ones. Instead he remolded and did a paint job instead. I was a bit confused, initially he told me it was "better to replace with new part" now instead of doing that, he told me he just refurnished the part and it would be okay, good as new. I tested the door and it okay, no trouble, but to have him told me initially he would replace the part because it would be better... I'm not so sure if I can trust David again. I think he might have been trying to make a bigger gain initially but things happened and things got delayed so he figured it would be too much trouble at the end. As I was giving a second check on the job I noticed a couple of scratches on my bumper that wasn't polished up yet. He had his employee quickly fix that while I was paying him. I made the mistake of just checking the exterior of my car. When I arrived home I noticed David's employee had did a couple of minor damage to the interior of my car. The cushion the lined the exterior of my passenger door was ripped, scratches were done on my leather counters, a plastic screw was chipped and rendered useless, and if I look carefully on the side of my door there was still a slight bump that was not fixed. The bump was so small I figured his employee have overlooked it... After noticing all this, I gave a big sigh... I wouldn't recommend David unless you really tight on money. He charges a smaller fee then most auto shop, but at a cost. Please seek David at your own risk. read more

I simply like this place because it overcharges me. I would say that but that is not the case. I have matched the prices and quality of this place to many body shops but this place is probably and most definitely the best yet. I've been very busy so I normally don't have time to do reviews anymore. But this place gave me that extra urge and push to do so. Whenever there is a problem, I would always come to this place first for over 3 years. Have recommended this place to family and friends and they have agreed its the best yet. So I returned back here today, with Lamborghini door (aka window got jammed) and need urgent fix right before closing hours. Made a few jokes with the Boss (David) who is an honest and funny guy. His workers (esp Gonzales I believe) are super hard and fast workers. They were able to squeeze in time when they were busy and fixed my window without charge. *I believe most body and auto parts come with a one year warranty.* In return, I even tipped the worker for the great service. A+ I hope I don't return again, but if i do just for visits. read more

Wasn't too great as Yelp reviews have said it to be. for the repairs on my car. There are a few things I would like to address. Having to fix my front left fender and my front bumper due to a car accident. The paint was nice but the fix was questionable. 1) There was an inch gap in between my bumper and my headlamp which had the weathering strip to fall off after the drive home. They didn't replace the bumper nor fender but just repaired the damages. 2) another thing was that my car was dirty before hand and as they washed it they left some sort of a white solution on my rims that they did not rinse off. Furthermore, finding footprints of the white solution all over the floor(without proper floor mats) and glove compartment. 3) Paying 400$ I'd expect the fix to be looking brand new. But the one thing has made me most concern for is my car battery. Before bringing the car to the shop my car battery would not have an issue starting up. Specially on a cold start it would be an immediate start. After the repair of about one week my battery was completely dead. Going there they had the jump start it and driving home my radio, dash, headlights, brake lights, anything electrical was really dim that they couldn't be seen much by my friend that helped me get my car.. Later that day made me buy another 100$ battery... Not sure if they left my lights on or what but I more than positive that the battery in my car wouldn't have an issue starting up after a week of not using it. read more

Really great auto shop, my fiance's family has been coming here for years and we both each had a scuffle with our cars. When we took our cars here, David the owner was super nice and flexible. He was very reasonably priced and stayed late after hours so we could pickup our car even with our crazy work schedule. This weekend I dislodged my rear bumper (is that the right term?) and david screwed it back on for me for free - looks like new. I guess this place only takes big cases. My automatic car door didn't work so I needed a replacement or some sort. Had a business card for this place and seeing nice reviews on Yelp, I came here. Firstly i called the shop twice, noone answered. I called the boss ' phone (David), did not answer either. So i went there, and talked to an employee. He was busy so that was when David showed up, still talked on the phone while talking to me at the same time. When he's done, he right then looked at the employee and chuckled "what is this, what, just a door! Haha". The employee then asked me to choose between "original" replacement and "auto market" (cheaper one, obviously). My car is an old model and used, so i thought the auto market one would work fine, since he told me it could last like 3 years. When i made my choice, he just looked annoyed, and left. And I also asked David to check a weird noise the car makes every time I drove. Right then he told me "my worker is busy right now, he's good but he's very busy, so I'll send u to another shop, ok?" I asked him "oh, it's another shop of yours?". He chuckled "no, different owner". I mean, fine. If they need more expensive cases, it's their business. I am not cheap, i just wanna spend money wisely. That was kinda rude. I wanted to give 5 stars like everyone else but I wasn't lucky enough to experience good they were lol. I highly recommend this Auto body shop. The owner is extremely kind and they did a wonderful job. I'm always running into things,,, sidewalks, trash cans, orange cones. Needless to say, I seem to need more body work than the average person. JAT's prices are extremely fair and more than that he even did a minor repair- screwed the thing that covers the bottom of your car- back on for free. Last time I destroyed that part the dealer charged me $500 to replace it. This is my new body shop. They are GREAT! You won't be ripped off! read more
