I've been coming here pretty frequently since my last review and it's genuinely one of my favorite places. I've tried a lot of items on their menu, it's kind of crazy looking through my photos. Anything with hash browns and fries are amazing. My favorites are the sloppy java hero and atlas hero. Their coffee is pretty good too especially the einspanner if you like a strong coffee drink. The staff there are always super welcoming and friendly! It does get a little busy there on the weekends but I've never had too much trouble finding seats since people tend to be in and out pretty fast.
We stopped here for breakfast and we had a decent experience. We ordered 2 bagel sandwiches and an espresso and a hazelnut latte (I asked the waitress for a latte that is not too sweet). We were very pleased with our drink but slightly less pleased with the sandwiches as the bagels were a little dry. However, everything seemed fresh. Service was good and the staff was friendly. The place was cute.
Came here at suggestion of my wife-and for once I listened. Java Day is what North Flushing/Murray Hill lacked when I grew up here: A really good place to sit and eat in a non-rushed atmosphere. Menu is fairly extensive, good delicious and service is excellent. A very welcoming staff make you feel at home. (The coffee is outstanding)
Stopped in this little spot for a quick breakfast and it really hit the spot. It's owned by a couple who work together and the food is delicious. The ambiance is nothing special your regular Queens deli vibe. The service was fast and pricing good. Definitely give them a shot if you are in the area.
First time here and won't be last! Traveled from Nassau County to eat some breakfast with kids & wife. Food was amazing, we ordered BEC,SEC, & French Toast with fresh fruits. Coffee we got a hot and iced latte and they were both delicious. Service was top notch and they really helped with our accommodation with us 5. I liked their design of the place and signs hung around the restaurant. Highly recommend!
I found Java Day Cafe while out in Queens this past Monday. I had a few hours to kill in between meetings and was looking for a cafe to WFH. At the owners recommendation, I ordered The Frenchie, as well as two hash browns (hey don't judge, I was starvin marvin!). The Frenchie consisted of 2 pieces of delicious cinnamon french toast with sausage, egg and cheese nestled inside. I washed it down with a delicious large coffee with almond milk. I chose a table by the window, which had 2 outlets below, so I was able plug away on my laptop and enjoy my food, with no low battery stress. I ended up having three coffees during my stint there and lucky for me, their bathroom was super spacious and clean... love that! All in all, happy to have stumbled upon this awesome Flushing/Auburndale gem!
This is my 2nd time back (should be more). The ambiance and the workers are great. They really care about what they do and it shows. Coming back this second time, I could see how much busier they are. Always love seeing places thrive! It's for a great reason. Everything you get here will hit the spot! The spinach and mushroom omelette was so good and not greasy at all. The hhoommeee frriiesssss is a must!!!! Even the toast was perfect with the right amount of butter.
This is a breakfast cafe where u can sit and dine and has a wide variety on the menu. We got the frenchy and the hungry man sandwiches. Both sandwiches were really good and great prices! The frenchy had French toast as the bread which gave it a great sweetest to the overall savory sandwich. While the hungryman was big, filling and savory. Overall, I would come back to try all the different things on the menu. This has become one of my go to spot for breakfast around the area. Service was fast and friendly.
Java Day Cafe does have great food but I've had better in both aspects. However, I do feel like if both food items (especially the French toast) was hot, it would've been a lot better but unfortunately that's not feasible with delivery (not their fault, obviously). I had the chopped cheese and the strawberry cream French toast. The chopped cheese was great but had a little too much lettuce and less spice to my liking, however I'm sure the latter is adjustable. The strawberry cream cheese French toast was not super sweet and really great but there wasn't as much cream cheese as I would've liked inside the French toast. I would try Java Day Cafe again except for an in person brunch this time around.
Hubby and I were heading to our favorite breakfast place on foot. While walking along Northern Blvd we passed Java Day and paused to look at their menu taped on the storefront window. "Let's try this place". Friendly peeps runnin' this cute quaint cafe. Hubby enjoyed his breakfast sandwich and I LOVED my veggie omelet. I'm one to watch what I eat and this omelet was made just like I would have made it at home.. no salt or grease. Plain eggs and veggies. Whole wheat toast and an all time favorite 'tater tots' as my guilty pleasure side starch. Would definitely return Great job kids!
Casual cafe, extensive menu. Staff is very friendly. Great place for breakfast, slows down around 10. They can make you pretty much anything you want. I had a chicken club with hash browns , which is not on the menu. My friend had the California omelette with home fries which was delicious. Full coffee menu, smoothies available as well. Metered parking in front. Perfect spot for a quick, casual bite.

I found this place based on other Yelp reviews. I was in the neighborhood & craving a hearty breakfast that wasn't ihop. I was absolutely amazed at the quality, portions, & menu. They have a wonderful variety of breakfast staples such as bagels, egg/ meat platters, avocado toast variations, French toast , pancakes & more. I ordered a prosciutto avocado toast, French toast, bacon egg & cheese on a roll, & an egg avocado toast. The food was packed it flavor , fresh , and cooked to perfection. I can't recommended this place enough. The staff was friendly & the establishment was clean. It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of spot but worth the visit ! You will not be disappointed. read more

Service 10/10 - the woman that took our order was super nice and the servers were on point. We ordered the breakfast quesadilla and hashbrown wrap - both were really good! They unfortunately ran out of home fries and tater tots, so opted for French fries which were still a good choice. Overall really good, a very cute place with great service, so we will be back! read more

This was the 6. B3 . Just egg whites and Turkey bacon. Opened this up at home and theres black stringy stuff? Completely grossed out. UPDATE 8/6/22: Diana reached out to me immediately after my review to apologize and compensate for the inconvenience. Any business can make a mistake but that's where customer service is important and Diana made me feel like I was a valued customer. I'll be visiting again! read more

As a person who doesn't usually like American breakfast, it's crazy to think that Java Day could make me crave their breakfast menu so much!! My go-tos are Ginger Peach Iced Tea w/ honey & their California omelet platter!! Their staff are also super friendly. Only downside is that they close at 4 pm :( but if you're a morning/ working person, they open at 6 AM! read more

Food was meh but the service was good. The bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon was the best. The hamburger with gravy, cheese, mushroom, and onion rings was well done and dry (I asked for medium) and not flavorful. The fries were good. The grilled chicken with mozzarella, prosciutto had dry chicken and didn't taste good. read more

Cute, Kind, Tasty The restaurant had a fair number of seats for it's size. I was quite pleased with the service that we received. It's a casual and cozy spot where you can expect what I would consider fairly traditional American breakfast. I decided to try the stuffed cream cheese strawberry French toast. While it wasn't my favorite I still appreciated it for what it was. For me it felt just a tad too sweet with the strawberry cream cheese on top of regular strawberries I needed a little more contrast. I still thought it was pretty good and ate it all up. I genuinely just appreciated the hospitality of the staff. We asked for sliced lemons and they walked over and brought some almost right away. They worked with our party size and said they would get us a table as soon as they could. They have a cute restaurant with fair prices and lovely décor. I would feel more than comfortable recommending is it as a safe option if you aren't looking for anything too crazy for breakfast. read more

My fave go-to place for grab and go. You have the options to stay in too. The management and staff are all friendly and professional. The environment is clean and organized. Their customer service is clearly on point and willing to help service you. I've ordered my faves every single time I come and get my breakfast. The lox with cream cheese and tomato on an onion bagel. So good and yummy every single time. They never disappoint me. Then I ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato. Let me start by saying the BEST Iced Macchiato! Not many places can make a really good Iced Macchiato or coffee in general. Java Day is the best and smallest gem in flushing for really good eats and beverages! read more
My go-to-heavy brunch spot! Their hash brown wrap platter is one of a kind and a must try. The combination of crispy potato crust, ham, egg, and cheese all in one bite is glory. Down with a cup of fragrant coffee, this place is my choice every time I want a casual brunch in flushing. read more
This place is one of my go to's for when I'm feeling a bit lazy and cooking is not an option. I'm glad I always choose them because they're always on point. I usually order my fave "The California" on a roll and I must say that the avocado is always so darn fresh, starting to think they have a hush hush deal with their avacado guy because not even my local supermarket has such great avocados. I also appreciate that their prices are so fair and pretty hard to beat. If you're on the hungrier side their B4 platter is filling and has all the works (Sausage, bacon, ham) it's a hungry girl or hungry man trifecta. The staff is very friendly and always super patient if you're being a slowpoke on all the options they have to offer. Give their lattes a try for a perfect addition to your meal. I'll always keep them in my heart and In my tummy when I'm deciding for a an easy going and delicious place to eat. I came by here like a week ago after going to my usual vape spot. I only stopped by here because I saw that they had bagels and they looked like they were made in-house. I ordered a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with low spread. I like the fact that it wasn't those mashed up bits of salmon in cream cheese, they actually made slices and diced it up in between the spread. Gave it a more of salmon taste. What did I not like about this bagel? A Thomas factory made cinnamon raisin bagel tasted better than the bagel from here. The bagel I had from here tasted bland and it literally only had a few speckles of raisins in them...I counted 3 raisins on the top cut of my bagel. Personally, I find this a sad excuse of a bagel. I wouldn't recommend coming here for their bagels...it was a great disappointment. read more

I found this place on yelp and decided to try it. It was well worth it. A small, cute and cozy restaurant. The guy working the register was really cool and I liked his personality. We were visiting from ATL and PA and was looking for brunch. Their food is really good and I enjoyed the energy there. My cousin had a custom breakfast sandwich that was really good. We enjoyed our time here. All our food was like $30. Good food and simple prices. read more

I almost don't want to give this place a perfect review because it is not a secret already judging from the massive lines on any weekend - from locals to police across the city. With its scrumptious varied meals to its deeply-skilled counter woman who remembers the regulars by name...you get it all and more. read more

I've been coming to Java Day since day one, before they expanded to there bigger and dare I say even better location on Northern. The food they sell is just down right lick the plate finish worthy and for their price it's no one wonder they are always busy with customers at all times. The reason that I always love returning is for Diana and her amazing staff. They literally make me feel like family. Over the years it's been such a joy to be coming and enjoying the best food as well as top quality service. My favorite go to orders are the California omelette with home fries or the hungry man or B4. My boyfriend has eaten everything under the sun of the entire menu and loved everything. I recommend this place time and time again to all my friends and family. Trust me when I say that you won't regret it. read more

One of the best breakfast spots in this area. Actually, it may be the only breakfast spot I know of around here (beside IHOP about 10 blocks down lol). When I used to live in Murray Hill, I used to visit this spot whenever I was feeling lazy enough to not cook my own food, but not lazy enough to walk a few blocks and I wanted a good breakfast. Their menu has pretty much all you'd need: breakfast sandwiches, platters, bagels, coffee, lattes and even a nice little lunch menu (I've never tried their lunch though). I think their prices may have gone up (I hadn't been here for months and just visited for the first time since then earlier this week), but still a great deal! You can get a breakfast platter that includes 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage patty, home fries and toast all for $7! Super delicious and obviously made right in front of you. Definitely recommend visiting this spot if you're around the area. All the workers are super nice and friendly, too! read more

Went here a few weeks ago on vacation for brunch. The employee was super nice in helping us decide what wanted to get. I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and hash browns. My friend had gotten the chai latte and it was actually decent even though I'm not a huge fan of chai flavored things. The inside was decorated very nicely and had a home-like feeling to it! read more

This is probably one of my new favorite breakfast gems in Queens, NY. The issue with most spots are usually the menu is too small, the quality of the food is poor or too greasy, it's located in an inconvenient space, or it's too dang expensive. This cafe is the opposite of it all and is the perfect spot for a quick bite, groups to chill and chat, or even a date. I went there looking for a breakfast spot to go with my mother since we were in the area and wanted to utilize our rare free time. The ingredients are fresh, the price is more than reasonable for the amount you receive, the cafe's decor is so relaxing and chic, and the staff above all are very friendly and genuinely helpful. There were enough seats even when it was crowded. Even if you're stopping by for a coffee and bagel/bread to go, it's fresh real coffee and pastries. Definitely a go-to breakfast spot! read more

Friendly staff and the food was pretty good. I have the lox omelette platter. The cooked the potatoes hash to the point where it has a caramelized crush (how all potatoes hash should be cooked). And the omelette wow, it was just prefect. Cooked to the point where the it was the cook just knew when too take off grilled and allow the internal heat to finished the cooking, leaving a omelette tender on the outside and just barely runny on the inside. Just to note, the amount of salmon that gave does justify the price. The ice coffee was great as well . Overall this is a solid place and they did have 3 outdoor table at this time.. read more

I got the B4 platter which consist of bacon, sausages, two eggs, a hotdog, home fries and hash browns on the side. Simple and bomb af, kind of hard to mess something this simple up lol. On the other hand, my gf got the lox bagel which was kind of weird to the both of us. We didn't think the egg mixed well with the salmon and cream cheese. To my surprise, the drinks here were very good, the caramel macchiato wasn't too watery or sweet, and the green tea latte wasn't too bitter or sweet either. Overall this place was more than good and you guys should definitely try this place out. read more

The boyfriend and I were craving a nice hefty brunch meal since we were both up early to go drop his car to get it fixed. After a failed attempt of getting IHOP for breakfast we found ourselves at Java Day Cafe. Lucky for us there was one more table left just for us. We both ordered the Custom Platter, his with ham, and mine with sausage. He also ordered the French Toast. We were definitely pleased with our order and definitely got the fulfilling meals we were hoping to get to help us get through the rest of our day ahead of us. Even the staff were very friendly and the spot itself was very chill and had some nice tunes playing in the background (including some throw back Backstreet Boys ). From the food to the service, we definitely saw why this place got really busy while we were there. We shall definitely be back to try the other goodies on their menu. read more

Does their phone work? Tried calling 5 times on a Sunday and its either busy or goes to voicemail.
They are super busy! You sometimes can get lucky on the phone but you will mostlikely have to go in person.
