I keep meaning to post pictures of my food, but I only remember once it's half eaten! Javiers is so good! Way better than Orlando's. SO MUCH BETTER. Their cheese enchiladas are perfect every time. Chicken in the fajitas is super tender and delicious. Carne asada is very flavorful and also comes with a cheese enchilada (Really, don't leave without trying the cheese enchiladas.) Fish tacos on fresh made flour tortillas are a must. And I'm not even a flour tortilla person. But they are soft and crispy at the same time which makes them too good not to get. Happy salsa is so good but sometimes it can the perfect amount of spice and sometimes it can be fire! My only complaint is I don't really like their house salsa. It tastes too much like oregano to me. But they have a few salsas to pick from so it's not even worth subtracting a star. (Cheese enchiladas!) read more

This place is definitely one of My Fav's. My Dad and I go here often and for the most part always get the same Thing (Enchiladas Mexicanas"#6") Its just Awesome-the Shredded Beef is by far the Best,always moist and juicy with tons of Flavor. I'm a Chef Myself and rarely em I impressed with most Mexican restaurants,but This one is an exception. Most the Time We do Take-out and It's always ready within 15-20min(even if their busy) The waitresses are always friendly and outgoing and willing to Answer any ?'s I may have. The chicken fajitas are incredible! The chicken is never dry and cooked just right. So many onions!!! I love onions. Love the horchata! Perfect blend of cinnamon and rice milk. The service is always top notch. The chipotle salsa at the salsa bar is a favorite. I have been coming for years and will continue to do so. read more

We like this place but their rice is for sure "Rice A Roni" unless it was just a one time emergency situation the night we got food, but even then, just say "hey we ran out of rice" cause we Americans know our Rice A Roni lol! There are much better places to go for mexican food than javiers. The beans were from a can, the rice was flavorless, the red sauce on my burrito was canned enchilada sauce, the salsa tasted like there was vinegar in it, the beef had a funky flavor, and the service was slooooow and rude. read more

Make sure you come early because the service gets slower later. They need to have a dedicated cashier not a waitress doing double duty. They could also use a dedicated bussboy clearing tables. Service suffers when you have waitresses doing both of those jobs and waiting tables. The food as always was great service not so much. read more

First off after a long drive. Me and my family decided to try Javiers authentic Mexican restaurant. me and my 10 year old both got Ill. I asked our waitress if I could speak to the owner, she said sure. Came back 5 minutes later and told us the owner was not there. I then called and was told that the owner was never there. If you are looking for freshness, do not eat hear. Out of a lifetime of eating at Mexican restaurant's, this is by far the worst one I have ever eaten at. The chips they serve are not fresh and obviously store bought because they are hard and stale. Nothing fresh at all about this place. Be warned, I would never eat here again or recommend anyone to eat here. After telling the waitress we were both feeling ill. I got carne asada that tasted like it was precooked and reheated (first red flag was that it took like 30 seconds to bring our order out). I love Mexican food and everything I had here was pretty bland and overpriced for the quality. Go to Rancherito's or Beto's for great cheap Mexican food. Go to Red Iguana if you want the best Mexican food I've had north of Tijuana. read more

Horrible experience tonight at Javier's in Farmington. When we went to order, the waiter was recommending items off the menu. He mentioned the El Senior Chimichanga, I mentioned that what my norm. He then wrote down my order. When he bought out the food, I noticed I had been given the normal chimichanga instead of the one I had ordered (different sauce). I kindly brought up my concern to the waiter, he was adamant that I got what I ordered. I tried to explain that I had ordered the El Senior chimichanga, but he would not hear it. He was more concerned about being right than fixing the situation. He kept telling me it was my error and he wrote down on the ticket what I had said. There was zero effort made to try and resolve the issue, so I was left with a plate of food I did not actual order. It made dinner extremely awkward and a frustrating experience all the way around. I have never been treated so poorly by a server in my life. I left feeling degraded and I do not plan on going back. read more

One of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. The booth was so tight we had to take turns getting in and shove the table over so the other one could. The server left two cups empty upside down and a pitcher of water, never poured it. The menu had all the extra charges like a scoop of sour cream was $2 extra, a little extra cheese was $3.99. We ordered Chile rellenos and it was supposed to be a stuffed pepper but was strips of pepper with gooey batter on one side and some unmelted cheese in cubes. The microwave apparently didn't melt it or make it hot. Asked for the manager but the hostess said there wasn't one or an assistant manager, but there was a supervisor named Hector . My husband said we were disappointed in our meals and Hector said he was glad we didn't like it! Weird! We thought repeat customers were important but Hector said he guessed he wouldn't see us again and if we were unhappy then we could call Javier. Pretty poor customer service and worse food. This is a place where the food and service are quite average at best. Water and chips with salsa are brought to the table quickly. I normally get a first impression from the salsa. It was thin and bland. The waiter brought a refill of chips to the table and informed us the salsa bar. There was a variety of salsas each different taste, color, and heat. The main dish arrived after the soda was used to extinguish the burning sensation from the salsa bar. No refill on the soda was offered. Main dish was also bland. When the check was dropped off there was still no offer for a refill. read more
