I think, like any nail shop, it can be hit or miss if you're not familiar with who does good work. I came here when they first opened and had an okay experience. My nails and feet were done pretty well, but they do seem to push Gel X and gel services even if that's not necessarily what you went in for. My most recent visit has me thinking about trying other nail shops. My bill was around $300 for myself and my daughter, and unfortunately, I didn't feel like we received $300 worth of services. We made appointments but when we arrived still waited about 10 minutes. The lady who did my pedicure, Linda, was very nice and sweet, but I was disappointed with the service, especially for a $77 pedicure. She completely skipped the massage on my right leg, barely scrubbed my feet for a couple of minutes, and didn't really push back or clean up my cuticles. My feet still felt rough afterward, and the polish was left far from my cuticles. They honestly looked like they had been done weeks ago, even though the picture was taken the same day. The steamer was also mostly pointed away from my legs or toward her, so I barely felt it. The guy who did my nails, Liam, actually did a pretty good job. He took his time and was very thorough, so I was happy with my nails. Unfortunately, my daughter's experience was not as good. The design and color were not what she asked for. She wanted black, but they came out looking brown because only one coat was applied over a brown color. She was also talked into getting Gel X when a powder ombré would have been closer to what she originally wanted. Overall, I think there are some good technicians here, but it really depends on who you get. For what we paid, I expected a much better overall experience, so we'll probably be trying some other nail shops next time. read more

I got a pedicure and was very happy with that service. Then got a manicure and asked for a full acrylic set. When I sat down the women asked if I wanted gel and not having had that before I asked what that was compared to acrylic. Instead of explaining she got up and got the nails and began sizing them. I figured it was more or less the same since she didn't say anything else. I also assumed it was around the same price. Nope! Not only was this nothing like acrylic and what I believe not done well at all, it was triple what a full set might have cost. That was an absolute shock when I went to pay. I wasn't really happy with the quality of the work done once I got home and researched what a gel set was and supposed to look like and not to my surprise my concerns were valid. So I called and was asked to come back so they could make it right only to be told once there that this is normal and when my nails grow out the gap will close. She showed me her set and they were absolutely nothing like mine and honestly what I would have expected mine to look like and I said that to her and she told me it's because her nails have grown out and now the gap has closed. That logic isn't lining up for me and I didn't want to keep going round and round. I stated at least three times I didn't like it and it's not what I wanted, but she only said they could fix if a nail broke or came off. Now on vacation, I am having to scrap and dig sand, lotion and food out of the gap between each of my nail and the poorly applied fake nail that is way to big for my nail bed but was glued on anyway. My hair is getting stuck In between and pulling it out. It's like I have press on nails done by a toddler. Very frustrating to have paid so much and now having so many problems with them. This is so disgusting, I don't know why anyone would pay for this if this is the correct way to have them done. read more

I came in today to get my nails done for my graduation, and I was scheduled with Annie. At first, everything was going great. We were making small talk, but as she was working on my nails, I noticed the thumb was very off-center, and once I got a closer look, I saw the index and pinkie fingers were off-center as well. Once she started working on my other fingers, I figured she would go back at the end to fix it, but when she looked like she was wrapping up, I spoke up and let her know it looked uneven on my right hand. She went to fix it, but it still didn't look even. She added to the French tip on my right hand, but suddenly went quiet, and her demeanor noticeably changed. She then became defensive and short with me, making comments like "Well it looks fine to me, so if it only looks off to you then there's nothing I can do." and "I am only human, humans can't recreate it to be exact." I continued to say how I totally understood that, and it didn't have to be exact by any means; it just looked uneven. I even apologized many times and kept saying how I didn't want to be a problem, but she never responded. I saw her facial expression (with her mask on) and her eyes, and she was frustrated and/or annoyed. Once we finished, she very quickly rushed me out, putting oil on my right hand and rubbing it in, but only putting it on my left, then saying to go to the front, so I had to rub it in myself (which is fine, but adding to the prior experiences, I took it the wrong way). After I got out, I called my friends and showed them, and they all agreed they did look uneven. I even went into another store, and they agreed they looked uneven. I didn't once raise my voice or change my demeanor, so I find it very unfair that once I raised a concern, I was met with continuous disrespect and defensiveness. Completely Impressed!! So. . .my birthday is coming up really soon and I wanted to start the festivities by pampering myself so, for the first time, I visited a nail shop that my friend has been raving about. I'm so glad I did!! They greeted me as soon as I stepped in the doors which is something I appreciate. After sitting down with Tina (who's amazing btw) I was offered a sparkling water. Everyone there was very kind. As for my nails, I absolutely love them. Tina did not rush like I'm used to experiencing. She took her time and you can absolutely tell. She also did my pedicure. I called and asked the salon for a refund for one pedicure, but the manager said they do not give refunds. She wanted my daughter to come in so they could check and see if she needs to go to the doctor. As a mom, let me tell you I know when my children need to go to the doctor, and I too have a cosmetology license and know what happens when tools or equipment are not properly sanitized. My favorite nail shop in Elk Grove. I'm here at least 1-2x a month for manicures and pedicures. I typically get hard gel and a spa pedicure. The spa pedicure includes the paraffin- which is a must for me. Every person that has done my nails have been incredible beyond words. What I really appreciate? They're probably the best prices Elk Grove has to offer for the quality you get. Making an appointment is easy- I always call about 30-60 mins before I arrive and rarely had an issue. Parking is nice and I love stopping by the Nugget after for a quick lunch. I will say, my only negative is that I wish I was consistently offered something to drink. Sometimes, it's not offered. For me, my pedicure and manicure experience includes mimosas. It's my monthly treat and I'm not brave enough to ask for it unless they're taking a drink order. Came here two days ago for a gel set. Nail broke the day after. They kept trying to convince me to stick to my natural nails claiming that gel will only continue to ruin my nails. Fine, I stook with my natural nails. While doing my nails, the lady kept buffing them paper thin which left them very weak and flimsy. I figured as professionals, they should know that buffing the nails for 20 minutes will make them weak and damage my nails far more than just getting gel. I decided to call today and ask for refund, understanding that refunds arent guaranteed but whoever answered the call was not very nice. So I have been going to this salon for about a year now and today was by far the worst experience I have encountered here my apt was at 4pm I set this appointment yesterday I called the salon at 3:52 to let them know I was down the street on Elk Grove it was heavy traffic and I might be 5 min late when I called I was told by the owner that my nail tech had just left due to her son being sick and that she had someone that was going to take good care of me I didn't have an issue with that even tho I have been going to the same lady for the entire time I got there at 4:02 I set down the lady Tiffany did my nails they were ok nothing like Tina tho still I was patient I had decided I now wanted a pedicure on my way to the pedicure chair who do I see doing someone else's feet Tina the lady that was supposedly gone cause her son was sick so now I'm looking confused still being patient I went to sit down a guy I never seen before started my feet from the start I knew this was still going in the wrong direction he wasn't doing my feet at all he was scrapping over my skin not even cutting my cuticles I kept asking him to make my water hot he wasn't listen he put cuticle cream on one foot and not the other still proceeding I had to keep correcting him I got so fed up I told him to stop I washed the mask that was on my legs got out the chair and went to pay for my nails I will never go back here again the vibes were very weird and very sucky today not sure what was going on mind you I drive almost 30 min to get there I left with my nails ugly and my feet half done read more

Wow! Where do I start? It's been so hard to find a good place for a pedicure, so I was skeptical of trying a new salon. I walked in on Saturday evening, and got seated less than 5 minutes. I was offered a beverage and got hot tea. Many other drink options. Ryan was who worked on my feet. He paid so much attention to detail from cuticle care to meticulously doing my French tip. New ownership since June, interior updated, everyone friendly and polite. Krystal (Crystal) gave me a great basic no polish pedicure. Just to find out that I'll have to wait for another 15-30 mins. I ended up waiting for 20 extra mins, despite of an appointment. Tip, do not make an appointment via IG. They overbook and will not call you to tell you that your appointment has been cancelled. I made an appointment about an hour ahead of time for a basic polish for basic mani/pedi and gel nail polish removal. The place was nicely decorated and the ladies were friendly... but at the pedi chair the lady tried to upsell me more services even though she knew I only wanted a basic pedi and polish. Then when we moved to the manicure table she removed the gel polish and said - "ok - wash hands uou're done". I can back and dat down waiting for my manicure and polish - when it hit her that i wasn't actually "done". Up until then everything was ok. Then the service seemed rushed and substandard. She cut my cuticle so bad it bled and kept bleeding even through her painting my nails. In less than two days my fingernail polish was chipping and TBH I can't recall if she did a top coat. I wanted to like this place and it's my first time. I might go back by next time I'll be more attentive and not see the same person. Lesson learned. read more

Gel was $12 extra, and since the flower design I wanted was simple, they threw it in for free. I can't wait to come back here next month. I'm very active and play football as a running back, so I need my feet in top top shape to prevent injury. Thank you Ann and Serene. I came here as a walk in for the first time yesterday and was only going to get my acrylics taken off. The nail tech convinced me to get something called gel overlay over my natural nails as I wanted to take a break for a month and let my natural nails heal. She asked if I wanted my cuticles cut and I had asked for a manicure, so of course, is that not provided in the manicure package? She then tells me that it costs $10 for cuticles to be cut, I agreed. My nails are ok, but they are not $85 worth. The service was just ok. I see that online they advertise a glass of wine, mimosa, or water...but I wasn't offered anything to drink. I also saw online that they give you 10% off your first service. I had told the staff that it was my first time there yet no one had mentioned it to me.
