My favorite nail shop in Elk Grove. I'm here at least 1-2x a month for manicures and pedicures. I typically get hard gel and a spa pedicure. The spa pedicure includes the paraffin- which is a must for me. Every person that has done my nails have been incredible beyond words. What I really appreciate? They're probably the best prices Elk Grove has to offer for the quality you get. Making an appointment is easy- I always call about 30-60 mins before I arrive and rarely had an issue. Parking is nice and I love stopping by the Nugget after for a quick lunch. I will say, my only negative is that I wish I was consistently offered something to drink. Sometimes, it's not offered. For me, my pedicure and manicure experience includes mimosas. It's my monthly treat and I'm not brave enough to ask for it unless they're taking a drink order. Some of the artists are reallllllly great about asking and some don't. It's not a deal breaker for me though. read more

I got a pedicure and was very happy with that service. Then got a manicure and asked for a full acrylic set. When I sat down the women asked if I wanted gel and not having had that before I asked what that was compared to acrylic. Instead of explaining she got up and got the nails and began sizing them. I figured it was more or less the same since she didn't say anything else. I also assumed it was around the same price. Nope! Not only was this nothing like acrylic and what I believe not done well at all, it was triple what a full set might have cost. That was an absolute shock when I went to pay. I wasn't really happy with the quality of the work done once I got home and researched what a gel set was and supposed to look like and not to my surprise my concerns were valid. So I called and was asked to come back so they could make it right only to be told once there that this is normal and when my nails grow out the gap will close. She showed me her set and they were absolutely nothing like mine and honestly what I would have expected mine to look like and I said that to her and she told me it's because her nails have grown out and now the gap has closed. That logic isn't lining up for me and I didn't want to keep going round and round. I stated at least three times I didn't like it and it's not what I wanted, but she only said they could fix if a nail broke or came off. Now on vacation, I am having to scrap and dig sand, lotion and food out of the gap between each of my nail and the poorly applied fake nail that is way to big for my nail bed but was glued on anyway. My hair is getting stuck In between and pulling it out. It's like I have press on nails done by a toddler. Very frustrating to have paid so much and now having so many problems with them. This is so disgusting, I don't know why anyone would pay for this if this is the correct way to have them done. read more

I came in today to get my nails done for my graduation, and I was scheduled with Annie. At first, everything was going great. We were making small talk, but as she was working on my nails, I noticed the thumb was very off-center, and once I got a closer look, I saw the index and pinkie fingers were off-center as well. Once she started working on my other fingers, I figured she would go back at the end to fix it, but when she looked like she was wrapping up, I spoke up and let her know it looked uneven on my right hand. She went to fix it, but it still didn't look even. She added to the French tip on my right hand, but suddenly went quiet, and her demeanor noticeably changed. She then became defensive and short with me, making comments like "Well it looks fine to me, so if it only looks off to you then there's nothing I can do." and "I am only human, humans can't recreate it to be exact." I continued to say how I totally understood that, and it didn't have to be exact by any means; it just looked uneven. I even apologized many times and kept saying how I didn't want to be a problem, but she never responded. I saw her facial expression (with her mask on) and her eyes, and she was frustrated and/or annoyed. Once we finished, she very quickly rushed me out, putting oil on my right hand and rubbing it in, but only putting it on my left, then saying to go to the front, so I had to rub it in myself (which is fine, but adding to the prior experiences, I took it the wrong way). After I got out, I called my friends and showed them, and they all agreed they did look uneven. I even went into another store, and they agreed they looked uneven. I didn't once raise my voice or change my demeanor, so I find it very unfair that once I raised a concern, I was met with continuous disrespect and defensiveness. So. . .my birthday is coming up really soon and I wanted to start the festivities by pampering myself so, for the first time, I visited a nail shop that my friend has been raving about. I'm so glad I did!! They greeted me as soon as I stepped in the doors which is something I appreciate. After sitting down with Tina (who's amazing btw) I was offered a sparkling water. Everyone there was very kind. As for my nails, I absolutely love them. Tina did not rush like I'm used to experiencing. She took her time and you can absolutely tell. She also did my pedicure. Came here two days ago for a gel set. Nail broke the day after. They kept trying to convince me to stick to my natural nails claiming that gel will only continue to ruin my nails. Fine, I stook with my natural nails. While doing my nails, the lady kept buffing them paper thin which left them very weak and flimsy. I figured as professionals, they should know that buffing the nails for 20 minutes will make them weak and damage my nails far more than just getting gel. I decided to call today and ask for refund, understanding that refunds arent guaranteed but whoever answered the call was not very nice. I said I was going to leave a review on this and she started to yell saying she has my phone number and will report my review. Wow! Where do I start? It's been so hard to find a good place for a pedicure, so I was skeptical of trying a new salon. I walked in on Saturday evening, and got seated less than 5 minutes. I was offered a beverage and got hot tea. Many other drink options. Ryan was who worked on my feet. He paid so much attention to detail from cuticle care to meticulously doing my French tip. my friends told me to go try this place out, so booked an appointment.. went there the next day, just to find out that they had cancelled my appointment. Now you must ask why? Just to find out that I'll have to wait for another 15-30 mins. I ended up waiting for 20 extra mins, despite of an appointment. As i get up to leave, the lady holds my hand and tells me now she can take me. At this point, i truly believe this is just pooor customer service. I will not be going here again! Tip, do not make an appointment via IG. They overbook and will not call you to tell you that your appointment has been cancelled. I made an appointment about an hour ahead of time for a basic polish for basic mani/pedi and gel nail polish removal. The place was nicely decorated and the ladies were friendly... but at the pedi chair the lady tried to upsell me more services even though she knew I only wanted a basic pedi and polish. Then when we moved to the manicure table she removed the gel polish and said - "ok - wash hands uou're done". I can back and dat down waiting for my manicure and polish - when it hit her that i wasn't actually "done". Up until then everything was ok. Then the service seemed rushed and substandard. She cut my cuticle so bad it bled and kept bleeding even through her painting my nails. In less than two days my fingernail polish was chipping and TBH I can't recall if she did a top coat. I wanted to like this place and it's my first time. I might go back by next time I'll be more attentive and not see the same person. Lesson learned. read more

I decided to try a new place out for a manicure and pedicure. Upon working on my pedicure, the lady ask me if I wanted what type of service so I said basic with gel which was $45 and she started working. Once finished I had gel manicure which I thought probably cost somewhere under $45 so I didn't ask. What I don't like is that they scam you at the register when cashing you out. I said I had a 10% discount from your website and showed to her. Then she automatically said well your nails for manicure and pedicure we added an extra $10 service each which was never mentioned while doing the service. I didn't request anything extra. So even at that she said my manicure was $50 and pedicure at $55 for $105. So where is my 10% discount as it was never taken off. I just paid and left and will not return because I don't like that kind of service of Nicole and dining without saying anything. read more

I came here as a walk in for the first time yesterday and was only going to get my acrylics taken off. The nail tech convinced me to get something called gel overlay over my natural nails as I wanted to take a break for a month and let my natural nails heal. She asked if I wanted my cuticles cut and I had asked for a manicure, so of course, is that not provided in the manicure package? She then tells me that it costs $10 for cuticles to be cut, I agreed. My nails are ok, but they are not $85 worth. The service was just ok. I see that online they advertise a glass of wine, mimosa, or water...but I wasn't offered anything to drink. I also saw online that they give you 10% off your first service. I had told the staff that it was my first time there yet no one had mentioned it to me. Decided to give this place a try. Made an appointment for my two daughters and I and didn't get seated until 45min later. I told them I can go across the street to get coffee to help with the wait, took about 10m, but we still waited after returning. We finally got seated and I'm honestly not impressed. She really rushed my service and I'm so disappointed and upset. She did not buff my feet enough, was really rough when cutting cuticles and completely ruined my nail shape and made them crooked, I only asked for short and square. I requested French tip but it did not look right bc of the way she shaped my big toe, even after telling her how and why to correct it, she did not- so I ended up just doing whole color, my "hot towel" for the feet was also ice cold I also came in to do some kind of nail extension but changed my mind. I'm sure they have great services, as to why they're so busy, but they should better plan accordingly and try to not rush with their clients- if the service was going to be great then I wouldn't have mind the wait. This was my youngest daughter's first time experiencing getting her nails done and I really wish I could've enjoyed it with them the way I wanted to. I give two stars because my daughters enjoyed it, which of course what matters the most, but I'm still in the search to find my tried and true nail salon. Also, there was a woman worker here who was very nice and respectful and I appreciate that, she seemed to maybe be the manager bc she was doing a lot around the salon besides nails. read more
