When I recieved them the shipping box was perfect but the items inside were very dirty and damaged with cuts and cracks that looked terrible. I was a lifelong jbugs customer. But I will not be purchasing from them again. I ordered parts from there to get free shipping but was deceived by there advert. They were advertising for a hardware kit but when it arrived it was only half the kit. Now they want to charge me $11.95 to ship a $12 dollar part that should have been included from the start. When I called them Christian told me that because I had already been charged (I didn't find out that they did not offer it as a whole kit until it arrived) I could not add another. He just told me that shipping is expensive. I went through your stuff for the free shipping but was deceived by the ad. I will not be ordering from here again. They charge you to return items. In order to make a return you have to pay for the shipping and a 20% restocking fee, otherwise I would just return what I got and order again. You have lost a customer. I am a 63 year old man on SSI. I am performing repairs on my friends grandmothers bug. I ordered parts from Jbugs on Sept 9. Unfortunately my USPS sent the parts back without contacting me first. i called Jbugs and told them of the problem. They were supposed to charge me again to get the new order out asap because they said that they could not send out another order until the old order was returned. That was on the 15 of Sept. I have called and called more than 5 or 6 times and left return call back messages to no avail. Not one call returned. I tried to call on the 23 no answer and no call back. on the 25 (today) I called every menu option until I actually talked with someone. The man on the other end was rude and kept using every excuse as to why I was not receiving order status emails. I receive all their ads! Now I as well as my friends grandma have to wait another week for the parts. I am writing a 0 review. Do not do business with these retards! They cannot hire temp workers to fill these busy times like I told them they should do and from the other reviews I have seen, they have had these problems for a very long time. Bought quarter rear window rubber seals for 57 bug. Do not waste your money, they are not correct. Called support line "we install them all the time and no problem". That is a crock and bull story they were not right, no matter what we did had either a gap on the top or on the bottom. A professional also had the same problem. Charged me for main bearings that were back ordered without telling me on the 1st. Website said it would be back in stock in a couple days. Got most of the order that week. Called on the 7th about the bearings. They said they would look into and call me back. No reply. Called them again on the 10th. Blamed it on the vendor and told me to wait another week. I consulted with JBUGS advance of purchasing an EMPI rotor kit for my 66 bug. The kit arrived, i took it to the mechanic, there were parts missing from the kit and turns out they sent the wrong rotors for my car. Jbugs refused to let me return the $700 kit. They would happily give me a 20% discount on the correct rotor kit from EMPI. Good news, lots of other people can get EMPI brakes. read more

Call back again on 09/28, still hasn't shipped but they say they will get it out that day. Today is Monday 10/01 i emailed them yesterday and it turns out it still hasnt shipped. The return policy is a complete joke. They refused to give me a refund on two items that never even left the shipping box and saying that they had been used which was a complete lie. I purchased several items for the new to me 1955 Beetle and the windshield and trim ordered came as ordered. I watched several YouTube videos for installation as it seemed possible for a handy fella to accomplish. After 3 days of attempting every trick they shared I finally agreed to take it to a automotive glass man that had done auto glass for 38 years. He thought it would be relatively easy and got the trim in the gasket fairly easily since I had done it several times before. When it came down to install it was a different story. He had to grind the glass down to be able to install it with the rubber gasket seal they supplied with it. The installation cost as much as the windshield, trim and rubber seal. I wouldn't recommend the windshield from them even though their tech says they do it all the time I trust the Auto Glass company that's done it for over 3 decades. It was the American style seal and trim package with glass. read more

I've ordered parts from jbugs numerous times for my two sand rails. What I love about this group is there customer support. I've called more than once when I couldn't get an alternator to charge or a oil pressure sender to work. Every time I was able to talk to a support person there that answered my question. And every time they had first hand information (I think they all own bugs) and useful tips about other issue I might encounter (Thanks Andrew for the help on the pressure sender). The service since they stopped will call and having the store open for walk in's has gone down hill. The communication is terrible! Good luck getting someone to answer the phone or respond to a email. The website will say In stock but then a week later they will send a email saying oh we don't have that now. Why has it taken a week to process a order. I had ordered other parts from a competitor of j bugs and had the order processed and delivered in 3 days. I'm going on 2 weeks and still don't have a shipping conformation. Now I'm 15 mins away from j bugs but they won't do pick ups any more. If I could I would give 0 stars. Real Rating: 0 Stars I feel compelled to provide this warning to potential JBug customers: Just because you can order anythng they have on their website does not mean they have the parts in stock; nor, will they communicate in any proactive manner that the parts may be on back order. I have recieved many incomplete orders that only after calling or emailing their reps with order questions to learn that the parts not recieved were on back order. Also, check large orders to see if all parts were received and let them know quickly if their are any descrepancies because they will not send them if too much time elapses. Oh, and their reps are very quick to give ANY answer, even wrong ones because thet do not appear to really want to provide excellent customer service. I experienced such trangressions more than once. I spent thousands of dollars at JBugs and I am DONE!!! I have found much better luck with companies such as Wolfsburg West, CIP1, M&T Manufacturing, Car Craft, West Coast Metric, Bug City and others. I hadn't had any problems until my last order. I ordered a new starter at the end of September 2019 and found out that it wasn't the problem. I called them up to return it, and they wanted me to test it. I did and sent pictures of the set up I had used to test the starter. The tech, Andrew, said I could return it for my money back, but said if there wasn't anything wrong I could get a fee. I told him that I didn't mind so long as I got my money back. It took over 2 weeks to get the return label. I sent it in and hadn't heard back form them in over a month. I called them today, 12/9/19, and the guy I talked to, Jake, could give me an answer as to why i haven't gotten a return.
