My daughter purchased a auto battery today and was told by a female manager supposedly by the name "Rihanna" , to bring back the battery once my daughter is finished installing the new one. I then tell my daughter that they should offer the installation service there and they can keep the old battery and dispose of it. I called the store and I asked if they still offer that service and the gentleman said yes they do and to ask for him once my daughter is at the store. My daughter arrives at the store and immediately starts to get lectured by the manager on why my daughter didn't ask for the service and that it's not her job to read peoples minds. We called to talk to the manager and tells my wife that I was rude when I called. She never gave us her name so then I called to get her name a female employee picked up and asked her for her managers name and put me on hold and call went straight to her manager. I asked her for her name and told me "Rihanna" which I doubt is her name and asked her if she was the manager that was lecturing my daughter and was left on the phone with silence, no response from the manager. We took it to corporate and they will be checking cameras and Audio from their regional manager. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THE FEMALE MANAGER WITH TATTOOS ON HER ARM AND ACCENT. SHE IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Went in today to get a new battery and the female helping me out didn't want to look up my account until I told her to do so. She couldn't find my info so I called my brother for his account info (since everything is under his account). After I got more info I got back in line and got a different lady helping me who told me they could not change my battery for me due to some rules they have set in place. I informed the lady I really needed my battery changed now and if I can speak to her manager. That's when ANOTHER Lady comes out and told me the same thing and that once I bring back my old battery I will get my $22 refunded to me. I declined their business from then on and went to a different AutoZone were the first gentleman I spoke to help change my battery out with no problems. Definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND coming to this location. All 3 ladies were no help and seemed to not care. read more

Went to run my mom around and no battery. Thank goodness is pooped out before we left on vacation. Trenton was great. Before I left, he was helping someone with their wipers. No fuss, just a friendly kid. Made sure I got the one with a 3 year warranty. They only usually last about 2. The location is unkept. The parking lot is full of old oil soaked cat litter that they never seem to scrape up. The trash cans are always overflowing onto the ground all around the cans. Their stock/inventory system is completely broken/useless. If you call they will tell you on the phone that they do have the part in stock but then when you get there they don't actually have it, and then they just show you that their computer shows they have them in stock. I have been given parts that were clearly used/returned but being represented as "new". They are constantly out of commonly purchased items. They never have the odd size wrenches or sockets in stock. All around service is slow. Expect to wait in line for a long time, even if you are the only one in line. They have frequent issues with their payment/credit card system. Twice I have been waiting in line at this location for well over 10 minutes with an arm full of supplies for an oil change only to have the employees announce that the credit card system is down. I give this location 2 stars because it is close to my home so it's a quick option in a pinch. Also the adult woman that works at this location is very polite and pleasant. I always end up at O'Riley's just down the road in the end. The same part costs 10-15% more but they always have it, they are fast, the guy/girl behind the counter knows more about cars than I do, and the location is kept in immaculate condition. read more

Staff that does more than socialize while customers wait and use more than their phone. After telling me the don't carry any bolts unless they can look it up on the computer this girl left me in the store by myself to look on my own. Wife went and had similar issue. Today daughter and sun in law went and same thing with auto accessories, she didn't know if they had it unless it is on the computer. They walked to the aisle and found it on the shelf but decided to leave and us a different store. Tried to use because it was close but honestly better off driving to any other store or ordering online than dealing with the staff at this store. read more

Yesterday we went to the autozone on Reems Rd. in Surprise, Arizona to test our battery. Nelson helped us and he was amazing. He helped to remove battery acid and corrosion so he could test our battery and we definitely needed a new one. We purchased one but Nelson was unable to remove our old battery because of the corrosion on the terminal. We had to repair it the next day. When we repaired we had to purchase a battery from the dealer. We tried to return the battery at the autozone nearest to our home on Grand Ave in Sun City, arizona The "manager " Matthew Shoop was super rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. I explained that I wanted to return a battery that was unused and never installed because the autozone employee couldn't remove the old battery due to a bad terminal. He told me that he wouldn't process a return because we had installed it which was impossible because the old battery was still stuck in the car. I asked him to call Nelson at the surprise location and he refused. He said if you want you can call them or leave and go there but I will not return this item for you and there's nothing I can do for you. I am super irritated and upset about the lack of concern, friendliness and common decency this employee showed. He was disrespectful and condescending. I would not keep an employee like this. I grabbed a super power cleaner because it was under a tag saying it was 6.49 and then when I take it to the register, it rings up as 14.49!! The female then argued with me that there was not enough room. And said that it's not thier problem for the shelves to be organized and labeled right. Horrible service and horrible customer service. So 3 months ago the knock sensor went out in my car. Went to autozone near me. Got the part got it fixed. No problem right? Well yesterday my car started throwing a knock sensor code again. Pulled the part out went back to autozone and apparently they dont warranty 3 month old sensors. Found the part at half the price at oreillys with a lifetime warranty. Yikes. I don't want to bash the place because I feel like Autozone is a biz where it depends on the person who helps you that determines the experience you get. The prices aren't bad and the selection isn't bad. But employees are...well...BAD. They didn't communicate well with each other which caused some visible frustration amongst the staff. I think one guy was new, so his coworkers looked a little annoyed when having to explain how to use their system and look up/edit customers. I'm a person who knows nothing about cars. You could tell me my car needed blinker fluid and I would probably believe you. But they left me feeling pretty uneasy about my purchase and the questions I asked which were pretty basic. read more

The quoted prices were about the same but Autozone had a model that fit my needs/budget better. I went over later the same day. Got there when the line wasn't long. After a few minutes they confirmed my battery was bad. They quoted same options that had on the phone. It took them less than 15 minutes to do the swap and have me on the way. I was avoiding this place at night because of how incredibly rude one guy was, repeatedly. I did not want to leave a bad review though because the rest of their personal is patient and friendly. John Foley is an example of superior customer service and knowledge without all the pomp and B.S you get from other places where they pretend to know more than they do. Foley consistently goes the extra mile and always with a smile and that can be challenging when working with the public in general. Great Customer service (for the most part) they helped me isolate a fault to a bad alternator. Even though they sold me the wrong one they gave me a 10% discount on the correct one and even bench checked the bad one I pulled out. They were very helpful. There was one employee that seemed very upset and irritated to do his job though, he was very short and seemed upset with the other customer that just wanted her battery checked. I did not get his name so I can't really help with that part all I can remember is that he had a small afro and a bad attitude. read more
