We had a carbon monoxide alarm go off early in the morning, so we called 911 and the fire department made their way over quick. After their assessment, they determined we must have a problem with our old furnace or water heater so they shut everything down. This left me scrambling to find someone that can come day of to assess both appliances to see what the problem was. JC Heating was one of the first to respond and said they could have a tech come in the afternoon. Once they arrived, they got straight to work and found the culprit within minutes; an old connector and pipe. They promptly replaced it and checked the water heater (no issues) and got everything back up and running within 45 minutes. They even found a bad condensation pipe and replaced that too. Right after searching on Yelp, many service providers were sent my information and I started to get responses and made appointments for the first 2. I figured 2 bids was a good way to go, JC Heating were the first responders and sent 2 techs, one older wearing a clean starched shirt and chinos, the other much younger, wearing jeans and a T-shirt. The younger went to work while the older wrote notes given in Spanish. After 15-20 minutes the older tech told me that the Induction motor needed replacement that would cost $750. Right on their heals, a second contractor arrived and within 10 minutes he had the furnace running and charged me $60, which he asked me to pay in cash. The following day the furnace broke down again and when I called the tech, he told he would be back in the afternoon, but he didn't show up. When I called him the following morning he ghosted me and when I tried to follow up with a message through Yelp, he didn't respond. It turned out I was his very first customer-victim, and in subsequent direct texting, he told me to get lost and that he didn't care of if I left a bad review on Yelp. I then called back JC heating, paid for the 1st. visit and made an appointment for replacing the induction motor. This time the team had a 3rd tech added and after 1 hour of banging around, they told me the whole furnace needed replacement because it was leaking CO (Carbon Monoxide) they shut the gas as a precaution,. I quickly received a 2nd invoice for the second visit, which was higher than the 1st (one more tech?) and a 3rd invoice for the replacement if the furnace. When I called them, a different dispatcher wasn't aware I had already paid for a diagnostic and would get back to me. She never did and I kept getting re-invoiced for the 2nd visit. Needless to say, i didn't order the replacement furnace and I'm waiting for another repair service to check the unit and give me a an opinion, specially on the 11th hour diagnosis of CO leaking. read more

When our air conditioner stopped working in the middle of a terrible heat wave, I contacted JC Heating and Air Conditioning to diagnose and fix the problem. Jose, the owner, and Sebastian, a technician, came out the very next morning, even though it was the Fourth of July. They inspected the unit and found that the compressor wasn't working due to a faulty capacitor. They had the part readily available, installed a new capacitor, and ran and tested the system in cool mode to make sure that all operations were normal. I found the team at JC Heating and Air Conditioning to be highly competent, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Their prices seem reasonable and fair. JC heating and air came out to do a preventative maintenance on my heater. And when I went to check their work there was nothing cleaned nothing really even touched and the furnace doors were put on backwards. The dryer vent was cleaned. Just a smoke show with nothing to show for it. Very displeased with their services. Not sure what was included with PM but I expected atleast blower compartment cleaned burners cleaned and maybe clean the flame sensor wipe down the outside and make it look like someone did something at all. Only reason it is a 3 star is because they cleaned the dryer vent. read more

These guys suck! I had an appointment with Jose to install a mini split in my house, at 3pm on a Tuesday. I waited for 2 hours and he never showed and never called.
