He gave us some great suggestions but because the car was old, we decided not to have some of the work done. We appreciated his honesty, he's very professional and we would definitely come here again. Family owned automotive shop, that has values and integrity! They've been at the Marietta location for 15 years. I'd heard good things about them so when my car kept shutting off, I decided to try them over my usual dealership. Patrick, who isn't a regular at this particular location, stopped what he was doing to diagnose the problem with my car. He knew immediately what was wrong, and in less than 20 minutes my car fixed and was back to running normal. He didn't even charge me for his "car whisperer" services. Easy set up they got me in a couple days later. The gentleman working the register was polite and informative. Went to get my oil changed, coupon showed 54.99. Great price for full synthetic engine oil. However, needed a cabin filter change. Never gave me the cost.. the cost was $58.26, low cost of a filter is about $15.00 high cost about $24.00, time to change it about five minutes. That's were they get you on a oil change.. Nice staff, not very careful on keeping your car clean. My car a 2022 Pacifica, my recommendation, best to go to the dealer. Dealership is expensive to but you know the know the car. Also, they always say upfront your cost, I just feel I was screwed, or got the same cost but was thinking I was getting a good deal because of the coupon oil change. Management did call me & offer to credit me the cabin air filter. I did not take the credit & he admitted they should have told me the price up front. Car: Jeep Wrangler. In August of 2021, I needed my clutch changed. While they had the transmission separated from the engine, I requested the rear engine seal be replaced, as the car had 70,000-80,000 miles on it. No leaking, I just thought it was a good thing to proactively do. They also replaced my E-brake cables, which they said had been severed. Flash forward to the present day: My rear seal leaks--will have to replace it--and my e-brake cable can't be tightened anymore because--SURPRISE!--they used the wrong sized cables. What was once seemingly promising, turned out to be worse than I could've ever imagined. I took my Vehicle is to have a check engine light diagnosed. Not only was I initially charged one price to diagnose, but the price quickly went up because the tech could not diagnose and needed to do expanded testing; which seemed odd and yet convenient for them to make more $$. BUT then, my vehicle sent me a notification that my vehicle was traveling and as I followed the journey, I noticed that my car was traveling outside of where their shop is located. At first, I thought maybe they were driving the vehicle to diagnose the check engine light, but then I discovered much worse was going on. They actually were transporting another customer to their home in MY car! As I opened my dashcam app, I was shocked to see a total stranger in the backseat of my Range Rover. And, that's not all - they also went to pick up a separate customer to bring them back to the shop to pick up their vehicle. It is important to note, that I never authorized the shop to even operate my vehicle and certainly not other people. Had there been an accident, I could have been liable at great lengths. Instead of them doing their jobs, they chose to use my vehicle for their personal and business use. In speaking to the manager, while he apologized, he had no logical excuse and was nonchalant. Needless to say, I demanded my keys back and now I am going to seriously consider litigation. DO NOT trust this company. Connected with True Automotive from USAA's recommendation of trusted local mechanics. I was able to easily schedule an appointment for service and got an estimate promptly. I'd like to highlight that my boyfriend waited in the shop, and True Automotive took him back to show the findings as well as sent me a detailed invoice covering the scope, recommendations, photos and videos. Considering I live in in IA and the car was in GA I was truly impressed by this. They were able to promptly complete the repairs which included control arms, stabilizer bar links, struts, wheel alignment, and wheel bearings. My toyota Camry now rides like new and I'm truly impressed with their services, responsiveness, and professionalism. The only hiccup was there was some supply chain issues. However this is to be expected in today's society, so the repair took a little longer than expected, but I was informed throughout the process. This review is based on my last and final visit to this facility and not on several previous visits in the past couple of years. I would probably give those four stars. The maintenance at that time was done on time and seemed to be satisfactory. I have been a customer of this auto repair location for about 20 years. Up until two years ago, when it changed owners, it was called NAPA's Premier Service Center. During that time there was only a couple of times when the work was not completed in the same day and only twice did I have to return because of a minor problem related to the repair. On June 7, I called TRUE Automotive Marietta to set up an appointment for an oil change, transmission drain/fill, and the battery replaced. I asked the person on the phone if this was something I could wait on (assuming it would take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours). The person said they had new people working and they had a number of "projects" so I'd have to leave it. I then asked if it would be better if I schedule the work for the following week. He said yes and suggested June 13. I arrived at the facility at 8:30am and was shocked to see the entire lot filled with cars. Cars were in every parking space and double parked on both sides of the aisle. I walked into the building and gave the service writer my key. He said he would need to keep the car and I could pick it up late Tuesday afternoon. I agreed and left the car with them. Monday came and went and so did Tuesday. No phone calls about status of vehicle. Wednesday at noon I called the facility and asked what the status of the repair was. The same service writer I left the key with said that a "tech would look at it and determine what needed to be done." I thought what needed to be done? I told them an oil change, trans drain/fill, and a battery. The rest of Wednesday went by. No phone call. Thursday June 16 my wife drove me to the facility. She drove into the ALDI Food store lot next to the repair facility. Backed up to the wall of the Aldi building was my car. I opened the hood and saw that the battery was not replaced. I called the facility from my cell phone and the same service writer answered. I told him nothing had been done with the battery. He said they were going to work on it that afternoon. I asked him if anything was done at all. He said no. I walked over to the building and told him they have a problem there. He said the tech who would be working on my car had to be off Wednesday. I thought, then who was supposedly looking at the car Wednesday as I was told when I called? I told him to give me my car key, and left. My guess is the car was sitting right where I found it all week long. Judging by the number of vehicles in their lot and the overflow to ALDI's next door, there seems to be a scheduling problem, lack of technicians or something else seriously wrong. It should not take four days to do simple simple maintenance like my vehicle needed. read more

Positives: the shop uses an online platform to communicate work scope with clients. I have no reason to think, at this point, that the work is not done correctly. Negative: They charge at the very highest range of standard prices - questionably. We paid almost 200 just for them to check very basic components. The dealbreaker is what looks like a lack of integrity in upselling for unneeded services. I sent my 22 year old daughter in there in her own and they seized the opportunity and tried to take advantage of a person that would not know any better. When I called to decline services Raul tried to start a negotiation of prices. Bad sign- if your prices are set correctly- the price is the price. Negotiating means the price was too high to start off. Raul needs to run for public office- He's a fast talker and skilled at providing long rambling answers to simple direct questions. What we all need most from the mechanics is honesty. Integrity. If a business is strong , they don't need upselling tactics because The customers and the work keeps rolling in. I don't recommend this shop unless you don't mind being taken advantage of. read more

I had my car towed here and I told Raul that I had a car warranty and texted him the CarMax customer service and contract number. They did a diagnostic on the car, and the car only needed a battery for $328.00. Which I know is not covered under the car warranty. I told Raul I will be there before closing to pick up car. The next morning Raul called me to tell me, "He had called my car warranty company!!!! because during the diagnostic he saw that the engine valve cover was cracked and that this repair is covered, however I would need to pay $326 Out of pocket!! I told Raul that I had just given them $328 for the battery and Did Not want to pay additional money at this time for that repair!! I then called CarMax to cancel the claim, because I felt that this was a Money Grab!! Raul would receive money from my car warranty company and from me!! CarMax was going to pay them $592. for the repair and then they would get an additional $326 from me!! Total $918!! 2 weeks later I was told by my car warranty company that the claim was still open and that I needed True Automotive to cancel the claim. I called Raul @ 9:00 am to cancel claim 2 1/2 hours later he still had not cancelled the claim. It wasn't until my husband and I came to the shop frustrated telling Raul to just cancel the claim! until it got heated in the shop and John stepped in to cancel the claim. I then took my car to my mechanic, that said for that particular repair and part I should've have to pay anything Out of Pocket!! And guess what? There was No Crack in my Engine Valve Cover!!! I have to write again to tell everyone that this is the Best Place to take your car for repairs, oil changes and anything else. My car needed a tune up. I had asked what the cost would be and was told the amount. Took my car in a month later and had it done. In the meantime I received a loyalty check from True Automotive for being a customer for 4 years. I was so happy. My car was fixed and ran very well. A few days later my engine light came on and my car started acting up. I immediately called and talked to Mike at the shop and was told to bring it back. Long story shortened they kept my car overnight and found the problem anddd fixed it. I was updated while they had my car and called when it was ready to be picked up. Raul called me to make sure my car was still running good. He has such a nice personality and enjoys his job. I even spoke to the mechanic that fixed my car. I will continue to take my car to True Auto. I completely trust them. They won't do anything to your car before explaining what all is involved and the cost of the work if needed. My recommendation. Raul is very professional and Mike was very kind but that is about all I can say that is good about this company. I brought my car there for a specific issue of overheating and ended up paying $1600 for everything but the issue being resolved. They didn't even address the problem of overheating. First time driving it to work after getting it back the same problem occurred so they towed it in and finally looked at the thermostats that were no longer functioning. They wanted to charge me another $800 to replace the thermostats. Absolutely not when it should've been taken care of in the first place. My husband bought the thermostats for $75 and fixed it in 30 minutes. Problem resolved. Ridiculous! Such a shame that they rip people off like that. read more

Purchased my vehicle and the previous owner recommended me to True Automotive. So I took it to True Automotive Marietta. They currently are opening up their 5th store and they have plans to build 50 locations. Guess that is why they are so WAY overpriced for the same service and I would bet none or only a few mechanics are ASE certified. They want the customer to pay adsorbent amount for Labor ($169.99/hr) (Average Auto Repair Labor Rates as of Aug. 2, 2022. Car repair labor costs vary greatly across the country, with an average ranging from $45 to $170 per hour.) (as you can see they have the HIGHEST rate per hour in the industry.) and Parts ($800, same Bosch parts I can purchase for $200). It gets better. They recommend I replace my turbochargers for $8,924.41. If you don't approve the HIGHEST priced repair they will make suggestion after suggestion and they will ALWAYS start with the highest cost repair, rather than diagnosing the actual problem and making start with the best solution to repair the issue. Most mechanics you go to diagnose your concerns this way. The scanning technology and the ALLDATA system indicates what needs to be repaired and they are taking the maximum suggested hours and the highest repair FIRST. Most mechanics diagnose and start with the minimum and easiest repair. The first suggestion was declined, so they recommended the Turbo oil line to be replaced for $3,946.34. When I declined they recommended coolant line to be replaced $1,772.47. (See how this is going? Descending order. Convenient and highly profitable for them, but will make the customer BROKE.) They also, recommended 5 other repairs to the tune of $3,800.31. (Total of $18,443.53, when the vehicle is worth $11,000) When I declined this suggestion, the technician said we should just try and replacing the vacuum lines and see if this fixes the issues. WHY would you NOT make this suggestions in the beginning? OH, because it's not as profitable to True Automotive. I approved the vacuum lines to be replaced. Dropped my car off Sunday night for a Tuesday appointment, I never heard from them until I had to make a call to them late in the afternoon. They sent me a photo of the diagnostic scan with all the codes it is showing. I asked the service advisor if the scan was BEFORE or AFTER the technician replaced the vacuum line. (it took me literally 10 mins to explain this to the advisor. He is playing games.). Found out the scan was BEFORE the vacuum lines were replaced. And they scanned it after. Seriously? Then the vehicle was misfiring, so they recommend spark plugs and coil wires for, $1,389.42. I asked them to break this down for me. Charging 3 hrs labor at $169.99 (wish I made that much per hr) and parts charge is $879.45. I get it, MOST shops inflate the cost of the parts, but I can get the Bosch spark plugs for $9.75 each x 8 = $78 and the wires for $86.49 for the set. Total of $164.49 vs. $879.45??? 435% for real? I can see 10-20%, but 435%!!! When I spoke to the manager I asked him why they use the maximum suggestions from the ALLDATA system and not the minimum or median hour suggestion? He replied we can use the maximum hours if we want to, and I said yes that is your prerogative. Needless to say I will not be returning to be screwed by these folks. I see why they have TRUE in their name. They are like BANKS they have the word Trust and True in all their statements, but you can't trust them. This is just another way to deceive their customers. I recommend they change their name to SCAM Automotive. You have a better suggested name change? read more

This place is a rip-off..... I do not recommend going here at all. Way overpriced. I went in for an oil change and to have my tires rotated and balanced. I also asked while the tires are already off can you look at the front breaks and let me know if the pads are worn due to hearing a squeal when breaking. I was charged an additional $67 for the technician to shine his flashlight at the pads and say yep looks like you need breaks. He already had the tires off due to the rotation and balance that was an additional charge. The additional shop fees are high as well. I supplied my own oil and filters. I understand the cost for the tire rotation, balance, and the oil change. I would have even understood the shop fees but the $67 for the brakes is absolutely ridiculous. He didn't do anything. Waste of money. UPDATE - After writing my review I was notified by the service writer who admitted that they made a mistake and that I never should have been changed for the brake inspection. They took my credit card number and said I should see the $67 refund. Let's hope that it shows up. I'm glad that they responded to my complaint and made things right. Have used this company for years and never had an issue until now. Like I said I'm glad they reversed the charge but makes me Leary about using them in the future. I found MMW Repair from recommendations on the Nextdoor app. I'm so glad I did. They're super convenient to my home so I can walk if I ever need to leave my vehicle with them to service it. Working with Will Frieson was great. He kept me updated on the services and the associated costs I needed on my 2005 VW Jetta while it was in their shop which was greatly appreciated. Mike Apolionio was the manger when I went there, I needed replacement of five motor mounts on my van. he quoted me 50% of what the dealership quoted me, I said when can you "Getter Done"? I recently had my son's 2003 pickup serviced, it needed some necessary replacement parts, which cost $1,200, the vehicle has only 69k miles on it so it much cheaper than replacing it for thousands of $$$$$$ more. Mike orders me "AMSOIL XL" 0w20, brand oil, it is rated as the best oils on the market, it is expensive but my vehicle maintenance minder allows me to change every 5/6 k miles, so the high cost is justified for a high quality product. Ladies, this is it! I had a problem with my Nissan and went to the dealership and Meineke, but neither could get the check engine light to turn off. I went to my little mechanic shop and they told me what was wrong but they did not have the correct equipment to fix it. I found this shop and they came up with the same diagnoses and after months of trying to get my engine light off they succeeded! Mike is the guy I always talk to and refer people to even though all the guys there are nice, pleasant and helpful. You will never feel ignore, belittled or disrespected by any of them, nor will you leave feeling ripped off! I really want to keep them a secret because I don't want a line out the door next time I stop by just as I did today to say that the light keeps coming on my dashboard saying my tire pressure is low in the same tire and I am tired of filling it with air (although I know it is cold out and the weather might be affecting it). They checked it out, removed the screw they found stuck in it and plugged it for me for nothing! When I purchased my new car from Carvana 9 months ago because the dealerships were trying to rip me off, I took it straight to them to get it double checked and now my daughter is doing the same with her Caravan purchase this weekend. I hope to never purchase from a dealership again and as long as I can get to MMW Repair they will be my first and last stop for repairs or maintenance. read more
