JD Campbell's absolutely nailed this bagel & lox. Thick-cut silky salmon, a mountain of cream cheese, crisp red onions, capers with the perfect salty pop, and fresh tomato stacked like a masterpiece. Rustic, loaded, and unapologetically deli-style. This isn't breakfast ...it's an event.

Board special, brisket scramble. Really good!

Haven't been here in a while. Decided to go for a late breakfast with my wife. It's nice to say they are back on track! Food was really good. My wife had the special which was a brisket scramble and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Everything was great. Service is fast but not to the point of feeling rushed. We will definitely be back soon!

I got the JD biscuits and gravy, home style potatoes, and two eggs. Everything tasted so good and the potatoes were extra crispy, which I loved! I was seated for brunch on their patio on this beautiful spring day. It was perfect! I will be back.

Welp this is a wonderful breakfast spot. Simple as that. I have to say, there are breakfast places that have more unique food, more complex flavors. However as it relates to traditional breakfast, it's amazing. The biscuits and gravy were great! I do wish the gravy had chunks of sausage. Besides that, the flavor of the gravy was great. There was a hint of spice to it too! The biscuits were fluffy. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order. The bacon was crispy and again perfect. The potatoes!!! I don't think I have had potatoes that crispy, and were still crispy at the end of the meal! The pancakes were incredibly fluffy but still had a nice crisp on the edges. The sausage links too were so crispy, but not dry, so good! The prices were beyond reasonable. The biscuits and gravy was only $12.45 I think. The atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming. Nice outdoor seating too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We are very excited to go back and try more of this amazing food. 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part with quality food and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there!

Cozy breakfast stop at JD Campbell's, a friendly neighborhood restaurant known for classic comfort food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We came here for a Sunday family brunch. They serve breakfast all day (always a win!), and I ordered the Good Morning Breakfast: scrambled eggs, country potatoes, sourdough toast, and pork links, simple, hearty, and delicious. We also shared the Famous House French Toast: Texas toast dipped in cinnamon egg batter, rolled in crushed frosted flakes, topped with powdered sugar and strawberries... and wow definitely worth sharing. A great local spot for comforting meals, friendly service, and that classic neighborhood diner feel.

This was a bit of a meh experience for me. There was a line of people outside the door when this place opened so I was expecting awesome and it was just ok. Service was prompt, I will say that. Any extras that were requested were not forgotten. I had scrambled eggs with potatoes, bacon and English muffin for breakfast. English muffin would have been better if it was hot. Eggs were... weird. Potatoes are already seasoned but they still put salt on them so it was a bit much. The bacon was extremely salty so I couldn't finish it. My husband said his french toast was good and he was excited they had vanilla creamer for their coffee. This is a cute place with good service. I wish the food had been better.

First-time visit and I'm so glad I stopped in! I stumbled across their Instagram while scrolling and was instantly intrigued. The portions are generous, and the prices are hard to beat. On the way in, I noticed three different people with the blueberry pancakes--which felt like a sign--so I had to try one à la carte. We also ordered the green chile omelet and the Bandito breakfast sandwich. The peach on cobbler was lacking sadly... there was no crust just peaches in a fruit compote style with an oatmeal crumble like on top . But overall the breakfast and was flavorful, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely a great find!

A bit of a hike from Central PHX, but I had heard good things. Place is kind of by itself in the NE corner of the intersection. There was a line, but it moved quickly. Menu has quite a few breakfast options. I opted for the corned beef hash. House made and quite tasty. It sits on top of jalapeño cornbread. Also good. Saw quite a few people with biscuits and gravy (looked good) and chicken fried steak and eggs (also looked good) Ambiance is rustic country. Goes with the vibe. N*joy!

JD Campbells offers diners a sunny Arizona welcome. The waitstaff are attentive and friendly. The food is excellent and served with a smile at breakfast and lunch. They offer the best green pork chili-smothered omelet I've had in ages. The portions are generous, the menu variety is incredible, and the pricing is hard to complain about. The potato pancakes are a must-try. Above all, the atmosphere is charming and cozy. My Mother's Day morning delight was the flower vendor stand just outside, with beautiful arrangements for the occasion. You haven't experienced the charm and flavor of Peoria unless you've stopped here for a bite.

The pancakes really are worth ths hype here. The blueberry version were densely loaded with blueberries and hot off the grill. The blueberry whip was a nice touch as well. Huge cup of coffee. Breakfast was $20.

We brought our friends visiting from Las Vegas to JD Campbell's Restaurant for brunch after hearing great things from some local friends. It was our first visit, and clearly a popular spot, the restaurant was packed even on a Monday morning at 11 a.m. Our group of five waited about 25 minutes for a table. Once seated, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere with charming farm-style décor that added to the cozy feel of the place. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Country Fried Steak, Potato Cakes, Blueberry Pancakes, and a Seasonal Egg Scramble. Every dish was hearty, flavorful, and satisfying, the kind of comforting brunch food that hits the spot. While the service wasn't the most attentive (understandable given how busy they were), our overall experience was enjoyable. JD Campbell's is a great local gem for a casual, down-home brunch, and we'd definitely return to try more of their menu.

Came for breakfast after a hike in the area. Prices were very good especially for the portion sizes. I got the country fried steak with potatoes and eggs. It was crispy and topped with a good helping of gravy. The potatoes were really good as well. Service was fast and friendly. The place can be a bit crowded with a wait on weekend mornings, but the wait wasn't too long. Would consider coming again if I'm in the area!

Campbells is always a great time and I should have been a review a long time ago but today it was just meant to be. My hubs and I decided to hop out of bed and head straight to Campbells for some good breakfast because no one wanted to cook lol! It being Sunday we knew it would be busy but only waited 10 ish mins, we were greeted with a big smile and great service (like every time) and ordered our food. Our food came out so quick and was perfectly hot and steamy. I have never had their country gravy but now it will be a must, and same with the sausage links. Tasted homemade and was packed with savory flavor! My hubby got the chicken fried steak which was tasty as it always is. Food there is always worth the price and the atmosphere is always on point from the service, chattering of the customers, decor, and the perfect volume of the country music playing! It is a special local place and definitely need to visit more often

Ask the Community - JD Campbell's

    Do they take reservations?

    No, I don't believe so.

    Is the patio pet friendly?

No unfortunately not I took my Dalmatian and had to walk her and leave her in the car.

Do they have dairy free options?

This isn't an ice cream shop. Of course they have food without dairy. You know, eggs, potatoes, most bread, beans, tortillas, meat - there's a long list of non-dairy foods available. Just ask to hold the dairy/cheese. :)

    Do they have gluten-free options?

    Gluten free bread

I have been to this location a ton and it's normally average at best. Today April 4, 2026, was a spectacular train wreck. In all fairness it was busy tonight so I will weigh that a bit in the favor of the tailgaters. So we arrived and sat at a table. I was there for 20 minutes without anyone coming to greet. Eventually we waived down a waitress named Mikayla who took my order. Nothing fancy, a large Modelo, wings and a sandwich. Fast forward 30 minutes. Never got water, large Modelo still never showed up and food is no where to be seen. I waiver her down and ask about the Modelo that is now over 40 minutes. She says she will get it. 15 minutes pass and eventually some other girl shows up with a large Dos Equis. I tell her it was supposed to be a Modelo and then I tell her to just throw it away and take it off my bill. It's now been literally forever and some other girl who isn't even our waitress comes and asks what we ordered. I tell her again my order and then tell her to just make it to go. Eventually I got my mediocre wings and chicken parm sandwich to go. In defense of the restaurant, the manager did give me a $25 gift certificate (I wanted to leave it on the table but my wife said it was rude). What am I supposed to do with the gift card? Come in and order my food again just for them to not bring it and when they do it'll be wrong. I'm not going back.

Conveniently located right off Grand Ave (US 60) in a little strip mall right in the heart of Surprise. Tons of ample parking for you and some of your closest friends! We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Contrary to what a few of the other reviews have said, you do ** NOT ** need to bring quarters with you. Obviously, you can. But it's not necessary. The nice gentleman running the place today gladly took our $20 bill and give us a few $5 bills back. From there, you can go to their change machine in the back, chuck in your $1 bills or $5 bills and it'll spit out quarters at you. Once you've got your pockets full of quarters, head over to one of the many machines and be prepared to be entertained! It's $1 per game. I know, but this ain't 1984 anymore so a dollar per game checks out. We blew through our $20 in a hair over an hour. It is incredibly clean inside! The machines functioned with no issues at all and I can't stress enough about how clean the machines (and everything) was here at Player 1! If you want to partake in some soda or alcohol, they can serve you up some refreshments while you've got your hands full with a pinball machine. Super fun way to spend a hot summertime afternoon here in Arizona. We will DEFINITELY be back. Such a cool place. Can't recall the last time I saw this many pinball machines lined up in a row.
