OOOO MAN . now this place is a hidden gem, the corner diner says it all but it needs to be on the main street! i've seen a review say the "food takes long" but let me just say one thing it is truly worth the wait, everything comes out freshly baked and never cold even if it take awhile. i've never had one meal where I didn't enjoy the food I was eating. just think about what the cook is going through during those times and it STILLL comes out AMAZING. do I recommend? ABSOLUTELY! over and over again. will try to get pics of the food next time I go but do yourself a favor and go! great staff too

Food was great, but when my son asked for extra napkins, the sever belittled him by "explaining" that's what wrapped around the flatware. Yes, thank you for the lesson in table etiquette. However, when you are dining with two children, we almost always need extras. While eating there were a few patrons who were coming through the front door and the door sticks pretty badly. So bad, it feels as though it's locked. Instead of just waking 10 feet and opening the door, the server just yelled "pull it open!" She never once offered to let them in. When we were done and paying, the register receipt prints with with tip area already completed with $0.00. So I asked the server how I needed to do the tip. She proceeded to roll her eyes and say, quite condescendingly, "you, uh write it in!" Yes, that works when there's a blank, but I've never had a receipt already say $0.00. Honestly, I should have left nothing for the attitude alone. I really want to like this place since it's a locally owned establishment, but until the server loses the attitude, we won't be back.

Amazingly for such a small restaurant, we could not get waited on. We eventually got up and left. We do not recommend this restaurant.

The waitress recommended the chicken and waffles as they hand bread the chicken breasts and fry them in strips. Unbelievably delayed (maybe best chicken strips ever) but added to the thick, dense waffle and maple syrup?!? WOW The portion was massive so I now have lunch to eat later too. I also must mention the vibe was chill and friendly (no cranky early morning people here!) And the food came super fast. Plenty of time to eat and get to work!

The menu is extensive with plenty of choices for everyone. I ordered an omelet with bacon, onions, peppers, and feta cheese, along with grits and one of their homemade biscuits. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the experience was everything I hoped for. We went for breakfast. Sat ourselves and we got beverages fairly quickly. She took our order and did say there's a bit of a back up in the kitchen, no problem as it is busy being a Saturday. while sitting there waiting on our order we observed several tables that were not cleared. The. We noticed our server pulled up a chair at a large table and sat down. Thinking she knew them and was going to take their order which she did not. She sat there maybe 4 minutes just chatting all while dirty tables needed to be cleared. We also witnessed another server who started clearing tables and the cloth she used to wipe the table fell off the cart she put it and onto the floor. I didn't want to know if this dirty cloth which was used to wipe multiple tables down was picked up or not as we were leaving. What's sad to me is this is a cute place, small but has space for more tables if it were organized to do so. We noticed there was a mettle rack I. The dining area towards the back with supplies on it. There was space where we were sitting for another table or two while there was a table for 6 up front where it seemed cramped. It would fit nicely in the back are if it was a more organized. Needless to say we won't be back on top of how I feel about this diner when I got my omelet it had mushroom in it. I hate mushrooms. When asked what was in the veggie omelet she said onions peppers and tomatoes. She never mentioned mushrooms!

He was kind enough to give me complimentary potatoes w my breakfast sandwich since I guess I opted out of the meat. But regardless still a much appreciated gesture. The younger gentleman that was waiting on tables was great as well. My biscuit was one of the best I have ever had eating out. Buttery, crispy on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside. Last one I've tried else where tasted like it had freezer burn but this tasted fresh hot out the oven. My eggs were buttery smooth, not too over done, & I added hollandaise sauce & that was perfection. It was so dang good, I ordered the same thing but to-go for breakfast the next morning. And he continued to give me the complimentary potatoes which those were heavenly. The inside looks just like a blast from the past diner w some cool historical memorabilia. I also like the large windows w the tables against them for the natural light to come thru. I sadly live in a different state as I was just visiting but I will without a doubt return when I visit again. I can't recommend this place enough!

My eggs came out over easy instead, and the corned beef hash was clearly from a can. The sourdough was light but not homemade, and the grits were just okay. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. Not sure why most breakfast spots can't cook over medium eggs. When we went to pay, credit card fees are added to the bill. While the charge is disclosed, I personally feel businesses should absorb this cost rather than pass it on to customers. Credit card companies have charged merchants these fees since credit cards were first introduced, and in most industries outside of food service, merchants don't pass them along to the customer. Overall, the food was decent, and the place definitely had that classic diner atmosphere. If you're looking for a friendly spot for a casual breakfast, it's worth giving a try -- just don't expect gourmet.
