a cup of coffee

It's my third day in a row at the Country Ham N Egg so I thought I might share why I absolutely love this place. It has ample parking and space to accommodate the packs of hungry customers that come in. A warm welcome by the host never fails. The wait was about 2-5min to be seated. It is nice and clean. The staff is very attentive and always friendly. I usually get some of their delicious brewed coffee. And a #2 sausage links/scrambled eggs/hash browns & English muffin that I devour with grape jelly 10/10 Definitely a must try if you are in town or if you are roadtripping and need an awesome and delicious spot to munch. Can't wait to be back! Thank you for the consistency in excellence

The moniker with the rooster!

Continuing my pursuit of delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurants to enjoy a meal at every now and then, my dad and I hit up another local mom-and-pop down in Sebastian called the Country Ham N Egg Restaurant (will shorthand to CHER for the remainder of the review). According to my dad, he said CHER was one of two very popular breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurants that would compete alongside The Southern Sisters before the latter moved up to Sarno Rd. in Eau Gallie. With the "competition gone," CHER became one of the primary breakfast/brunch/lunch diners in the area. We stopped in to enjoy a meal and I have to say, I was not disappointed. First and foremost, the ambiance of CHER is very homey, like southern homey. I definitely loved the outdoor decor as a sculpture of a rooster flanks one side of the awning leading to the entryway. The mural on the south wall is very cool to look at too. Inside, the place is simple yet clean. Your choice of sitting at a table or booth. Staff was very friendly including our waitress. Took our drink and food orders which arrived quite quickly. I ordered the Italian sausage and green pepper omelette with hash browns, dad got a Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. They forgot to smother my hash browns in cheddar cheese but they corrected that issue promptly. The food: very delicious and cooked right to order. I didn't even have to box any leftovers because I finished everything. Not to mention, the prices for the food were not bad at all. For two people, we paid less than $30 prior to tax and tip. On a sidenote: restrooms were fairly clean. Or at least the men's restroom was. If I am ever in Sebastian and want some breakfast, I will definitely drive out of the way for this place. A very good first impression, so much I would love to come back whenever I decide to geocache back down here again, possibly in Stormwater.

Country Ham N Egg Restaurant is my kind of hometown restaurant you just don't find anymore. The food is good, and the staff is unbelievably friendly. Being that they were quite busy for a Saturday morning, we chose to be seated at the counter and enjoy breakfast along with conversing with Sharon who was serving us with a smile. The restaurant has an unassuming ambience along with that comfortable home dining appeal.

I'd go again. It had a local kind of feel. They were really busy and the outside was filled too.

Great breakfast. I had the half waffle, eggs and bacon. Coffee was some of the best I've ever had. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast.

Down home local eatery. Very good soup and one of the best burgers I ever ate. Reasonable prices. Not fancy. Would definitely return.

Lamarca Prosecco ice cold, ice cold dark beer on draft for hubby... drinks were a win. The filet was delicious, the mashed potatoes were mediocre at best, and the vegetables that were described to my husband when he ordered were not what was on his plate. I had french onion soup and it had so much oregano (?) and onions in it, I couldn't eat it! The waitress seemed rushed from the onset of our experience, with only two other tables seated at the time when we arrived, and the extensive menu I would think they wouldn't rush you to order. It's a quaint area surrounding the restaurant with a nice park, ample parking and beautiful views of the docks and the water. it is a short walk from the restaurant, the restaurant is not on the water. Would we return, for a cold one maybe!

Never did I think that I would get such amazing, incredible food in Sebastian FL. First of all, the…read morefarm to table concept taking over an actual working farm is amazing to begin with, but then the actual restaurant is so lovely and well done that it makes it even better than expected. We had the bread service, calamari, and Thai wings as an appetizer. The bread service is AMAZING and absolutely worth paying extra for. You get a heaping basket of freshly grilled bread, and we chose to do both the marrow butter AND the Chimichurri and they were both excellent. The calamari and wings were good, and would probably order again, but I'd rather try one of the other amazing-sounding apps instead. For my main course I got Pad See Ew which is my favorite Thai dish ever. I was certainly not expecting to have delicious Thai food tonight but this truly knocked it out of the park. My party got spicy pepperoni pizza, sushi, and the salmon sandwich and all of those were also FANTASTIC. The best part about this spot is that you could come a dozen times and still try something new and DELICIOUS every time. Rarely does a restaurant manage to pull off insane wood fired pizza with fresh, generous helpings of sushi. The cherry on top was our server Andrew! He was beyond friendly and did such a fantastic job with everything. He was extremely attentive and made an already good dinner experience even better. Such an incredible spot and I wish I could come here more often! Will definitely visit the area more so I can try more things on the menu.

Been at bar for last few years and from all bartenders there now and ones that have moved on it has been spectacular service. Thanks Allie, Dan, Celest, Ms. T. And many others for great service. The Ambiance in the bar is great as people talk to each other not just who they came in with. This alone was a great thing. Find that a lot of the people from the Bar area Live in Sebastian to Barefoot Bay. The food is usually adequate to good. But doesn't come hot it is more a warm meal. Also, the seafood tends to be overcooked, not the cooks fault conveyor belts are not really a good way to do seafood maybe faster but not better. The steaks almost always s come out cooked very well and to temp as requested. Overall that is why a 4 star not a 5 star. Company needs to rethink out of the box for food prep and cooking. Previous management of restaurants years before all this automation. It would be a five star on service in Bar and Ambiance alone
