Such a cute little coffee shop! I loved the inside of the shop, it had a very homestyle feel to it. I got a nice summer spritz drink and it was great for a summer day. The service was very helpful and fast! They also had a pet adoption pop up outside and we got to visit a few cats. Overall great experience

Hands down best coffee.. no more explaining. Grab any latte on the menu.. you'll love it with a pastry! Easy access..walkable from Laguna beach.. feels like a vibe everytime. Coffee by the beach!

Ambiance is really cute and close to the beach. There's always been a line, so I try to go really early or during non-peak hours. Their lemonade is 5/5. Their matcha was fine, nothing to scream about. Service was friendly. I'll have to update this when I try their coffee.

Iced lavender latte and pistachio matcha are incredible, and the baristas are super friendly! Their syrups are a bit on the sweeter side so I'd recommend ordering lattes half sweet. Seating indoors is pretty limited but they have a nice outdoor patio and are just steps away from stunning ocean views at Heisler Park! They don't have a parking lot, only street parking.

Just a plain black coffee for me! Jedidiah is walkable to the beach front, servers are passionate about their customer loyalty & chatting up a storm with the regulars. My friend and I were there to relax after some yoga on the beach. Excellent day!

Came on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and the line wasn't too long. They are dog friendly so lots of cute pups to greet. They had a lot of sugary pastries and some yogurts/parfaits but that was all I saw for food. I ordered a flat white and a piece of pumpkin bread. Hubby ordered a drip and chocolate chip muffin. We had our drinks in about 5 mins. They had good amount or outdoor seating and a little bit of indoor seating. They even had a band outside until about 11 which was so fun. Only thing was they didn't have a restroom you had to walk about a block to the public bathroom at heisler park. The flat white was the best one I've had, so smooth, not bitter and great flavor. My pumpkin bread was pretty small for the price, don't know if just got a weirdly small piece. Hubby liked his drip and muffin, muffin wasn't anything too crazy just a regular chocolate chip muffin. We took our drinks to go and walked 1 block over the cliffs/beach access. It was away enough from the touristy area that it felt like a legit Laguna beach local place, which we liked!

good vibes and pastries looked gorgeous. But after metered parking, my broke bum just got a latte. Nothing special to look forward but it was better than the corporate overlords down the street. My first time here it was great! Service was excellent! Line was a little long, I was nervous, but it moved fast! The ambiance and vibe is super warm and welcoming. Pretty good! I got a 12oz salted maple latte with whole milk and added cinnamon and nutmeg to it and it was super good! You can tell from the color that it was a nicely balanced latte. The place is nice and comfy with lots of outdoor patio seating. It's the perfect distance from the beach too!

Stopped by this cafe when I was in the area recently. Parking was a bit challenging since it is only metered street parking. There's minimal indoor seating but there's a few tables outdoors. Service was friendly and not too slow. I ordered the matcha latte sweetened with oat milk. The matcha flavor was not very bold but it mixed well with the sweetener and the oat milk. It's a more watery drink but didn't feel diluted. If you want a bold and stronger matcha, this is probably not for you.

I was shocked to see that there was no line for coffee during lunchtime on a Friday! The barista quickly took my order (an iced oat decaf latte) and made sure to ask if I wanted any syrups. They called my name a few quick minutes later and their coffee was really good! Not bitter at all. They have plenty of outdoor seating and had a live DJ during the time I went.

Cute spot in a great location! Parking is all on the street. Inside there was a line but it went by quickly. I got their seasonal egg nog latte which was tasty & decently priced. My friend said she really liked her matcha. Inside is decorated nicely. It was a bit loud for the music but otherwise great place. Really love that you can grab something here & take a stroll next to the beach.

I was looking forward to trying this spot after hearing good reviews about it online! It was a cute little cafe with friendly staff. I was a little disappointed in the quality and taste of the matcha latte. Just by looking at the color of the matcha when I received it, I knew it wouldn't be very strong, and unfortunately I was right. There was too much milk and it was lacking a nice, strong matcha flavor. The latte was also okay. The muffin was yummy though! read more

We came here for the kitten adoption event held by Catmosphere Laguna and stayed for the food. The line was crazy long, but the service was so fast that it didn't matter. The little croissant tart thing we had was sooooo good. If you're ever looking to adopt a kitten and get some good food I def recommend this place! A Saturday experience at Jedidiah Coffee is a sensory visit you don't want to miss. Regardless if you prefer to sit outside or on the patio you can't go wrong--both options are modernly beautiful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable--which I love. And the GF Bananas Walnut was moist and packed with flavor--perfect combination with the Chai Tea Latte I had and the Matcha Latte my friend enjoyed. In the outdoor patio Jedidiah Coffee had live music and a feline adoption--helping other to find their new furry cat friend. I'm surprised to see this place has a rating of 4.5 because the coffee was mid at best. It tasted like Keurig coffee with store bought syrups added. Very mediocre coffee and the pastries were no better. The almond "croissant" did not taste fresh and the chocolate chip muffin was overly chewy. I'm guessing the good reviews are from people that haven't had good quality coffee beans before. I agree with another review that it is barely a step above gas station brew. The only good thing is the proximity to the beach. read more

I MUST GO BACK HERE!!! It's bound to become one of my favorite coffee places in Laguna for its charm, quality service and delicious pastries and coffee! Jedidiah coffee is rich in flavor and made with simple love by the baristas. The outdoor seating offers a stunning ambience while the indoor seating is designed to accommodate remote workers. The best part for me though was the CRONUT!!! I don't think I've ever had a better cronut in my life! It was airy, it had layer upon layers of soft dough, and the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar to bring the whole thing together. Love love loved this place and will be returning soon! read more

Love the location of this shop! I think the actual beans they use are good for the coffee. I enjoyed the latte I got. I wouldn't say it was groundbreaking but I also tend to go for the basic flavors so that's on me. Service is great and just the general vibe of the spot is very cute. Loved the service from Harper, she was so sweet and kind! The space is beautiful, very clean and light. Love the little disco balls everywhere. I ordered an iced latte (16 oz) and it was fine, nothing extraordinary. I like that the coffee flavor is strong, but I couldn't taste anything special about the espresso, no flavor notes for me, it just tasted strong. read more

Laguna Beach, CA Congrats to local Roaster Jedidiah Coffee's newly opened coffee shop! I walked in yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see this shop right on PCH, just a block North and a few blocks further South from Heisler Park. We've tried Jedidiah coffee at a community event a few years ago and enjoyed it. I was pleased to see the owner Steve behind the La Marzocco espresso machine today! The coffee shop is bright and airy and about a block North from Urth Cafe but on the opposite South side of PCH. Indoor and outdoor patio seating, they close at 4pm but were crowded around 3 PM. I can't wait to stop in and order coffee next time I am in the area. So happy to see all of these great coffee shops opening up around Laguna Beach. read more

I can say that the coffee was one of the worst I had in a while. We brought 3 different drinks, iced latte, iced mocha and an iced matcha latte. The drinks were SOO diluted. The espresso quality is horrible. And the iced matcha latte was super light green almost looked like an iced milk couldn't even tell there was matcha powder in it. My wife and I stopped here for a coffee today and really loved the coffee and the vibe of the place! I had an ordinary drip coffee and my wife a cappuccino. The coffee was great. The guy who served us behind the counter was very friendly. As a special treat we happened to stop by during the once a month (or so) when they host craft stalls and live music is played in the patio in front of the coffee shop. It made me feel that Jedidiah Coffee is more than a coffee shop but a center of the community at Laguna Beach. We'll be back! read more

The service was good. Very kind people. The quiche was not good at all. It was not warmed up well. The top seemed like it was baked days ago and the cheese on the top was hard. Although I took the top off, it still wasn't good. I guess because it wasn't warmed up well. I'm still giving this restaurant 5 stars because the people were super sweet. Coffee is good. Pasties are good. People are friendly. The cashiers can't or don't know how to explain how the rewards work. Sometimes it asks for your number the other it doesn't. They aren't sure how the cutomer knows when and if they have a reward to use. Sometimes you order a coffee for here and they make it to go. Overall its a cool coffee shop with outdoor seating. read more

I like this place more for the vibes, less for the coffee. We weren't super thrilled about either of our drinks. Wasn't bad but nothing special by any means, however the special thing about it was that staff was super cute and friendly and the location couldn't be more perfect. If it wasn't for location and staff, I definitely would've given 3 stars overall just purely on the flavor profile and quality of the beans of our drinks. read more

I discovered this coffee shop because they were a regular caterer at my college's events! They sell a delicious lavender matcha in an age where matcha drinks are either green tea flavored milk or taste like chalk. I don't suppose it's a top grade matcha; it's just a sweetened matcha powder. Whatever they use, however, is excellent quality. The matcha flavor is light and delicate yet can still hold its own, and the lavender syrup is absolutely delicious -- not overly aromatic, adding just the right level of complexity to the matcha drink. I also had an almond croissant. A bit pricey, but the croissant was perfectly buttery and flakey. I especially appreciate how clean Jedidiah Coffee is. Part of what drove me to visit them after seeing them at my college was that they made sure to keep the milk in a cooler whenever it wasn't being poured. This practice is maintained at the shop. As someone who is put in very serious danger if I get food poisoning (and who gets food poisoned really easily) this means a lot. I saw they were hosting a cat adoption event outside as well! I loved seeing the kittens while enjoying my matcha in their large patio. Overall, this is a great place to hang out if you're in Laguna Beach! read more

Lovely cafe! We got to sit at the nice big table inside to do some work. There were outlets for us to use and it wasn't too busy on a Wednesday morning/afternoon. The matcha and quiche were delicious and the service was friendly. Will be back! read more

History

Established in 2017.

Jedidiah Coffee started as an event catering coffee bar ran by the Munsey's in 2017. In 2019 we started roasting here in Laguna Beach and have been "keeping Laguna caffeinated" ever since! The 14 year dream of opening our own "mom and pop" brick and mortar Cafe happened in early 2024. Jedidiah was named in honor of our late son, who we lost at birth in 2011. Thank you for support our local, family owned business. We are passionate about craft coffee and even more so the entire coffeehouse experience! We look forward to having you.

I read that they roast coffees on site and I wouldn't doubt it! Unfortunately, while bean coffee was $23 for 200g, which is 7oz! My local roaster (Kean) would have the same price for 12oz. In their defense, they did have a massive bag that was $25. They had a bunch of great latte options, an espresso tonic, and tea options. They have pastries that looked delicious too. A great coffee and highly worth a visit!

I asked the cashier what he would recommend based on my preferences and he came through with an absolute killer recommendation. If you purchase whole beans, they will roast them for you. The process will take 30 minutes, so keep that in mind. You will also have the rest of the beans for 4 to 7 days before being able to use them. You can purchase the beans in three different size bags. Can't wait to go back! As an extra, the staff is very friendly and the coffee shop is super cute.

I also grabbed a 12oz bag of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural. It took about 20 minutes for them to complete the roasting process. After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.

The location is right near the Mountain Road beach access stairs and I took my coffee on a walk down to the water -- it was high tide, so the ocean was all the way up to the bottom of the steps, but there was a nice view and the ocean spray in the morning was refreshing.

You can definitely tell it's a beloved local shop with plenty of regulars. Overall, all three flavors were very delicious, with the stracciatella being my favorite. The regular cone and the 3 scoop portions are very generous and could probably be shared amongst 2 people. Afterwards, you may feel heavy from all the gelato, but its worth it. I can see why this place is very popular!

Sometimes delicious, sometimes very disappointing I've been coming here regularly for about two years and usually order the iced latte with vanilla foam. For a long time, it was always delicious. Perfectly smooth, flavorful, and the foam added something really special. In the past few months, though, the foam has become inconsistent. Since it's made in batches, sometimes it comes out perfect, but other times it's clumpy and uneven, with bits of cream cheese falling into the drink. It really changes the experience and makes it unappealing. Most recently, on July 17, the foam was extremely thick and dense, with so little of it that the swirl marks from pouring stayed visible on top of the coffee. I pointed it out to the girl with dark hair that had made it for me, but she noted that it's made in batches so may look different but that it's all the same ingredients. I already knew this, but that doesn't change the fact that it's genuinely unappealing and not okay to serve a drink like that. It didn't look or taste right, and unfortunately, I ended up throwing the drink away. I love the concept of the vanilla foam, it's what sets the drink apart, but consistency matters. If it can't be made reliably smooth, it might be worth rethinking the recipe or adjusting the process. Until then, I'll probably hold off on ordering it again, which is disappointing because when it's made well, it's excellent. read more

Jedidiah Coffee earns points for its warm, friendly service, but the charm ends there. The Americano I ordered was thin and flavorless, lacking the aroma and depth one would expect. The almond croissant was equally disappointing, lacking both texture and flavor. Additionally, the selection of pastries and food was quite limited. Add to that limited parking, long lines, and a slow wait for food, and the experience feels more frustrating than rewarding. Service alone can't carry a café until the coffee and food offerings improve. read more

Stopped by this coffee shop while visiting Laguna Beach, and it was such a great find! The place is super clean and has a trendy, welcoming vibe. By far, the best coffee house in Laguna ! Locally owned and operated with easy access from Pch .. It provides a great seating area outside and ample space to relax for friends or family ,and Steve and his wife make you feel at home ! I am impressed !! read more
