Bait & Switch. Advertized Prices and Price Match Guarantees have no meaning here. I purchased an advertised Heidt's IRS. I even verified the price and product 3 times with Graham, Tony and Bobby on 3 seperate phone calls. Jegs immediately took the money from my credit card without shipping the item. No, it was never shipped, but they took the money right away. A couple of days later an email shows up that they cancelled the order - The email said the item has been discontinued. Total BS. They raised the price a lot. But the morons even used the same part number as before. You can find the product still on thier website - and on the Heidts web page ! The Jegs' Sales Reps manager refused to talk to me on the phone, letting the sales rep take the heat. They refused to honor the advertised price. They refused to price match their own Advertisement. As you can see by the other reviews, this is not a reputable establishment. I found that Jegs has been bought out by Greenbriar Equity Group. I'm a little surprised Jeg's hasn't been reviewed before, since it's a local, nay, national giant in performance/aftermarket car parts. And I'm surprised I haven't reviewed them since I've been there several times, used stuff from there on my car, and pass it often. Well, anyone who knows cars knows Jeg's. Racing? Come here. Doing oddball mods to your car? Come here. They have a nice website and a pretty big store. Lots of stuff on display; knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices, considering how unusual some of this stuff is. I've gotten gauges, engine parts, etc., here. This time, we were looking for a steering wheel. For Baby K. Yes, that's odd, but the clerk was onboard, and helped as much as he could. See, she's almost 4 so those little toy ones for 1-year-olds don't cut it. We need a small, pretty realistic one so she can be a backseat driver. We may end up with something for a gocart or a computer game. The clerk suggested just getting her one of those little Jeeps, and I'm sure she would be thrilled, but we really don't have anywhere to drive it and I'm not trailering a toddler vehicle to the playground... I've ordered twice from Jegs. (Shouldn't it be "Jeg's"?) Order #1 - They charged me the wrong sales tax - more than double what it should be. It is super easy to verify someone's correct tax; all you need is their address. This is the only business I know of that can't get it right. After two phone calls trying to take care of it, in which both individuals told me they couldn't fix it but knew who could, nothing has happened, and it's been more than a week. Order #2 - I ordered a Jegs-brand automatic transmission on November 29th. The order confirmation said the estimated ship date was January 1st. With two days to go (December 29th), they send me a new estimated ship date - April 5th! The 3 people I spoke to about it weren't rude, but neither were they helpful; nobody could explain how in the space of one month the delivery date slipped four months, or why they didn't tell me sooner. Nor did they do anything at all to make it right; "sorry" is all I got. Sorry, indeed. I've done business with their competitor, Summit Racing, for over 30 years, and Summit on their worst day is better than my two experiences with Jegs. read more

Very poor experience. I placed an online order that was held up because they wanted to further verify my information, which is fine, but their customer service is so poor that I was on hold for frustratingly long periods and transfers before finally getting the order verified. When my delayed order arrived the parts didn't fit because the information on Jegs' website is wrong. I confirmed this with the parts manufacturer who said that I would have to return the items to Jegs and replace the order with the P/N's provided by the manufacturer. Oh, but they want me to pay for return shipping the wrong parts that don't fit because Jegs fitment information is wrong. JEGS' self-proclaimed "Legendary" Guaranteed" customer service is any thing but legendary!!!!! Keep in mind, the usual Covid disclaimers and delays applied when I placed my original order.... JEGS website showed an item as "Ships Today" I ordered using a discount code where the more you spend, the bigger the discount. The order was billed and paid in full. (B/O item on own charge). Only after was the inventory updated to "Ships directly from manufacturer." With no date available. I waited 2 weeks, checking JEGS website for shipping details, finally calling JEGS. Covid and Christmas delays blah blah blah, I will call you back with details as soon as I get them. Within the hour I get the same "We're sorry...." Email with the same reference to no existing information but a date 4 weeks from now. TODAY, I got an email from JEGS to HURRY, before they're gone!!! With a picture of the B/O item. I call Jegs, after a lengthy hold, a nice and delightful guy confirmed they had 5 parts in stock, and shipping would be TODAY... from JEGS, not the manufacturer. Perfect, and I gave him my B/O info and said to fulfill THIS order... Another hold later, and YES, we will ship it today, an email confirmation and tracking will arrive within the hour or so.... Three hrs pass and I get a voicemail telling me NO, we aren't shipping said item... Waiting lists, B/Os blah blah blah, but if I cancel the order, they will ship the FULL Price item, today. Otherwise, I can just wait until the end of January or whenever for the part I already paid for will be ready... but we can't say IF it'll be ready in January even. Cancel the order... Here's the greatest part... No Refund... until the manufacturer confirms my cancelation.... It's not a custom item. It's a B/o drop shipping... Why wait?!? Why charge my card to begin with?!?! ITS always been a delayed/undetermined BO... No timetable given beyond once the order is confirmed will a credit be issued in 3-??? Business days.... Complete and incompetence in the parts department with them sending me the wrong parts for four months now five times in a row and they just sent the duplicate wrong parts that they already sent me and I had to send back, this is cost me an extreme amount of money and a huge amount of embarrassment, this car has been on Jack's for 4 months. There is no reason somebody can't send me a simple block plate that will fit my car it is a very common C4 transmission I don't understand the problem. The wrong torque converter, the wrong block plate, the wrong flexplate, the wrong linkage, the wrong dipstick, every single part that I have ordered has been wrong now they're sending me the same wrong Parts all over again and they are taking up a huge amount of my time. Update!!! Customer service was great when I finally got through. Explained my order is showing back order for the replacement part but if it come sooner they'll send it. I got an email letting me know it should be towards the end of the month to get my seat and I just got the new one this afternoon. Pleasant surprise. Thanks for taking accountability and fixing my issue. My seat came broke with the threads popped out. I emailed about my order and have not received a response. I'm currently 1hr waiting for a customer service person to answer for the 1st time about my damaged seat. This is not the right type of unrivaled customer support. I hope things can be fixed in a timely fashion and will be happy to adjust my review but as of right now this has been terrible. Customer service answered and sent the return label I just have to wait a month to get the product again. read more

Company claims that they were "hacked" and all forms of communication are met with out of service tones and kicked back emails. However, they are still emailing customers regularly with ads and the website is still taking orders and payments. When concerned about a missing order, I was assured I'd be refunded or other options as I chose when back online. That was almost 2 weeks ago. They then that night pulled all social media too and blocked messages. Something shady going on here. Don't tie up your money in products you may not receive, refunds you might never get, and with a company who refuses to use what communication options they DO HAVE to communicate with paying customers. Ordered wire wheels 8 months ago from Jegs racing two different sizes . Received 2 wheels two months ago only took 6 months for those , with 2 still on order which my delivery date has been continually pushed back due to what Jegs says is due to back orders , called customer service many times was either disconnected or told a story . This month February 2023 again notified wheels back ordered till March of this year and was told the wheels will ship directly from vender , called the vender (manufacturer) and they never received a PO from Jegs for my second set of wheels which were ordered the same day as the first set and showed no order on the books for the wheel size and bolt pattern I ordered. the wheels I ordered the manufacturer said they do not even produce that offset and bolt pattern which Jegs offered on their website . This was a total waste of time and their customer service is useless and never once asked me to stay on hold while they called the vendor to check on my order. Will never buy from them again . I ordered a different size wheel direct from manufacturer with there knowledge and help and received them in 3 days I did give one star for the two wheels a received 6 months later read more

I ordered a motor from jegs.com on Jan. 31st 2023. Prior to and during my ordering of it, they said it would be shipping out on February 2nd. While I was placing the order, they told me they would be happy to ship it to my friend's house, who is the mechanic installing the motor. The day after I placed the order, they sent me an email to inform me that the expected shipping date is now March 31st, and they called me to say that they have to ship it to a commercial business, a complete contraction of both the ship date and shipping-to location. I then bent over backwards to talk a local commercial business into accepting the motor into their freight deliveries for me. On March 31st, I waited till about 4pm to hear from them, and when I heard nothing from them, I called their customer service number and chose the order status option. They said, and I quote, "There's about a 50/50 chance it could be shipped out by April 17th". He then went on to say that it would be shipping to my friend's house, he apparently had no idea I already changed plans with them to ship it to a business. So I have no idea when it is shipping or where it's shipping to, Jegs doesn't seem to either. Every time I've dealt with their phone customer service, hold times are 40+ minutes, the hold music is obnoxious, and any time I express polite dissatisfaction with their bold-faced lies they just threaten to cancel the order, which I've already waited months for. In addition to their deliberate dishonesty, it's extremely egregious that I paid extra for a 1-year warranty, under the impression I would become in possession of it within weeks, but the warranty starts the day you order it, not the date you receive it, so the 1-year warranty I paid for is going to be a 9.5-month warranty at best, assuming I ever even receive a motor from them. In conclusion they'll lie to you repeatedly to get your money, and after they get your money, all you get in return is excuses. I'd recommend buying directly from manufacturer instead of dishonest and predatory vendors like jegs. read more

I have been a customer of Jegs for more than 3 decades and have had good luck with them. However, the last 2 orders I have placed with them have been less than desirable. Last summer I ordered an electronic fuel injection system for a dual quad application. When I went to the retail store only half of the system was there, I had to go to the warehouse and pick up the rest. This summer I ordered upper and lower a-arms for my car on the 15th of May. I received the lower a- arms on the 18th of May. I have made multiple inquiries into the whereabouts of the lower a-arms only to be told that they have been pulled and therefore I could not go to the warehouse and get them. To start, i ordered my parts online , i do not know if this location has anything to do with online sales. That being said , go to the store if u can because they suck horribly online! Cant get thru to a live person, ordered my parts 10 days ago and a tracking number wasnt available until yesterday and i had to make several calls to get it. They are flooding my inbox withs sales flyers and nonsense but nothing about my order . Tracking number , which i got on 7/20, shows my parts were delivered on 7/12, the day i placed the order! The customer service department are terrible, I had to follow up twice and the last time I was told to call PayPal direct and sort it out myself... DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! Save your time and money and buy from a more reliable parts company such as Summit or Classic Industries. You will waste your money with Jegs and you will get ripped off. I ordered a grill from this company and after weeks of not receiving the item, I also saw an email that said "get it before it's gone". I was told the item was on back order but yet the item showed in stock on the email I received. After calling and being on the phone for almost an hour, Customer Service finally informed me that I needed to cancel my order and re-purchase it in order for it to ship. This made no sense to me but of course I went ahead and canceled the order and they informed me my order would be shipped out that today. After waiting weeks for the item (with no updates) and trying to be patient due to "Covid delays" I still never received my item. FedEx apparently showed that they delivered it but it never arrived at my doorstep and I have video surveillance to confirm this. After calling Jegs for over a week straight (and waiting for over an hour each time just to speak to someone) and sending emails back and forth, Jegs informed me the package showed delivered even though it was never delivered. They were not willing to compensate me or do anything to make it right. They refused to open a claim and basically told me that they would rather lose a customer who spends thousands of dollars with them, than to make it right. I didn't want to pull the military card or the LE card but I showed proof of this to them and my word was still not good enough. Terrible customer service and terrible business all the way around. I will be making sure none of my fellow LE or military buddies will be getting ripped off by this company. And I will warn my friends and family. This has been an absolute fiasco in the fact the first order for the clam shell puller came to me in pieces, mostly parts missing, FedEx thru it around and the cardboard box was destroyed. Surprised any of it arrived, Then on the 20th of September the replacement was to be shipped, the original was returned via FedEx, but seems like the replacement can not be shipped back to me, I have called on this a few times and seems like Columbus cannot do their jobs. I understand delays due to dead heads that do not wish to work, but damn 10 days and still no status of the reshipment? I was told that it would be shipped right away, via usps and this seems to be an issue. If you all do not have the part in stock then say so. Now wit is going o n the next month October and I still do not have the tool I need. Where has the quality of service and just general information on orders go with your company? Has this gotten to if you do not like it just too damn bad? It seems like there is nothing but cancel or put up with very bad service with this company. I ordered a radio for sons 16th birthday. The sales associate and paperwork indicated it would arrive 3 days before his birthday. It arrived 2 days after. When I called on the day it was due, the supervisor Pierre just kept asking me what he could do about it telling me he was at the mercy of the manufacturer. I reminded him that he already had my money and he hadn't lived up to his commitment because I bought the radio from Jegs. I suggested he provide a discount, he begrudgingly refunded me $20, which I gave to my son. The radio arrived two days late. I took it to have professionally installed, the radio did not function properly as it has no reception. I called back and was told that I would have to ship the radio back before they would send me a Replacement. I told them this was unacceptable that when the new one was delivered I would have the shop swap them out at the same time. They then informed me a new radio would be unavailable for a month. Obviously unacceptable to me they offered to call the manufacturer and get in touch with me the next day. It's been 3 days, no one has called me back. This company is awful to work with.
