Have had wonderful service every time we've visited. We always start with the soft pretzel appetizer because it's fluffy and delicious, and the Dijon mustard slaps. My husband goes between getting the lite bowl and the bison burger. He loves them both. I always get the black bean felafel wrap, because I am vegan... They are always happy to swap out the tzatziki sauce in that for their lemon vinaigrette, and it works out great for me. It would be awesome if there was another dish or two that could at least be modified to be vegan, but maybe there just isn't a need at the moment. The vibe is casual, and family friendly. I definitely recommend to anyone that hasn't tried it yet. It's easily our go to in downtown Woodstock. read more

I'm so sad because I've had so many great experiences here and don't think I can ever come back. Came here tonight with my family. Once we got the bill, the kids grilled cheese was $10 but the menu said $8. When we asked if maybe the fries were extra, she said the two dollars were for taxes. That obviously makes no sense so she left to go talk to her manager. When the waitress came back she said "I just spoke with the manager and she said she will take off $2, but next time you will need to pay the 'full price.'" I asked, will the menu be updated? Word for word, she said "I don't know, I just clock in and clock out." I asked for the manager. The manager came over and squatted down and said "The waitress (I forget her name sorry) told me what happened but I want to hear your story." What a bizarre thing to say. There is no story. Your menu says one price, and you charged me another. That's it. What upset me is the manager acting like she was doing me some big favor by charging me the menu price. Instead of just saying sorry she continued to make things worse. She kept saying I was upset and I wanted to "hash it out". I said hash what out? I said the only thing that upset me was her saying next time I need to pay the full price as if I did something wrong for bringing it up. She wouldn't stop. She said, "It's our fault, right?" "It's our discrepancy, right?" She was so passive aggressive and clearly upset. I wanted to let her know what she said was rude. She laughed and put her head down. I said I was done with this conversation and she doesn't know how to talk to people. She blocked me as I had gotten out of my seat to leave and get my daughter out of her high chair and she said "I want to talk to you like a human". What in the world? I said I am leaving and you're blocking me. Please let me out. She didn't move and said, "I want to make this right". I asked again and she finally stepped aside. As we leave she speaks louder behind us saying "I'm SO sorry I ruined your night" sarcastically. (I never said that). Then she followed up with "I hope you have a great night". Never have I ever encountered anything close to this. If she said, Oh I'm sorry we changed our prices and haven't changed the menu yet... I get that. Why make me feel bad? I told her I have always had good experiences here and told my friends to come here. I hope the owner reaches out to me so I can feel good about come back. As a business owner myself, I would want to know how employees in trusted positions are interacting with customers. read more

We went here on a weekend and it was really crowded. Our service was extremely slow, both for placing our order, and receiving our food. We made reservations, and were still there for over 2 hours after being seated just to eat. We order the bison-wagu burger, and the brewers burger, which where ridiculously small, over cooked, and dry. I expected a burger that was bigger than a slider, and better tasting than cook out for $15. The lettuce in the salad wasn't very crispy, the tomatoes were wrinkly, and it also came with the wrong dressing. In addition, we ordered a juice, that was packed to the rim with ice, which made it difficult to drink the 3 sips that were in it. I wouldn't recommend coming here to eat, at least not for a burger, just go to Canyon. However, if you're looking to just have a drink, this might be your place. They do have great tasting hard seltzers..... read more

Not friendly towards younger crowd. Me and a group of friends walked by Jekyll and decided to try it out, moment we walk upstairs every single employee within eye radius turned towards us as if we didn't belong there. All of us are in our mid twenties, we weren't being obnoxious or loud, didn't even have anything to drink, simply just walked in and heads started turning like they never seen 22-25 year olds... staff directed us to security and he denies a (23 year old!!!) because his ID was (vertical)... We didn't argue, didn't cause a scene, simply smiled and walked out and found a new location. This place is more for ages 35+ or families, they made that very clear giving us the stink eye and denying someone for the dumbest reason. I normally don't write reviews, but for how funny and dumb the situation was, it gets one. When you actually get in, mostly filled with first time job, inexperienced, non-caring high schoolers taking your order and pouring your beer. Food is fair price depending on what you get. read more

We come here often for the mussels and pretzel. When location first opened it was slim picking off the menu but that has changed since. Portions are generous, but food can be a bit inconsistent in preparation. The biggest complaint is the wait staff- too many! Our waitress is always helpful but obviously wanting to turn tables fast. Sorry but this is the kind of place people want to sit, relax and enjoy the company. We've gone several times and last time we split the bill (1 app, 2 non alcoholic drinks, 1 entree and 1 dessert) the bill was wonky with my friend paying almost $8 more than I did. Followed up with the manager later on the phone who was also puzzled as to why the bill was incorrectly split. Less wait staff means having the time to properly training the staff which leads to less mistakes. read more

My wife and I went to the new location in downtown Woodstock last week for a date dinner. The service was great. We were seated and waited on by two separate people who were attentive and cheery. I am not a beer drinker, but my wife liked the selection they had on tap. The reason I am only giving this location 3 stars is because of the food. I was very excited about the Bison-Wagu burger, but was very disappointed when it arrived. It made me think of the old Burger King commercials of the old lady saying "Where's The Beef?". Seriously, if you are touting a Bison burger [which would taste amazing on it's own], make it bigger than a McDonald's burger, which this was not. The taste of the cheese and the sauce was great, but they could have put a veggy burger in there and I wouldn't have known. Seriously, when it arrived, I could not see the meat of the burger around the bun, that's how small it was. The atmosphere is nice and the employees are great, but $18 for a tiny burger was not what I was looking for. read more

Reasons for two stars... Beer good, food was blah. $16 burger and $10 for a bowl of soup should be a quality entree. Chowder was cold, returned and replacement was luke warm at best...not close to hot! Service wasn't good. The young lady waiting on us messed up our order. When food was brought out and placed in front of us.. we were like... this isn't what we ordered. Wrong table's food handed to us or placed in front of us on the table then taken up and carried to another table and served! Two plates were touched by our group! Restrooms were not clean. Jekyll's third location opened in downtown Woodstock in mid-December 2022. Since welcoming our daughter a few months ago, hubs and I have yet to dine-in to a restaurant with our little one. We have missed dining at Jekyll in downtown Alpharetta and was stoked this was opening up in Woodstock closer to our home. We ordered takeout online and we're just as pleased with our experience as we've ever been at the Alpharetta location. The food was delicious, as usual, and the staff kind. My faves are still the crab dip, the wedge salad with steak, and the brewery steak. I love how sparkly new this location looks inside and we look forward to dining in for the full experience in a couple of months. The bar looks really neat - though I was disappointed to see those metal chairs around the dining room like in Alpharetta because they are so uncomfortable! If you love Jekyll, or have never been, definitely swing on by you won't regret it! read more

Woodstock needed a new place with a vibe and great food and Jekyll Brewing knocked it out of the park in my humble opinion. The decor is simple but elevated. Who knew the gorgeous, delicate hanging lights were recreated in the likes of "hops". Too cute!!! My husband and I solely intended on walking in to grab a beer and then head to Century House but we found a spot at the bar and sat while he perused the beer menu. The bartender also gave us a food menu and I couldn't help but scan over it. My eyes immediately widened when I saw oysters as a starter. The more I read, the more intrigued I was. There was a gentleman at the end of the bar that asked if it was our first time visiting. We said yes and he was kind enough to give us recommendations since he had tried almost, if not all items on the menu. He said the BBQ oysters were the best he had and if we didn't like them he would pay for them. Being that oysters were the first thing I wanted to try anyway, we ordered them. Turns out he wasn't kidding, the oysters were amazing! Also some of the best I've ever had. We proceeded to order wings and those were really good as well! The pork sliders were AH-MAZING. Spicy but oh so good! All in all, I will totally return. Can't wait to try the smash burger as I heard it's the best in downtown Woodstock. My wife and I had dinner with drinks and found the beers to be tasty. For our meals , I had the fish and chips and my wife had the turkey burger. The turkey burger was very good, but the fish was not. The fish had a mushy consistency and was not very appetizing. Drinks are great, food was also amazing. I've been before and know the crab dip and steak wedge are phenomenal. This time the wedge was not as great but it was a busy Mother's Day and they seemed short staffed so i completely understand. Elizabeth was amazing. She was so sweet and i felt like i was being a little difficult but she reassured me everything was okay and fixed it! She also got me a dessert after my salad issue which was more than i could ask for. She was amazing, even with me being a little difficult she was so happy to help and was smiling the whole time. She was so welcoming and so genuine. She made it a very pleasant experience. The manager on staff was also super sweet and handled my issue promptly.
