They are very nice and the shop is clean and decorative. But, the man who was doing my nails not once, but FIVE times, stopped in the middle of doing my nails and texted on his phone. It was in his lap the entire time. The work they did although, was excellent. Except, they over charged my mother in law by $20 dollars. They name own prices on French manicures and I suppose this one was worth $20! This is uncalled for in my opinion, so they lost a star and we will not be coming back. Terrible service......again. Live local so thought I would give it another chance. First time they used no chip nail polish instead of regular polih that just wiped off. Today the no chip they put on looks like chicklets; 6 layers of powder. Looks awful. Asked for grey polish got blue. never have matching dip colors to polish. Im so disappointed in my service today! I went to get my eyebrows done and they messed them up! I called and jen told me to go back and get them fixed , I was apprehensive the same girl "fixed" them and she messed my eyebrows even worse. I tried pointing it out to her and she tried saying if she kept taking some off she'd make them look uneven! Ummmm I came back because she left them uneven . I came today for acrylics. The nails are ok but not nearly as well done as others places I've been. There was a nail that wasn't smooth. When I asked to get it fixed, they were very rude. I was told I picked a bad time to ask because they were busy. The gentleman that fixed it did a very sloppy job. When I asked him to fix if he told me to do it myself. I asked to talk to a manger and was told there is no manager. Another concern is cleanliness. Tables were not that clean and were not cleaned between guests. I was very disappointed. Would not recommend them and Will not return. Procedures for cleanliness really need to be checked. read more

I got a no-chip acrylic full set and pedicure the day before I left for vacation, and within 2 days of being on vacation the polish on my nails started chipping and the acrylic started lifting! I couldn't call and ask to come back in to get them fixed until just about 2 weeks later because I was on vacation. When I finally did call, I spoke to Jen herself, and she told me I was probably due for a fill anyways so there was nothing they could do. I absolutely am due for a fill, but I will not be going here to get it. I recently moved to New Lenox from Downers Grove and have tried multiple nail salons in New Lenox and was disappointed every time. I found this place and thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I LOVE it! the staff is friendly, the salon is clean, the owner is wonderful and they do great work. I will only go to Jen's Nails from now on. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I have been getting my nails done for about 15 years now and have lived in numerous states and cities being that my husband travels for the pipeline. This is for sure the absolute best place I have ever been to! I walked in at 6:45pm on a Friday Easter weekend. They close at 7. Nate gladly accepted me at his station and immediately started cracking jokes. I asked him to do something that he has never done. It was a gel ombre french manicure. I thought for sure, like all other places, he would do a rush job on me and I'd waste my money. He did excellent work even not knowing how to do it. The person next to me was also doing a difficult gel set. He did amazing too! It looked exactly like the picture from pinterest. The owner Jen calls everyone by their name and walks around looking at all the jobs everyone was doing and would talk to them about it. Another plus, I have terrible hearing and always struggling to understand what my technicians were saying through their broken english. Not here! Their English was perfect and they very rarely spoke to eachother in their native language. If they did they tell you what they said. I actually saw some people come in that were at the grocery store next door and specifically just came in to say hi. They were greeted with hugs and called by their names. I'll never go anywhere else and I live an hour away. Part of me doesn't even want to tell you my techs name because I don't want him to get super busy and not be able to get in. One of his regulars called his personal phone and asked if she could get in. She couldn't as I was his last customer. I should also Include that they were slammed! I called Luxe Nail salon first as it was just a little closer to where I was in town that day. They answered the phone and I asked if I came in right now would they be able to fit me in without rushing. The woman said they very busy so I said I'd just go to Jen's. We recently moved to Frankfort and I have been looking for a new nail salon to try that's close by. I decided to try out Jen Nails today for a no chip. I called ahead of time to see if they accepted walk-ins and the owner, Jen, was very nice and told me to come right on in. I got there around 4:15PM and Jen greeted me, had me take a seat and gave me the no chip colors to look at. I am a huge fan of the OPI color Big Apple Red and Jen was able to find a match for it perfectly. I did not have to get anything taken off since it was a fresh no chip, so I was in and out in about 30 minutes. The tech that worked on my nails was Bryan. Bryan has only been working at this salon for about a week, but he's been doing nails for quite some time. He did an amazing job! He was so careful and neat when working on my nails. The staff is very friendly and I love how they greet everyone by their names. Overall, I was very pleased and I will definitely be returning again in 2-3 weeks! read more

It's two days before Christmas. I get it. Everyone is busy. I called to see if there was a wait and was told no. Walked in 10 minutes later and the place was completely packed. I asked if there was a wait and was told no, someone is available to help me. Fifteen minutes later I'm still in the pedi chair waiting for someone to start. I get places are busy, but wish they would have been honest with me so I could have come back another time. I come to relax and unwind and sitting here waiting without knowing when they will start is not relaxing at all. Very disappointed by the lack of customer service. read more

This place is horrible. Lets start with not only did my $40 manicure and pedicure take only 20 total but it was terribly done. I got my pedicure first and while waiting for the guy to do my nails I had to clean nailpolish off of my skin on my toes because it was sloppy. Then my mani was the worst! My nails were filed unevenly and in a lopsided round shape (eww) and the polish isn't even close to the sides. It is also obvious where the clear coat was missed on my nails. Its been 2 day and my nails are chipped - what a waste of money. Also, this place is disgustingly dirty. I stuck my hand in the light to dry and was greeted with dirt and grime. Terrible. I will never be back and will make sure I tell everyone in the area. There were also no prices on the wall and the owner - i'm assuming - said that she has all the prices in her head and to ask her anything. I decided to come here on a whim and I wasn't impressed. My nail tech Helen was polite in the beginning but quickly got huffy as I wasn't relaxed enough for her. Sorry, but I'm not one of those women who go like gumby when getting my nails done. Then I paid and realized I couldn't put a tip on the card. So I said I would be back with cash, and again got an eye roll and a big huff from her. At that point I seriously considered not coming back with a tip but I did to prove I wasn't stiffing her. 20 bucks for a regular manicure, I don't think I'll be back. It wasn't anything special and the attitude from the staff isn't worth it. Editied to add: Not even 24 hours later and my pinky got a serious chip as hanging clothes on a hanger. read more

The customer service was fantastic, all the technicians were so sweet and you can tell they take the time to get to know their customers. The only issue I had was with my actual nails. I got a full set of acrylics and the sides of my real nails are completely exposed and the nail is pretty far from my cuticle. Other than that, it was very nice. read more

I am always happy with my nails after visiting Jen Nails. I have seen every one of their nail technicians and they are all excellent. They always get me in and out quickly and they do an excellent job. The no chip manicure lasts at least two weeks and my pedicures last at least a month. They all work very hard and make the effort to get to know the clients and try to entertain and make it fun at the same time. I'll never go to a different nail salon. My mom and I went in here for a pedi yesterday and all I can say is I'm glad I picked Jen Nails!!! I read reviews for several places and have been past Jen Nails a million times so I decided to give it a try. I haven't had a pedicure in about 3 yrs and have pretty dry feet, I wasn't able to stop looking at my feet all day yesterday, and it still looks like i just stepped out of the salon today. The sea salt scrub was fantastic!!!! The staff was very very nice and accommodating. My mom's feet are VERY ticklish and the tech was understanding and did her best not to make my mom feel uncomfortable (even when she had everyone in the whole place cracking up). So happy with the service will definitely go back and am going to recommend this place as much as possible!!!! read more

I'm a newbie in town, I'm still looking for a good nails salon. My neighbor recommended Jen's Nails, so I went there to try it out. I absolutely love love this place! The shop it's so elegant looking, there are no fume like other salons. I was greeted nicely at the door, a very friendly lady helps me through the long process of picking and matching my pedi/mani gel color, I usually have a hard time making decision. Everyone there gets along so well and they are so hilarious to their clients. I feel like a comedy house, so relax and enjoyable. I was so satisfied with the result, from pedicure to my gels nails. My friend and I had been searching for salons in the area to get mani-pedis done before my birthday. We decided to go to Jen Nails because when my friend called, the prices were not bad and she said they were the friendliest of all salons she had called. We didn't make appointments, as they mentioned that it wasn't really necessary. When we got there, we picked out our colors and both got seated for our pedicures right away. We were next to each other through the pedicure and manicure both, which was very nice. Both services were amazing and I was very pleased with the results. While we were getting our manicures, the staff made us feel very welcome. They actually even had a way of making everyone getting their nails done feel like we were all friends that came together and had known each other for years. The staff was very entertaining and they really seemed to enjoy their jobs. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 were for a few small reasons. While getting my pedicure, the girl doing it seemed almost rushed through certain parts, as if she was trying to keep up step for step with the guy doing my friend's pedi. I don't understand why, but I would've liked for her to go her own personal pace. Also, when we were picking out our colors, once we picked our manicure color the girl who was helping us INSISTED on picking our pedicure colors herself, not us picking them. I didn't go in there expecting to get both pink fingernails and toenails, but I did like the color she picked for my toes so I went with it. Lastly, mine was all very organized because the same person did my manicure and pedicure, but my friend got 2 different people which seemed to leave a lack of communication. She got a completely different color than she picked for her fingernails, and never got a top coat on her toe nails because they do it while your manicure is drying. She was happy with the nail color, and it was nice, but I would've been upset had I ultimately not gotten to pick the color for either of my nails. Overall, for the price I really liked this place.
