Prices have gone up over the years, but my latest long hair trim in Dec'24 was $35 plus tip. They take cash or check only! We usually call ahead for an appointment with Elaine, but there were several walk ins that were seen within 15-20min and some with no wait at all, so even without an appointment you can get seen quickly. My haircut took 20-25 min, but it will depend on how much you request to be cut. Make sure you communicate what you want upfront, as they don't do too much confirming while doing the cut (aka asking if you like this length after a first cut). Again, no frills but it gets the job done and is very affordable.

I asked for a rounded haircut with lots of layers and face-framing pieces and I showed her my inspo photos as well. She first washed my hair and then got started on the cut. Yessenia did an amazing job! She was friendly and professional and gave me exactly what I requested. I wasn't sure whether to go with lighter or heavier curtain bangs/face-framing pieces, and she knew exactly what would suit me when she suggested sticking with lighter face framing. She also somehow managed to style my frizzy Indian hair perfectly without using much tension on the brush, which was shocking to me. This is such a common mistake made by people called "stylists"! I told her I wanted very fine highlights that blended in well. I EVEN brought multiple pictures for her to see. I ended up with orange tinted thick "highlights". Most noticeable was a thick highlight the looked like a band of orange going down both sides of my head! When I told her about this terrible hair color she said she was sorry. but she was too busy to fix it. Then several hours later she called me and told me that I could come back after 8 p.m. (I live 45-60 minutes away) and she would fix it after cooking dinner for her husband! This person does not understand English! She also does not understand how to highlight hair! I showed many pictures of what I wanted and she said she could do it. There was a bit of a language barrier between my stylist and I but we were able to work around it! Because of that, I unfortunately didn't get his name. Clean environment although it seems that none of the photos from their website are actually theirs? If you do not speak Chinese, BRING PHOTOS! You should bring photos anyways but it will greatly increase the chances that you'll end up with a haircut you like. If you want to be extra prepared, use Google Translate to describe what you specific want from the photos. I provided a photo but also let my stylist know that I'd be willing to listen to any modifications he had for me, hence why the cut is longer than the inspo pic. I'm relatively happy with my hair. I wish there was an option for slightly more time (cut took about 50 mins, scheduled for an hour). My hair is a bit bulky/thick so I would've liked the sides and maybe bangs to have been thinned out a bit. I definitely could've asked but didn't know if it would have been done in the allotted time.
