Newcomer am I...Tuesday morning at 7:10am here first time (told by my bingo friends to try) my family of 4 from Culver City visiting. Decided to do early breakfast. Everyone enjoyed the service and the ambiance decor of the 50s theme & license plates along the walls. The breakfast was on point...a huge breakfast burrito , pancakes with strawberries , California BLT , lite breakfast plates. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast selection. Foods good but servers are a little pushy and like to stand around and talk to each other instead of picking up finished plates or refilling drinks. Had one server and the cashier yelling across the restaurant to each other on what their job duties are. No apologies to customers for being rude and cooks in the back just laughing out loud at them. Disappointed in the mega skillet nothing but potatoes bell pepper and onion no meat and no eggs. For almost 15.00 that's just not right Salsa was nasty tasted old. Service was good my waitress was amazing we go here often but I don't think I'll be returning. read more

Due to COVID, I ordered delivery. I ordered a waffle and spaghetti and meat balls. I got a Waffle and asked for extra syrup just in case. There were crackers in the bag as well, which was confusing. The waffle was springy and fluffy. It wasn't too thick or densely packed. The butter wasn't overly sweet and the syrup was nicely thick. Cutting it into pieces and eating it was delicious and very easy. My spaghetti and meatballs wasn't too salty, the meatballs were juicy, and I just wish the noodles were softer. The salad was light and the Italian dressing was quite sweet. Overall, this was a nice and filling meal. I'd definitely come back to dine in. read more

My husband ordered two orange juice and one French toast. My baby and I split strawberry pancake combo with one coffee and chocolate milk for my son. Left a three dollar tip at the table bc that's all I had in cash. The man at the register told me the total was 39$ when I got home and checked my bank I was charged $45! Why do small diners do this? When I first started going here it was very good . The last few times weren't good. I ordered the BLT, was supposed to have avocado but didn't, the fries were brown like they were twice cooked in dirty grease. It was like the sandwich was thrown together with no care. What better than a hearty bfast after a early morning workout? Jenny's is a cute decorated dinner located in the small city of of Highland and is nearby the freeway. The place really seemed like a locals joint. I ordered the Chicken fried steak breakfast that included potatoes, eggs and toast. The prices are reasonable here but I noticed the chicken fried steak was on the smaller side. The gravy was average and I was not overly impressed with my meal. Ashley wasn't very friendly. I was asking something and she just started walking away as I was speaking..she's borderline rude. No smiles and sees like she just didn't want to help us. I asked for ice water with lemon and she forgot the lemon my husband had to ask again. Worst experience ever! Went here 3 weeks ago for lunch, nobody greeted us when we entered the restaurant. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated which is no big deal. All the ladies working that day were cold and not even smiling. The food were okay. While I was eating, the lady server with a long black hair approached our table and asked me to hand her the syrups from our table and she literally grabbed them from my hand as I handed it to her which is VERY RUDE. She did not even say thank you. I lost my appetite after that. I just paid our bill and left and never ever coming back again. The lady with a blond hair at the cashier did not even say thank you and ask how was our experience was. I keep telling everybody that I know about this experience. We should have gone elseswhere and supported a different local restaurant instead. I have been to different diners but this is the worst ever. Obviously, the ladies that are working there don't care about customers and are just working to earn money. I was not expecting a 5 star service from this diner. But atleast, make your customers feel welcome and don't be rude. You guys need training in customer service. We just wasted our time and money there. Pretty decent sized diner. The food was good. The decor was kind of retro. I liked it. There were only two waitresses when I went so it seemed a bit slow. I sat in a booth with my two year old who kept trying to climb over to the other side. The prices were pretty standard in comparison to similarly served food. Honestly I wasn't blown away and or not was I turned off. I think if I go again I'll go with the entire family to see if I get a different vibe. One thing that kind of bothered me is I had forgotten my wallet in the car. I saw one of the waitresses sitting at a table and asked if I could sit my food with her while I went to grab my wallet. I've been to Jenny's a few times before and the food and service were good. However, a friend and I went there yesterday and did not have a good experience at all. First off, I ordered a Diet Coke and found out it was Cherry Coke. Not a problem and easily fixable, but she grabbed a drink off another table and told the customer not to drink it. It was very abrupt. Then I ordered an omelette and my friend ordered an omelette and she asked him what kind of potatoes he wanted. I asked if I got a choice and she said that I ordered a skillet. I hadn't even looked at skillets on the menu so that's not possible. Then as we're waiting for our food, another waitress screeches at an older gentleman ordering to-go, "Take off your damn mask. I can't understand you!" Our food came and the potatoes were horrendous. They tasted like boiled potatoes and oil. Ugh! I asked for salt and she said it was in the bag with silverware. It wasn't and her reply was to say that we got a packet that another waitress had made up. Basic, throwing her co-worker under the bus. As we left to pay, the same waitress was cold and unfriendly even though we hadn't said anything or made a complaint.
